"There are few things as Bermudan as sailing, shorts, and rum. And this brand, which has been owned and crafted by the same family for seven generations, is the island go-to for thesugar-based spirit. It’s the key ingredient in the island’s famous fish chowder, and also makes up half of Bermuda's signature cocktail—the Dark ’n’ Stormy. The company, which is most famous for its Black Seal label, also has the distinction of running the country's longest continuously operating business—its store in St. George’s, which opened in 1806. The outpost on Front Street in Hamilton followed about two decades later. In addition to three main varieties of rum, Goslings crafts its own ginger beer."
