Great location. I got a private room. Room was comfortable, good value and clean. Hot water was consistent and plentiful for showers - better than most high end hotels actually. No screens on windows and no AC; so, if it’s warm, you’ll open your windows and likely experience a small number of flying bugs in your room - but nothing crazy or unexpected (for me at least). Room cleaning was very good. Downstairs lobby, bar, restaurant, lounge and amenities were clean, comfortable and useful - not just for show. Overall, good experience.

I think the location was nice. Convenient in relation to restaurants and bars. The walk to V and A took about 25 minutes. Doesn’t seem super safe at night though so make sure you take an uber or taxi. Service was… interesting. I’ll leave it at that but know the food quality isn’t great. You’re better eating at any of the places nearby for cheaper and better food. We had a six bed dorm. No issues at all except there is no elevator so carrying heavy bags was annoying but shouldn’t be an issue for most of the type (and age) of people who would choose to stay here.

Positive stay, We booked a private room with an en-suite for 4 people when the room has 6 beds due to cost and it was really good. The room was clean, there were free towels to use during the stay, under-bed storage for bags and cleaners came every day to do general cleaning of floors. The free breakfast was a positive along with nice options. Staff were accommodating and lovely and downstairs is a nice place to charge belongings if you didn’t bring an adapter. ||The only minor point is that it isn’t really a place for a younger crowd because it is a place for people to stay during work. I’d recommend Never@Home if you want a younger, busier crowd!

They were 6 beds on one room we occupied 5. They only made 3. Bar lady / manager had an unpleasant attitude, made us wait 45 minutes for a preordered (order placed previous evening) breakfast. The accommodation is nicely located though

I really wanted to give them full stars, but we had unwelcome visitors daily in our room, despite discussing this with the venue. Nothing was taken, but privacy was not adhered to.

This was my home for 6 nights .. i booked it specifically for the location and i wasn’t disappointed so convenient literally at the center of cape town close to everything .. instant check in and check out .. i stayed in private room (Sydney) with private bathroom very specious and clean however its located in the main road so you must close all 3 windows to avoid the noise from outside.. the room doesn’t have ac only a fan .. no fridge as well which is a downside for me .. the breakfast was limited only 3 options available which was fine by me ..room service clean the room daily .. it was surprisingly quiet most of the time very unusual for a hostel

91 Loop Street appears to be a budget-oriented accommodation ideal for short work stays or those who value simplicity. However, it has several limitations, making it less appealing for longer stays or those seeking comfort and relaxation. Here’s a summary of key aspects: Pros: 1. Cleanliness: The place is noted to be clean. 2. Budget-friendly: Suitable for short, work-related stays. 3. True hostel atmosphere: May appeal to travelers looking for a communal, no-frills experience. Cons: 1. Strict Rules: No eating, vaping, or smoking in rooms; the building is entirely smoke-free. Only allowed to consume food or drinks purchased at the premises. 2. Inconveniences: No lifts, only narrow stairs, which can be frustrating in a crowded setting. No TV in rooms and basic furnishings. No balconies; construction noise and view. 3. Breakfast: Limited options, with an overworked and seemingly unmotivated staff during breakfast hours. 4. Housekeeping: Housekeeping is delayed, coming after 3 PM consistently. 5. Crowded Atmosphere: Common spaces can be busy, and guests are frequently running into one another. 6. Amenities: No towel service directly to rooms; they must be picked up and dropped off at reception every morning. Overall Impression: This hostel may serve those on a strict budget or those looking for a communal, minimalist lodging experience. However, the crowded environment, strict policies, and lack of basic comforts like TVs, balconies, or timely housekeeping make it less ideal for a relaxing or extended stay. The noise and views from nearby construction add to the challenges of the experience.

People are not allowed to eat in the rooms yet some of the people are diabetic. No aircon and the blankets are not warm. The dinning side was not ever cleaned
