First impressions count…and WOW! This hotel is luxury at its finest, both in terms of what it offers and its location and scenery. Sadly, we only stayed for one night but longer would’ve been a dream. Even so, in one day and night our stay was amazing. The pool with its stunning views over the tea plantation and looking at Little Adam’s Peak. The luxurious five star rooms with amazing balcony views. And if you’re staying here, sample the traditional Sri Lankan cuisine experience and the signature cocktails. Fantastic food and drink. Finally, join the lovely hotel naturist for the escorted walk up Little Adam’s Peak at 5:30am for sunrise. You won’t regret it!

​Our stay at 98 Acres Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical. The standout feature is the absolutely unmatchable view of Ella Gap and Little Adam's Peak—it's truly breathtaking. ​What made our visit perfect was the exceptional service. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was incredibly attentive, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile, constantly ensuring our needs were met. ​The rooms were immaculate and the food was amazing. It is worth noting there's no A/C, so it can get a little warm in the room during the day, but this was a minor point in an otherwise flawless experience. ​98 Acres exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it for a luxurious and serene escape and cannot wait to return!

Slightly pricier than the other hotels but worth it. It is worth looking at the comparisons on Tripadvisor etc as my booking was $200 less than with the other company I also regularly book with. Stunningly situated with rooms facing Little Adam's peak and the access road for this climb starts in the hotel grounds. |The welcome and departure are accompanied by Buddhist and Hindu blessings. The staff are gracious and charming. There are buggies to take you from reception/ dining etc to your room if you wish. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool looked welcoming but did not have time to try it out. Wish we could have stayed longer.|Tuk tuk or car needed to drive down into town, which is very lively and clearly on the back-packers trail. Also close to the 9 arch railway bridge by foot or tuk tuk.

We chose 98 Acres for our honeymoon and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is calm, quiet, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery — the perfect place to relax and unwind. From the moment we arrived until check-out, every single staff member was warm, attentive, and detail-oriented. Special thanks to Nirosh and the team for making us feel so welcome — their genuine hospitality really stood out. Our suite was amazing: spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything was kept to a high standard, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, 98 Acres exceeded our expectations and gave us the peaceful, memorable honeymoon we were hoping for. Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation with top-notch service.

A Memorable Stay at 98 Acres Resort – Ella My wife and I had a fantastic time at 98 Acres Hotel in Ella. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the overall service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Our room did not have air conditioning, but thanks to the cool Ella climate, it wasn’t really necessary. The swimming pool is a bit small—not ideal if you’re looking for a large pool experience—but it was still enjoyable. The food was delicious, served as a set menu. We really appreciated the quality and taste. One small suggestion would be to include soft drinks and juices with dinner as complimentary, rather than charging separately—it would enhance the overall dining experience. Everything else was great, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the entire team at 98 Acres for making our trip to Ella so special!

Lovely stay. Breath taking views from the rooms. Lodges lovely. All staff very helpful and friendly. Buggy drivers, which you use to get around resort very efficient, helpful and friendly too. Food good. Nice pool. Great location for Adams Peak and 9 Arches. Would recommend!

From the moment we arrived at 98 Acres, we were surrounded by nature’s beauty and genuine warmth. The property is an enchanting escape, immersed in lush greenery with breathtaking views from the room that make you never want to leave. Every single member of the staff greets you with a smile and makes you feel truly at home. A special mention to Sam, the resident biologist, who guided me on an incredible birdwatching session — in just two hours we spotted more than 30 bird species, thanks to his impressive knowledge and sharp eye that made it possible for me to identify them all. Another heartfelt thanks to Dewan, who made the trek to Adam’s Peak unforgettable. The restaurant is exceptional — every meal was a delight, both in flavor and presentation. Combined with the panoramic scenery, it’s the perfect setting for relaxing after a day of exploration. If you’re in Ella, this place is more than just a stay — it’s an experience you’ll carry in your heart.
