Food was really yummy, the chicken Philly was surprisingly good and good cozy atmosphere. The service was very good However the owner not paying their staff a living wage and expecting 25% tips and 18% on togos takes a star away. Keep the 18% “service fee” in mind if you place an order. The staff was fantastic and they deserve to be paid accordingly by their employer.

10/10. You must give this place a try when visiting Moab. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything bad on the menu. From the drinks to the food, to the atmosphere and staff — it was all great. My group of 5 were all satisfied. The Vietnamese iced coffee is delicious, the yuzu lemonade was bright and zingy. The Báhn Mì AND the cheesesteak were the best I’ve ever had.. how many places can you say that about? My friend got the mushroom ‘cheesesteak’ and also loved it. The salad and broth were also stellar. I will definitely return every time I visit Moab.. and dream of it in between those visits 🤤

The vegan cheesesteak was creative, flavorful, and genuinely among the best I’ve had anywhere. I have nothing but praise for the kitchen. However, the way the bill was handled left a bad impression. The large sandwich was $20, the small was $16 + $4 for a gluten-free bun. When I went to pay, the cashier mentioned there’s an automatic 18% gratuity on takeout orders — but didn’t say it would be calculated after tax. The receipt later showed an 18% “service charge” of $7.20 added on top of tax, bringing the total to $51.14 USD ($73.58 CAD) for two takeout sandwiches. Charging a mandatory gratuity on tax — and on takeout — is simply misleading. Maybe that policy made sense during the pandemic, but COVID has been over for years — it’s time to revisit that policy. Practices like this undermine trust in an otherwise excellent restaurant. Fantastic food, but poor transparency. If 98 Center corrected this, I’d gladly give them five stars

I have had a lot of pho in my life, saw the high review rating so I was excited to try this place. The cubed beef, chopped noodles, flat broth notes, and missing sides of fresh vegetables made it feel more like a fancy instant pho bowl from Costco. Not the experience I hoped for, but give it a try and maybe it will hit better for you. $20/bowl, tourist destination, and in Utah. I get it, but cubed beef come on…

Excellent place for dinner in Moab. The Pork Belly appetizer was sooooo amazing. We shared the Pork Banh-Mi sandwich and the Banh-mi salad. Great selection of specialty cocktails as well.

The food was delicious, service was excellent, and music was great. Upbeat music without too many words, contributed massively to the vibe. Also gotta love a place that features mocktails prominently on the menu. I had the heart opener shrub and noodle salad with wygu steak.

Pretty good Vietnamese fusion food. The pork belly is decent. The cheesesteak sandwich is good, but my wife doesn't like thin meat slices they use. The service was great. It was nice outdoor seating.

I went here with my parents for a pre-sunset dinner, and we all adored this place! Fabulous flavors, fresh ingredients, fun ambiance, and excellent service. My mom and I started with sparkling limeade, and when my dad tasted how good it was, he got one as well. Looking over the menu, I was very pleased to see that nearly everything on the menu could be made gluten-free. The food was superb, but the portions were insanely large. My mom and I split the bahn mi salad with steak and black garlic dressing, and it was magnificent, but there was so much food left over we could've split it three ways. My dad had the small Philly cheesesteak, and he could only eat half of it. We all left very happy, but way too full! I can't wait to return the next time I'm in Moab.

After a long day of hiking at Canyonlands, we were craving great food and even better service--and we hit the jackpot at 98 Center Restaurant thanks to Maddie! From the moment we walked in, her warm smile made us feel so welcome, and her prompt service was exactly what we needed. My husband ordered the beef cheesesteak--juicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. I had the mein chay (noodle salad) and added chicken for extra protein. Let me just say... this salad deserves its own fan club. It was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely divine. Honestly, it's become the talk of the town (at least in our household!). I'd go as far as saying it's my favorite salad of all time. Lastly, my husband absolutely loved the sweet syrup for his iced tea that Maddie recommended--such a perfect touch! Maddie really knows how to make the experience special. We kept saying how much we wish we had a 98 Center back home in Southern California. If you're visiting Moab, do yourself a favor and eat here. The food, the atmosphere, and Maddie's amazing service made this one of our most memorable meals on our trip. Highly recommend!

I got takeout from 98 Center in my second week living in Moab. I got the pork belly plate starter and the bánh mì plate. The pork belly was spectacular, and I'm always a fan of marinated soft-boiled eggs. Same with the meat in the bánh mì entree. The side vegetables were also good. The rice was a little tough. Overall, I think eating in restaurant would be much better with everything fresh. I was in Moab helping build houses with Community Rebuilds. One of the new homeowners worked at this restaurant and I was honored to help support a local business!

Even though it's not authentic Vietnamese foods. I think they can improve the pho's flavor.

The restaurant was super busy and full house! Kudos to the host, who was so friendly. I love when I walk into a restaurant and am greeted by a nice, welcoming host. That first contact make such a difference. Food was interesting. It is a Vietnamese restaurant but there is a little twist to it, which I like. I had deviled eggs and banh mi rice bowl. They were both delicious. I never asked so maybe there is an option for it, but I would prefer to have this bahm mi bowl with some vermicelli noodles instead of stick rice. My friend had a beef pho and she said it was one of the best phos she has ever had. My only comment (not complaint but just pointing out) is that I thought there was way too much noodles in the pho and not enough soup. I did overhear someone asking for more soup.

We came here based on the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The beef Pho was outstanding and better than we expected. Service was laid back & easy to order checking regularly on us. Ambiance was casual- we showed up for lunch after a morning hike. We later read an article in the New York Times that spoke highly of this place, they definitely got it right.

98 Center serves the most incredible salad I've ever had. We're repeat customers whenever we're in town, and it's all about the bánh mì salad. The spicy Thai chili dressing takes it to new heights. Our server admitted that she's often been disappointed by overhyped salads, but this one truly lives up to the hype! Hubby had the pho with organic chicken and shiitakes. The pork belly plate appetizer was fork tender and a flavor bomb. We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio. I have often experienced slower service while sitting outside on restaurant patios, but not here. The service was prompt, friendly and up to par with the quality of the food. Thanks Sayge! We'll definitely dine here again and so should you.

Good. The limeaide fizzy is good. The golden one with turmeric wasn't as good. The beef pho was fine. Wife liked the salad quite a bit. Service and vibe is great and chill. Very friendly.

This is my new favorite place to eat in Moab! The presentation and food were awesome! The staff were great, knowledgeable, engaging and funny. We had a great time overall.

Must visit place for a vegetarian/vegan in Moab! Great mocktails and cocktails - they are quite creative. Heart opener shrub was my favorite - it had a refreshing flavor. Switchel also had amazing flavor of citrus and ginger. Main course we ordered Tofu Banh Mi, Vegan cheesesteak and noodle salad. My personal favorite was Tofu Banh Mi - it was flavorful packed with all the fresh ingredients. The dressing added a spicy kick to this sandwich! The best Banh Mi we have ever had. Noodle salad was so fresh on a hot summer day for lunch. The chili oil dressing took this dish to another level along with peanut adding the crunch. Vegan cheesesteak was basically mushroom cheesesteak. So glad they didn't use beyond meat to make this dish. It was great too! The service is pretty quick and Dev gave us good suggestions! The ambiance is quite hip and casual.

This was the best meal we had during our weekend in Moab. The service was super friendly and inviting, the ambiance was hip and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious - it was very flavorful and the quantities were large. They were also very aware of the ingredients and checked for all the allergens I requested. I am gluten-free, vegetarian and soy-free. The noodle salad was really good. The vegan broth was also comforting and flavorful.

Very modern restaurant! Had a large party so we had to split into 2, but able to accommodate us all. Ordered the tofu banh mi and portobello banh mi nachos. Both were delicious! Several others in our group got pho and loved it as well. Large portions. Pricey, but quality of food was great. Would go back.

The pho broth was authentic and had complexity and depth, so delicious! Not too salty either. The thicker cut chunks of beef weren't as expected but there were the typical thing slices of beef too, thankfully. Noodles were on point. Wished there was Thai basil in addition to the sprouts and green onions as a topping (and skip the cilantro, doesn't fit), but overall it's a very satisfying, solid Pho experience. You can order plain pho noodles for your kiddos but my kiddo loved the pho broth too! Would definitely return.

Great food and atmosphere. I had the Vegan Bahn Mi with gluten free bread and a side salad and it was excellent. There is a choice of tofu or mushrooms and I choose the mushrooms, really good. My husband had the same thing with tofu and regular bread and loved it as well. Definitely check them out. Also there are plenty of meat choices, not just vegan.

Pretty darn good for Utah on Vietnamese food. The banh mi we got was hella crispy and the pickled veggies really on point. The pho was pretty decent and broth really hit the spot. Can get busy so you may have a wait but otherwise about as good as it can get for Vietnamese for anything nearby.

Had the noodle bowl, salad bowl, and vegetarian deviled eggs. All were amazing! As a Cali tourist, we're used to great food. This restaurant could be in SF. Wait staff were cool and prices were reasonable. Good vibe. Fun music piped in. Eat here. You won't be disappointed!

I literally go out of my way to eat here whenever I'm passing through Moab! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Bahn Mi is my go to favorite. It's super accommodating to vegan/gluten free diets and the prices are totally reasonable. If you love good food and local businesses, I can't recommend enough!

Outstanding option for Moab! It's been several years since I've visited this town...err, little city, and the choices when I was here last were pretty limited. What a surprise 98 Center was! So much flavor! I read their menu and hoped for a party in my mouth. Boy did that noodle salad (with organic chicken!) deliver! Watermelon radishes were a super fun touch, the texture variations were lovely, and my lips were on fire...but in a warm, fuzzy, good way. (Though if you're sensitive to spice you might ask questions when ordering.) I greatly enjoyed my meal, the vibe is fun, service was swift and friendly, and I feel great after eating. The yuzu fizzy lemonade was a refreshing treat too. People ask me about restaurant recommendations often; I'll definitely be sending my friends here!

I don't want to be overly harsh in my review because this restaurant really gives it their best effort. The service is great and the ambiance is very nice. However, do not order the Pho. I am a world traveler and Pho is one of my favorite foods. In all honesty this restaurant shouldn't serve Pho. The broth is flavorless, the beef was tough and the correct vegetables were absent and vegetables are the cheapest component of this dish so there isn't any financial reason for them to be absent. If the manager reads this review please get with your chef and have a conversation about improving this dish. Other than that I had a great experience with my friends, but I will not be eating here again. Again, service and ambiance was great, but your chef needs to up his game.

In Moab for vacation. Checked out 98 Center because they offerred vegan options Although nit a vegan restaurant, they have several vegan menu items. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and Banhmi. Both were delicious. Price was fair. The restaurant is very cute with great ambiance Our waiter Xander was so chill, and so nice and friendly. He really improved our already nice experience. He made everyone feel welcome and special. The place is cozy and has a neighborhood feel, though most clientele are tourists. I would love to go back and will if we come back to Moab

Yum! What a great place. Amazing salad and great bahn mi sandwich. Loved the vegan Vietnamese coffee- so good. Wasn't drinking but tons of adult beverage options too. And loved the server- great chill vibe.

I was excited to try this place out because of its vegan menu. I'm technically a pescatarian, so I ordered the kimchi deviled eggs and the Vegan Cheesesteak. I asked them to use real cheese and mayo though and it was delicious! The eggs were also phenomenal. The only slight critique which I feel silly for even saying, is maybe a little less cheese on the cheesesteak. Otherwise, fantastic!

You know it's good food and a great place when the locals eat here. We love this place. Each meal we have had has been great. Drinks fun and tasteful. Service personal and friendly. Booth seating, high chairs, a communal table (seats at least 14), and then the outdoors too. 98 Center is 100% great!

What!! I had no idea Moab was a hub of fabulous cuisine. My partner and I went to several restaurants (though we were camping nearby) because he knows how much of a foodie I am. I picked 98 Center for our first night. Surprisingly it was crowded in DECEMBER, so I can't imagine how long the wait must be during busy season in Moab. Everyone we interacted with was super sweet. Love the service here. Extensive menu of appetizers and drinks, though I got the Beef Pho and an IPA on tap. Impressively good pho. Also the biggest bonus is that they have strong Wi-Fi. Helpful for those miscellaneous tasks between camping without service. Definitely coming back here on my next trip! P.S. Note to self: Get the NACHOS next time.

We sat at 5pm with no wait, at 5:30 the small restaurant was full and people had to wait. Server was very kind and attentive. Smallish menu. The bowls ($18) came with no protein and were $7 to add chicken, a little ridiculous in my opinion so instead went with the bahn mi sandwich which had chicken included and was $16. Good but not outstanding.

Great little lunch spot in Moab with a hipster feel and wait staff with endearing names like Cuddle and Snuggle. It was one of those cool days, perfect for a hot bowl of pho. I rarely drink the broth, but it was so tasty, I left an empty bowl. The Bahn Mi was good with a generous portion of meat. Pro Tip: ask for an extra crispy bun.

98 Center was a surprise sleeper here in Moab, when you're vegan and in a small(ish) town and during the off season at that, you don't expect much outside of a side salad, fried potatoes, chips, or a peanut butter sandwich that you brought with you and made while driving some trails just outside of town. While 97 Center didn't have a long list of vegan options, what they did have was surprisingly delicious. The vegan bahn mi nachos and the vegan Philly cheese steak - mixed, minced mushrooms with a vegan cheese on a bun with the vegetable broth as a side for dipping was super delicious. So delicious in fact I came back a second time during my couple days stay in town. I know what you're thinking and yes, technically they were the *ONLY vegan place open in early December, *BUT that Philly Cheesesteak and Banh Mi nachos were so good, I'd consider a drive from AZ again, just to satisfy my taste buds. Just looking at those pictures in my photo reel brings up thoughts of Pavlov, his dog, a rung bell and an endless stream of drool. So long for now, I'd like to tell ally friends that it's the siren's song of off-roading mecca that brings me back to Moab, but you and I know the real reason I'll be returning the next time. #droolingoverthosephillycheesesteaksandnachos

4+ stars Glad that I did my home work from Yelp and found this place within 5 minutes walking distance from hotel. Service was friendly and efficient, outdoor seating was pleasant. Our waiter a young guy who could speak Mandarin Chinese was eager to practice. It was a nice sunny day, we were all in a good mood. Food was quite good, honestly beyond my expectation. The beef pho was very tasty, although it didn't have all the condiments nor the varieties of different beef portions, the broth did have legit flavor and the slices of filet / chucks of brisket were of good quality. The salad was outstanding, beautiful ingredients with your choice of dressing, we enjoyed it a lot. An excellent alternative to the heavier food we'd highly recommend.

Best meal of our five day stay in Moab. I was suspect of a Gringo owned Vietnamese venue, but they rocked it! The staff is very pleasant, including phone etiquette. Another plus is dogs are allowed in the patio seating. The heralded Banh Mi lived up to its billing. It's just off from "authentic", but more than made up for it with overall flavor. The pork is sooo good. The Pho broth is super satisfying, definitely order a side of you're not getting the full bowl with noodles. Lastly, the side salad with house made spicy Thai chile dressing was ample and yummy. I liked, but didn't love, the Yuzu Limeade. A winner in Moab!

The smell of this place!! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Came with a group to 5. We ordered banh mi nachos, they were so good! Pickled deviled eggs are amazing. Pho soup is delicious. The banh mi salad is some of the best! We had the special buffalo chicken sandwich and it was so good too! Quality, flavorful, delicious food is what you will get! Not to mention the staff is so incredibly nice!!

Came here expecting an authentic, Asian cuisine but no asian person was seen. Have gone to small towns and have had asian ppl run asian restaurants. Ordered 2 bun mi sandwiched, $16 each. Decided to take the order to go instead. They still charged us a gratuity fee of 18%. They charged us total of $56. Don't know how 2 bun mi sandwiches = $32 plus 18% gratuity came out to $56. Food was ok. There was no one in the restaurant despite it being lunchtime. Went down 2 blocks and found a place with a bunch of food trucks. The food trucks were way better.

I normally find eateries on Yelp as I arrive into a new town by looking up preferred food and ratings followed by a peruse of the menu. This time however, was totally different. While soaking in a heated pool at Valley View Hot Springs in Colorado I met a Colorado transplant from New York. Once I told her I would be visiting Moab she proceeded to rave about the 2nd best Pho she'd ever tasted. The best being in Manhattan. I rolled into town on the following Tuesday, excited to try out the recommendation only to find this place closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays . Lucky for me I was staying til Saturday. My partner and I arrived around 5 on Thursday and were greeted by a friendly person who took us to a table directly. Both of us were very hungry and the robust menu with MANY vegan options made it difficult to choose. I picked the tofu vegan banh mi sandwich with a cup of pho to dip. It was amazing! My partner ordered the pho with pork. It smelled amazingly delicious. He ate every bite. We loved the place so much we went again on Friday. Again we were greeted immediately by a friendly staff member and seated promptly. This time I chose the vegan banh mi nachos and my partner got a pork banh mi sandwich. We both loved our choices. We finished by getting a bowl of kettle corn. Wow! What a great way to spice up a carnival food item. It was addictive. The staff all seemed to like each other and were friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. The atmosphere was pretty chill with quiet music playing. I love that 98 center is in the middle of town but not on the busy main street.

Wonderful Vietnamese food! Very filling, large portions. The bahn mi's were some of the best we've had. Pho cup addition was worth the costly upgrade. The cheese steak was very delicious and authentic(apparently the owner is from philly). The basic drinks were quite expensive....$5 for an iced tea was shocking... But overall a great stop in Moab.

The food was made with quality ingredients, service was wonderful as we sipped drinks while waiting for take out. The best meal we had in Moab. I am df, ef, and gf - they were able to accommodate. We would gladly eat there because the restaurant had good energy, but the view of the Colorado River was calling us.

This is as good as it gets in Moab. We went here expecting a fusion approach to Viet and it is what we got. Very friendly service, a bit of a wait during a weekday in April. All the dishes were delicious and as long as you are not expecting authenticity you will enjoy them. The vegan (mushroom) cheesesteak is another level and I highly recommend it even for carnivores. For where it is located, 98 Center is a solid 5 stars.

We wanted something "different" and 98 Center was it. Healthy, some Vegan, very reminiscent of an eatery found in Berkeley, we felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was hospitable. The menu is small so we carefully perused it, looking for something that we would find satisfactory for lunch. 12-Inch Beef Cheesesteak - 4 - a huge sandwich packed with beef, onions, mushrooms and cheese. Beef Pho - 4 - A bit more fresh veg would have elevated it to a 5. The noodles were flat instead of round but the flavor was right. Banh Mi Salad - 5 - A huge salad with lots of fixings. A suggestion might be to change the bowl to a traditional one instead of the one with a small center and large sides. That made it a bit awkward to eat out of. Service was laid back and efficient. We would definitely visit again if in the area.

It was so nice to relax and enjoy a tasty lunch. The service was quick and competent. The Bahn mi with pork was so juicy is dripped down my palm, they were good enough to provide many more napkins. The pho was good, had chicken in the vegan broth with shiitakes. Nice noodles. Outside patio was an oasis.

There's a few things I regret in life....not buying Tesla stock early on, not getting my masters and not ordering the banh Mi nachos at 98 Center. I was there last week and think about them every day. But when we went and saw everyone getting pho or banh Mi, decided to go the traditional route. My cousin ate with me and talked about the beef bone broth for a couple days afterwards so suffice to say, this place is a fantastic pick while in Moab! Everything was delicious and fulfilling but damn, I want some nachos. Just means I gotta make another trip to Moab. You will be mine nachos, you will be mine.

We ate here past 2 consecutive nights while in Moab because the food, service and atmosphere were so exceptional. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options. We had vegetarian Pho, Banh Mi and even nachos - we eat aprox 95% plant based and highly recommend 98 Center - wish they were in Austin!
