Th 99 Cents pizza store is a staple spot for a quick cheap bite when you are bar hopping Greenwich Village.
This spot is not fancy. It's a small storefront with standing room only - it's not meant to hang out in. Yes, you will encounter some panhandlers, yes most of the people that go here are either cheap or broke (both). But if you are not looking to pay $6+ for a slice at one of the larger spots, who cares??
99 Cents Pizza now has an extensive menu with the addition of desserts like brownies cookie, and and churros for $2.50 and under. Which I am betting caters to marijuana dispensaries nearby and the smokers looking for a late night cure for their munchies.
It may be called 99 cents pizza, but the slices cost $1.50 cents now...and it still tastes like 99 cents pizza. So, temper your expectations, satiate your appetite, and save a buck.
