Google
We have used them for years before they were acquired by vista print. It’s no longer a fun place to get designs. Now it’s more like a legal company that monitors everything like a government. Not worth it to use them anymore. Too much stress. And they canceled the greatest designer over an ai image. Ridiculous policies make it too difficult to use anymore. Save your time. Save your energy. Go elsewhere.

I loved the simple process. and variety. I was satisfied with the artwork until I took it to the car wrapping company, to find out that the art was terrible, not linear, and practically un-usable- which I ended up having to pay again to get it fixed. CHECK YOUR ARTWORK WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB, before approving.

Be warned. If you are busy or working when Warren Anthony of 99 Logo calls you, he'll start texting you immediately. Leaving a voice mail is enough. There's a line, and texting a person's phone without permission crosses that line. When telling this man that you are with a client, and no longer interested in this service, here's how he'll respond to you: "then why did you tell me to reserve the speical for you. If that was the case you should have told me the same very day why keep me waiting. This is not what I would expect from my clients thank you anyways." And "and thanks for wasting my time on the call as well" The most unprofessional business I've cone across in a while, and thank goodness i hesitated in using their business.

Designs we got from one of their premium packages were not original. Many of them copied design cues from popular companies like Google, Beats By Dre. Exxon Mobile and others. They refuse to give us a refund per our request. My suggestion is work with a local designer.

I had a super bad experience with 99designs. It is the most fair and non-client oriented platform. Just disappointed.

Designed my book cover with them. Excellent.

Yelp
To clarify, this review is for 99logodesigns.com and not a negative review for 99designs. 99logodesigns.com is a COMPLETE SCAM SITE. I purchased a logo and website creation premium package and I found their staff was pressuring me pay unwarranted fees for the trademarking process of the Logo. I caught them feloniously doctoring a US Federal document from the USPTO to try to collect BS fees they wanted to pocket. $2,500 worth of fake fees that the United States Patent and Trademark Officed confirmed were not from them & warned this was a SCAM. I am out $4,000 for a logo and that is all. Nobody has reached out to me in weeks to discuss reimbursement for not delivering on their offerings, and this business and its people are complete SCAM ARTISTS. A bunch of Indian guys passing off names like Nathan Lynch and Sam Garcia should've been enough to stop my dealings with them, but they were smooth talkers and got me.

Yelp
This place is a scam. Not only are they NOT in Oakland, they are in Australia. But that's beside the point. Their entire business model is a scam. They insist on getting a credit card to "secure the job", saying they won't release the funds until you approve of the design their flunkie sends you. We fell for this - hook, line and sinker. We put down a deposit and chose a designer to create a logo for us. All we got was public domain clip-art. We never approved anything, and when we tried to cancel the whole thing we were told that we cannot cancel - that it was up to the designer to do that. We are basically being told that we HAVE to accept their crappy work. This is what we were told: "You have until Monday, February 22, 2021 to request additional changes otherwise the project will complete automatically and any secured payments will be released to the designer." We NEVER approved any designs. This is an elaborate scam. Fortunately we saw that early on and filed a dispute with our credit card company. Trying to deal with the staff at 99designs.com is a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT under any circumstances hire this company. It is a complete scam. Another thing - when we go to their site, our PC-Matic throws a huge error alerting us to malware or something else nefarious on their site.

Yelp
Avoid Web Design contests. 99% of designers are not web designers. In 99% you will get design or optimization that you will not be able to develop into code. If you are seeking mobile optimization for existing website, you will left empty handed with a design that your websites code structure can't support. Or you will need to pay extra to fix all wrong things "designer" on 99designs did. Under the F.A.Q. there is a lot of false information that is wrong on so many fields. Lying to the clients and hiding the real truth is what 99designs staff will do first. Then, they will try to find a way to blame you for their own lack of quality and fair service. Imagine that you hired the architect through some company to redecorate your house and he does not know how to read the blueprints of your existing house, and the company which enlisted that architect says that he is a very creative person but you as a client are responsible for mistakes THEIR architect will make. 99designs staff under their F.A.Q. says that that is OK because of possibility to have a wide range of creative people. The part where your house will kill you after the work is done is not the problem of the company (says 99designs) which services you use. Yet 99designs is responsible for finding the best people for your contest, and they push the worst ones without any knowledge of web designing leaving clients with empty pockets and empty hands.

Yelp
After finding a designer I liked and almost paying the designer to start the process I wasn't able to complete the payment because of internet issues. so I decided to finish the request the next day. On the following day when I tried to log in to my account to complete the purchase 99designs website said it needed to confirm my identity and would not let me access my account unless I provided a picture of my passport or my government ID. This made me distrust the company. There is no reason why you cannot verify my identity with just my email and credit card information like any other online business. I distrust this companie's reasons for asking for personal information at a different time than when you open an account, If I had made that payment the day before I fear my purchased design would have been used as almost blackmail in order to get me to send them my personal documents, how else would I have been able to log in to get the files I would have already paid for. I really dodged a bullet! This company is extremely shady, don't trust them.

Yelp
Shoboo on 99designs is a horrible designer to work with. Paid for a project with 62hour turnaround and he lied and made excuses every week, wasted 6 weeks of my time until I demanded a refund. How is he a 'too seller' and behaving like this. Said delays are out of his hands because his power is going off and he doesn't feel well. 62hour wait turned into 6 week wait and a battle to get my money back. Learn from my mistake and go elsewhere

Yelp
Terrible at best. designers write the name of the company on some fancy color background. Save your money.

Yelp
I recommend 99Designs. It's strange for me seeing the other reviews that are negative, but this simply hasn't been my experience with them at all, and I am arguably a difficult client. I did have issues with the first designer chosen, but 99Designs was willing to refund the amount. They answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. They didn't rush to get off the phone and really made sure that there was nothing else I needed help with before the calls ended. They have a help page which provides good information to get the most out of their services and if you're not a reader, call them. They will go over things with you and or help you set things up where they can. My advice, before you commit money to anything, call and or read the help page topics. Get advice from them and then make a decision. I think this reduces the odds of a bad experience. Again, every time I've called the people were friendly and helpful during the whole process. I will use them whenever I have a need to find an artist.

Yelp
99Designs grossly misrepresents itself as a design company. The "designers" I encountered were nothing more than people who know how to cut and paste clip art. They could not comprehend the most basic instructions for a simple, clean book cover design. The eyesore designs were poorly constructed and did not reflect the genre at all. There was no thoughtful consideration for a design that actually captured the book's essence; they were only interested in cranking out something marginally passable. The beautiful designs they showcase on their website are nothing like the garbage designs you actually get. Save yourself some heartache and get a real designer instead.

Yelp
DON'T GET SCAMMED!! After signing up for a design contest, terrible design options disallowed us from picking a winner in time. When they mentioned "distribution of funds" would take place, we assumed we would be refunded the money...that was not the case. The money was supposedly paid to some of the designers. Now there is no way to receive a refund OR pick a design.

Kevin W.

Yelp
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU! 99Designs has some of the rudest and most incompetent staff I've ever experienced in my life. Shortly after the project was completed, I found out the logo I paid for was stolen from another company after a customer reached out to tell me. When I say stolen I mean it was IDENTICAL other than the name, there is absolutely no way this was a coincidence. When I notified 99Designs that the logo was stolen they told me they aren't responsible and weren't willing to help. I've spent over a thousand dollars on a logo I can't use...

Yelp
First they suspend my account after I have not used it in literally a year. Stating my designs are not adequate. Even though they all made the finalist list. Then they suspend my account again for the same reason. Again My design was in the finalists list. My advice to designers- DON'T BOTHER!!!!!

Larra l.

Yelp
Mediocre work provided by logo designers. Highly unprofessional and rude 99Designs staff. They lure you with the promise of a full refund but they don't consider you wasted 4 or 5 days for NOTHING!!! Stay away. I started two project on this platform and both of them fail miserably. I have been in the business of web dev for 19 years. This 99Designs site rates among the lowest I have see in the industry. Case in point: When they cancel an order, if you try to go back to the page a message display read "NOTHING TO SEE HERE"... (keep moving I guess..). I find this message as arrogant as the support staffer who hanged up on me. BUYER BEWARE!
