We had club room on 3rd floor. It’s was clean and tidy but not much space. staff upgraded us to room on 6th floor which was more spacious. Breakfast was nice but not a great deal of choice

I stayed at 9Hotel Opéra in Paris and experienced a violation of personal privacy and safety that no guest should ever endure. On the morning of checkout, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed, a hotel staff member knocked on my door asking if I needed cleaning. I informed them — explicitly — that no one was to access my room until I checked out at noon.||||Less than an hour later (with DND sign still in place), that same employee unlocked and entered my room WITHOUT CONSENT. I was naked, just about to step into the shower. I screamed for them to leave, vulnerable, shocked and outraged.||||I reported the incident immediately to the front desk and later had a call with the General Manager. During the call, she expressed how fearful and uneasy my experience made her feel as a woman who also travels alone. She thanked me for contacting the hotel directly before posting publicly — saying that having my report allowed her to act on documentation from a guest, rather than reacting to a public relations crisis.||||She assured me the hotel would terminate the third-party cleaning company and replace them with an all-female internal team. While this is a positive systemic step, it does not address the direct harm I experienced.||||I requested a full refund of my $1,700 stay — not to be punitive, but because this was a fundamental breach of safety and consent. Instead, I was issued a $400 refund — roughly the cost of one night and breakfast. That kind of refund might be reasonable for a malfunctioning air conditioner or disruptive construction — but not for a violation of personal safety and consent.||||Despite their verbal assurances, the hotel reframed my experience as an “inconvenience” and went silent after I followed up.||||I tried to resolve this quietly, respectfully, and directly with the hotel. They had every opportunity to make this right. They chose not to. I am sharing this so future SOLO FEMALE travelers can make a safer choice than 9Hotel Opéra.

We stayed here for 4 nights after arriving from Amsterdam , and it honestly felt like stepping into a different world, in the best possible way. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a young woman at the front desk who greeted us with a smile and said, “We’ve been expecting you!” It immediately set the tone. She handed us the key to room 506, and it was such a funny coincidence, as we had stayed in room 507 in Amsterdam. When I mentioned that, she smiled and said, “Well, I hope this one is better!” And it really, really was. Our room on the 5th floor was bright, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Beige curtains, warm lighting, carefully chosen textures , it was small but full of personality. I especially appreciated the little design details: a wardrobe area built into the wall with accent wallpaper, mismatched but intentional nightstands (one was metal, the other was a painted wooden stump!), and lovely flooring. It felt curated with love, not just furnished. The lobby downstairs was equally impressive — spacious and stylish, with different seating areas, beautiful couches and armchairs, even a small reading corner with books. There’s also a fridge with drinks at the front desk and a very cozy common area where you can relax or have a coffee. Location-wise, it was perfect. Just 10 minutes from Gare du Nord (we arrived on the Eurostar), 25 minutes walking to the Louvre, and we even walked all the way to Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel (line 32, if I remember correctly), and metro stations close by. We barely used public transport because we could walk everywhere! The daily housekeeping was excellent — clean, tidy, and consistent. There’s also a luggage room, which was super helpful on the day we checked out. Our train wasn’t until the evening, so we left our bags at the hotel, spent a few more hours exploring Paris, then came back, relaxed a bit in the lobby with some coffee, and picked them up before heading to the station. But more than anything, what stood out was the hospitality. Every single staff member we interacted with was warm, kind, and welcoming. It felt like the kind of place where people genuinely care about your stay. It’s funny , when I compared reviews beforehand, this hotel and our previous one had almost the same star rating. But they’re not even in the same league. This one was miles better. Clean, well-located, cozy, and with a soul. We stayed 5 days and felt completely at home. Highly recommend. One of the best stays of our entire trip.

if you are thinking of staying at the Rue de Papillon branch of the "9hotel opera" do not expect the rooms that their website offers you, because you will not see them even with binoculars, because those on the website, as the receptionist explained to us, are from another more elegant branch with which the hotel collaborates. The rooms are passed off as doubles but are clearly single rooms where a double bed has been forced into place: the door of the room, when it opens, touches the bed and it is impossible to get through, you have to go over the bed to get out and the suitcases open on the floor do not fit if there are two of you. Tiny bathrooms, sinks that are unusable without flooding the floor because they are so small and ZERO privacy because from the corridors you can hear everything that happens in the other rooms and vice versa. Terrible wifi. Acceptable breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient location and close to two subways. Still, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We had booked the Opera 9 hotel for 4 days for the Beyonce concert with my group of 6 friends. The welcome was terrible, the rooms were dirty, the air conditioning did not work in June. The night shift worker Ali is completely incompetent. He does not even know how to operate the air conditioning system in the rooms. There is no health kit or slippers in the room. The toilet door does not lock, the door is covered in dust. The tiles are moldy. I would never recommend it at all. My short trip to Paris was ruined.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at 9Hotel Opéra for the second time, and I felt it was finally time to share just how wonderful both of my experiences have been. From start to finish, this hotel continues to impress me on every level. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish, a perfect blend of modern comfort and boutique charm. The rooms are impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Everything feels high quality, from the linens to the little details that make your stay feel special. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast, fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. It really sets the tone for the day. Whether you’re into pastries, fresh fruit, or something more hearty, there’s something for everyone. But what truly sets 9Hotel Opéra apart is the exceptional staff. Every team member I interacted with was professional, kind, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel welcome. A special mention goes to Hanane, the Front Office Manager, and Séverine, the Director, both of whom embody warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. Their personal touch made a real difference in my stay, I felt more like a guest in someone’s home than a customer in a hotel. Having stayed twice now, I can confidently say that 9Hotel Opéra has become my go-to hotel in Paris. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, service, and a true Parisian boutique experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Inès

I was not sure what to expect as the average is 3.9 on Google. Far from true, room was nice and a good size, the air conditioner saved my life and the staff was nice. My room was clean.

Very comfortable hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with choice of hot and cold dishes, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, meats etc. Charming lady who looked after us at breakfast made sure everything was constantly tidied and looked appetising. Booked a club room (62) which was very quiet, bright and airy and had a small balcony. Excellent lighting. Bathroom had a window. Less than 5 mins walk to Poissoniere metro and 15/20 to Gare du Nord. Lovely wooden decor and furniture in common lounge area. Complimentary hot drinks available all day and comfortable place to sit before/after check in/out.. Would definitely stay here again.
