9th Ave Hostel

This was a super nice place to stay! The house was clean, the yard was beautiful and a great place to chat. The beds were good and the pillows were awesome! That's the real test for me is the pillows. So these lived up to my expectations of a pillow. The room was secure and I felt very safe there. It was easy to find and only a 5 min walk to Big Daddy's BBQ which is amazing!!

Greatest hostel I've ever been! Very clean and the host is very friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable I slept almost 10 hours straight on my first night. It was a brand new hostel yet surprisingly there were several people already and I've met really great people while I was there and the owner had setup a small campfire for us that evening. I have missed the chance to use the telescope in the hostel because of the midnight sun but will definitely go back this winter or next year to see the Aurora.

I stayed at the hostel and would recommend it to everyone. I looked at others and wasn't impressed with their setup. the most important thing for me about hostels is cleanliness and friendliness. *close to down town (2 minute walk) * clean new organized home. very chic *close to airport host is very helpful and willing to take care of you and will make you feel like you're at home.

First time to stay in a hostel. Won't be the last. This place is great. Very inviting and friendly. Cho is a great host. The others staying here vary greatly, all good people with great stories. I'm traveling on my motorcycle and even have a garage to keep it in. Not sure if I'll ever be back up here from Texas, but if I am, this is where I'll be staying.

Stayed overnight in June between an evening airport arrival and a morning train. Good cost effective lodging with good location near downtown for myself and 2x co-travelers to get a night's sleep. Its a hostel experience with guests coming and going at various hours, but host was friendly, it was clean and comfortable, and other guests during our stay were quiet, respectful, and friendly. Would stay again!

I really love this hostel. Stayed 8 nights. Cho is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is a home away from home. It is small and it is easy to talk to all the travelers. The beds are very comfortable too. The hostel is really new and on the edge of downtown.

Stayed here in June. It's a big house so feels like a family place. It's cosy and clean and sunny and has a beautiful garden with a big swing sofa outside. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm but was lucky enough to have it to ourselves. Would stay here again!

The shower is pretty gross and the showerhead was not placed well for people taller than 5'5". The mattresses could use replacing. Overall its good, for a hostel. Cho is really nice. The outside doors aren't actually locked thoigh, so that's a little disconcerting.

I stayed at this hostel in Fairbanks with 2 of my other friends for 3 days and 2 nights. First off, the host is super nice and seems like an easy going guy. The common areas aren't the cleanest but I didn't really spend much time there so I can't complain. Our set up in the room was nice! It was 2 bunk beds and it had a bathroom in the room so it kind of felt like our own bathroom, but I'm pretty sure other people on our floor are able to use it. Notably, the beds are super comfy! And I like that each bed has its own curtain. I imagine it's to keep the light out when there is 24 hours of sunlight, but it was the best sleep I had in the last 2 weeks of traveling. I don't think there are many options when it comes to hostels in Fairbanks, but this was a good one to stay at for a good nights rest after staying up all night trying to catch the northern lights!

I love this homy hostel! The owner Cho is really friendly and he has good recommendations for good food in the city! The dorm room is pretty clean and cozy! Will definitely come back if i ever decided to visit Fairbanks again:)

Yes. I stayed there for one night. You can't ask for a cleaner, newer, better environment or a closer place to downtown where you can just walk to Thai restaurants or the local shops. Cho, the manager was very friendly and helpful. He is quick to accommodate you if you have any special requests and the place is very laid back atmosphere. If I would stay there again and recommend everyone else to.

I stayed in 9th Avenue hostel from May-27 to May-29 2014 for 3 nights. I was at Fairbanks airport and did not have an advance booking, I called them from Airport and for my luck the dorm bed was available. It was over-all an awesome experience, I would surely stay there again and recommend other friends too. Cho was super good to us, we did some BBQ on our last night.

Stayed here in January 2015 and Cho was one of the most friendly hosts I have ever come across in a hostel. The place was always kept nice and cozy even during the -0 temperatures and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies and some spices. Definitely booking this again next time I go back

I stayed there for 2 nights and it was really homy feeling hostel. When I needed lift from airport Cho, the manager, picked me up. He was very nice and if you need anything he`s gonna help you out. I had a great time there and. This place is great recommend to everyone.
