I stopped by A-Cai Beef Soup in Tainan after seeing it pop up in searches. There was already a line before they opened, so arriving early is probably a good idea. I ordered the regular beef soup. The beef seemed very fresh and likely never frozen, as it was tender and juicy despite not being heavily marbled. The portion was generous, and the broth had a slightly sweet flavour. It was good, though I’d recommend ordering additional dishes to make it feel like a more complete meal. Overall, 8.5/10.

A bit of a long line, but not unbearable to wait through since it moves pretty fast. You fill out your order sheet beforehand, so they get your food out pretty fast once you sit down. We got the beef noodle soup, some stir fried vegetables, beef brisket soup, and some stir fried noodles. Definitely better than the place we went to the other day, the broth was extremely flavorful with hand-cut noodles that really soaked in that delicious broth.

beef is tender, the soup is rich and flavorful, and the portion is just right. The taste feels authentic and comforting — perfect for both locals and visitors. Definitely one of my favorite food spots in Tainan!

Cash only! Ask for english menu. The beef fried rice was to die for! The beef soup is best dipped in the sauce. We just followed how the locals did it. Put some ginger in the soup too!

You’ll queue up to order and pay before grabbing a seat, and while the prices are a bit high for a street-side restaurant, the generous portions and incredible flavor make it worth every dollar. The food comes out quickly, the service is solid, and their popularity speaks for itself—they’ve even opened a second location within walking distance if the line for this location gets too long. I highly recommend the premium cut beef soup, beef fried rice, and beef tongue side. Just thinking about it has me drooling. This is a must-visit!

Each dish was expertly cooked, full of flavor, and left me wanting more. What’s even better is the superb service and the clean, air-conditioned environment, which makes dining here comfortable even on hot days. I’ll definitely return!
