A Casa das Portas Velhas Hotel Boutique

A boutique hotel in the truest sense of the meaning. The renovation of the property has been exquisitely done bring this old building into the 21st century while being able to preserve some of it's heritage. The staff is also very attentive and helpful. On the negative side the bed is too soft the surrounding area feels unsafe (but that is a major problem in Salvador). On our second stay there was also a lot of noise (around 3 AM) inside the hotel (new guests or guests leaving who knows).

Nice hotel and lovely staff. The neighborhood seems a bit "iffy" but is close to a few good 'boteco' local restaurants, which places become crowded and loud on weekend evenings, giving them a bohemian atmosphere. One needs to walk (only 10-15 minutes) through the less-safe 'Baixa dos Sapateiros' to reach the main tourist attractions (Elevador, Pelourinho, etc) in the historic center.

Good service, clean and decoration done with love and care. It's close to the center but not recomended to walk there after dark. Some choices to stay local but to take transport to centre or other areas.

Excellent hotel with good attendance and amazing decoration, the localiza is not so good, but I really recommend this hotel, mainly for couples. The hotel has a romantic smell in the air.

Hotel com clima ameno e agradável. Possui elevador e os quartos possuem secador de cabelo. A TV e ar condicionado estão em ótimas condições. O café da manhã é gostoso, mas não possui luxo. A localização não é a melhor de todas, mas fica ao lado de ótimos bares.

Las instalaciones son muy buenas! La decoración te transporta para iniciar tu viaje de descanso. El personal es muy amable. El desayuno es riquísimo! Tienen un patio muy lindo para descansar. La ubicación del hotel es buena.

Cheguei ontem e a impressao inicial foi muito boa. Porem, no quarto, a agua quente para o banho nao funcionou e o ar condicionado estava fraco. Saímos à noite e relatamos isto na recepção, pedindo providências. Quando voltamos, nada foi feito, os problemas persistiram e ninguém da recepcao sabia dizer se haviam tomado providências. Considero uma falha grave esta postura.

Hotel em estilo colonial localizado no Bairro Nazaré em frente uma belíssima Igreja e próximo a vários pontos turísticos e a bares que ficam a menos de uma quadra. O hotel é primoroso, com decoração de muito bom gosto. Atendimento super cordial. Quartos confortáveis e silenciosos. Excelente relação custo-benefício. Recomendo e pretendo voltar.
