If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. It's in a convenient location, has a lot of amenities, great service, and a fun musical instrument theme! When we first came to this place at night, it was a bit confusing on how to get in. When you reach the front door, on the left is a doorbell button. Press that to open the front door and the gate in the lobby. Reception is on floor 2. They are very helpful there. I loved that you could get filtered water, breakfast, laundry, and luggage storage here. Besides the filtered water, everything else you had to pay a small fine for, but it's not bad at all. They even have a gluten free breakfast! They also have connections to a few trips or excursions that you can get a discount on by booking through them. Amazing place. If I ever go to Palermo again, I'm staying here.

I had one of my best experiences staying at this hostel. I met some great people, including one of the staff members, Alessandra, who helps create such a friendly atmosphere. We gathered on the terrace almost every night for a few hours to enjoy each other's company. All the staff members were nice, helpful, and friendly.

Located on the second floor of an old building, the hostel is quite clean. There is air-conditioning in the room and an individual locker for storage. The toilet and bathroom were quite clean. But it was a bit noisy as it was facing a noisy street. The hostel provided ear plugs for use during night and a free condom in case of needs.

The facilities were good and the hostel provided a fridge, stoves and cooking utensils. The room and the toilets were most of the time clean. Each was provided with one big locker. You can use the washing machine for 4 Euro and hang the clothes in the balcony. One major problem was sound insulation. The windows could not be completely closed and the room was facing a busy street. It was particularly busy during weekends as the cars and motorbikes might turn up music when they were driving late at night.

Completely unsatisfied with the hotel..I booked a room and later I came to know there is no cupboard to hang my clothes..Even for single room the toilet was outside. And now after one week I got message from UAE number, which have my stay details and my number.. Completely outrageous.

Perfect location. 10minute walk to Massimo Théâtre and a few minute walk to Piazza Castalnuevo. I have never rode a bus in Palermo during this trip. Walking alone at night and area is safe.|Clean facilities including our room. Ladies toilets and kitchen are well kept. I left some cannolino in the fridge overnight and found it there the morning after :). |It is an arsty laidback hôstel too. Loved how they did the instructions in the kitchen. Cool and bright idea! Normally i dont take notice of these stuff. |The bunker beds are not squeaky although since the hôstel is in front of the main road, expect for some honks. Lockers are clean, not smelly. Key will be provided by the hôstel. |The receptionist named Emmanuelle was soft spoken, very nice and helpful. 🍊🍊 The other staff and even the cleaner were polite.|The hôstel gives a key which can open the main, second door and your room. In the latter part of my stay, i noticed that i dont need the key anymore to open my room (number 5) ?? I just have to push it.|A tiny tiny detail though is when you go to the ladies shower/toilet, since the lights are motion sensored, i was doing my business on the toilet and the lights went off. I had to "move" just to have some lights, which turns itself off like every 30 seconds. Nonetheless, i am very satisfied and will surely rebook when i revisit Palermo. ||

Yelp
I stayed 3 nights, but paid for 4 nights. The low rating is purely for the lack of honesty from one of the owners. Such a bullshitter, in my opinion. I paid for extra nights stay in advance, but on the same day I paid, I decided to go to Catania. So I asked if I could get a refund. One employee asked the person in charge and refused. Then I asked her myself and her response was their cancellation policy is "3 days before arrival." I was like hmm...and walked away. I later searched the website and my initial reservation email. NOTHING! I asked 2 employees and neither are aware of a written policy. So who is lying? Probably should have fought, but instead I'll leave a low rating. Their loss. ROOM & SHOWER: Stayed in the 6-bed female dorm for 2 nights and 4-bed mixed dorm for 1 night. You are provided a key for your locker. Comes with 2 shelves. The 6-bed female dorm is spacious. It faces the road and it's VERY noisy. The mixed dorm is smaller. There is a window, but not as noisy. All rooms are unlocked. Therefore, anyone can enter the room. Strange if you ask me. None of my items, however, went missing. 2 showers and 2 toilets in the women's bathroom and men's bathrooms. Cleaned once a day. Your bedsheets are placed in the lockers. RECEPTION/STAFF: 24/7 reception. They all speak English, including the owners. They aren't the best hostel staff I've met (in Italy), but besides that bitch, her brother and the rest are cool. Santo (co-owner) cooked a plate of spaghetti alla carbonara. It was very good! Pretty cool and talented guy. Would be cool if he could serve breakfast and/or dinner for a fee. It could make the hostel more inviting. KITCHEN: No cooking oil was available. There are some basic spices. The basic things are available, such as a microwave, salt, plates, cooking pans and pots, cups, silverware. No dishwasher. COMMON AREAS: There are books, board games, and a TV in the same area where breakfast is served. There is seating in the kitchen and a patio to chill or smoke. There is also a small area next to the reception/small bar. Several Congo drums and a piano to play. You might spot someone playing the piano. This hostel isn't 100% set up for social interaction. The potential is there. You just have to initiate or join an existing conversation, which tends to be better at night. BREAKFAST: Breakfast options are cheap-quality as usual. Never tried it. Juice, cereal, milk, coffee, and croissants (for a fee). I heard the juice was terrible. THE SURROUNDINGS: I felt safe. Latest time I was in the area was 1 am. You'll find shops, restaurants, bakery, grocery store, and other retail shops within a 5 minute walking distance. MISCELLANEOUS INFO: No elevator. No dryer, but there is a washer. Cost is 4 euros. You can dry your things across the kitchen, which is an open outdoor space. 5 minute walk to the airport shuttle pickup spot as well as several other bus stops. They have free laptops available for use and I used one, but it wasn't any faster than using my phone. The Wi-fi speed isn't the fastest (Wi-fi speeds in Italy isn't fast in general). Palermo Centrale Station is a 30-minute walk and a 10-minute ride by bus. You can rent a beach towel for 1 euro. If I was given a refund for the night I did not stay OR if the co-owner was honest about why she refused to give me a refund, then this rating would be 3 stars.
