I ordered the goat dish and the beef dish. Don’t know if this is Portuguese taste or it’s just super salty. The meat quality is good and it was very very soft, but super salty even though it comes with boiled potatoes.

I ordered the soup of the day (vegetable) and Bacalhau à Brás. Everything was amazing. João was a great server as well.

We came for the chanfana, a local speciality, and it did not disappoint! The bacalhau à brás is done extremely well too. There are outside tables next to a church. Excellent vibe to enjoy the good food esp in evening.

Very small restaurant with a home like feel and great service. The vegetable soup, beef cheeks & goat stew were amazing!!! The beef so tender it falls apart with a spoon. Advice, don’t eat all day. You will need the stomach space. Huge portions at a very reasonable price.

We had a brilliant meal in this old fashioned and traditional restaurant. The owner was really nice and very helpful, making excellent recommendations. The food was gorgeous, the goat and veal just melted. Large portions with an excellent red, again recommended nit very reasonable. I only scored 3 for atmosphere because the restaurant was virtually empty

Everything was good. Food was tasty. I made a mistake ordering veal thinking it was lamb. It was not on par with the beef that would be served in American restaurants, and that is the reason for 4 stars. Other than veal, we had fish soup and octopus and both were great. Would recommend.

Friendly service, food was delicious. I had veal, rice and beans and a cabbage salad in the side. For dessert I had their almond cake slice served with scoop of ice cream and an espresso. With lunch I had a beer which was perfect for the heat. They take cash only and ask about their daily specials and soup. Nice location right next to a church off the main pathway but still great people watching .

Pleasant service in a small rustic restaurant serving mainly Portuguese food. Unfortunately, the cod bacalao had many bones in it and the traditional goat stew was a little overcooked.
