A Hotel Joo Chiat

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5I had an absolutely amazing stay at A Hotel Joo Chiat. From the moment I arrived, the owner and staff gave me the warmest welcome. They are incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always greeting you whenever you come in or go out. Their hospitality alone already makes this place special.The cleanliness is perfect—truly one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Every single corner of the building is spotless, and my room was kept in excellent condition throughout my stay. The toilet is also extremely clean, and I loved the refreshing smell of the shampoo and body wash. The wall-mounted dispensers are convenient and easy to use as well.The location on Joo Chiat Road is fantastic. Just a short walk outside and you’ll find so many great places to eat, and even several specialty coffee shops along the street. It’s a lively area, but still very safe and comfortable to walk around day and night.For the price, the quality you get is unbelievable. It’s hard to find a hotel with this level of cleanliness, friendliness, and comfort at such an affordable rate. Truly great value.Overall, I loved everything about this hotel.Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay here again!

Nicely renovated small but comfortable hotel with well designed room layout and new fittings. Well located close to many eateries along joo chiat and geylang serai areas and short walk to bus stop as well as MRT station. Good for short or longer stays even.

Total booking 4 rooms, 3 with window and 1 no window. Anyway the room with window cannot open, and even cannot see whether got rain or not. But the hotel cannot is cool enough and all others are good. As some of my colleagues are Muslim, therefore this location is really good for them.

My last review is honest. My current review shows remarkable improvement. Internet problem solved. No facilities? No problem. Didn’t book this for facilities. It’s still one of the best dollar for dollar solution for a short work trip. Henry, at the front desk, you’ve outdone yourself. Again. Thank you

The air-conditioning temp was perfect, which meant I had a good 10-hour stretch of undisturbed sleep, despite 3 other strangers in the room. The linen was of good quality which made a difference to this humble capsule.However, all this was spoilt by the act of an inconsiderate lower bunk guest. Of the 3 steps, which gets me down from the upper bunk, she had placed her scarf and hairtie on the already slippery wood 2nd rung of the ladder. When I could not find my footing, as I descended from the upper bunk, I fell onto the floor from a height, landing on my recently operated total knee replacement. It was very lucky I had not broken my hips falling from a height! I told Management that a warning should be placed there as it is not meant to be a shelf for the convenience of the lower bunk!

There were a couple of bad surprises with this hotel: We didn't get the nicer looking room that was in the pictures because that was "already taken by someone else". The location seemed fine before arriving, but wasn't great upon arrival. There are loads of Indian shops nearby, but the bigger issue is that the hotel itself located right beside a pub/restaurant that operates from early morning, until late, late night. Drunk people and also loud music was playing every day under our window non-stop. I asked the reception but Indian lady didn't seem to understand the problem. Maybe she never tends to sleep at night... I had to go out and ask pub owner to turn the music down which was still loud around 12AM. Everything continued from next morning. But you kinda used to it. There were a few nice songs on their playlist if you into that. :) Later on that night, there were some kids! running and playing marathon on the hotels corridor at 2AM. We had to get out the bed and chase them down to teach manners. Staff doesn't seem to care much about the happenings inside or outiside hotel too much... The Wifi connection was also very slow and instable. Coming from other Asian countries, and considering the price this was very disappointing. But sadly "cheap" Singapore hotels are like this and this one was not exemption. :(

Loved the location.  Rooms clean and great value for money.   Staff very helpful.   Shout out to Henry who on a number of occasions went above the call of duty to help me.

Staff is professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. For me the location is very good. It is close to a metro station. There are lots of buses but I never took one. Looking restaurants of all types.
