We stayed at La Villa Creole Home Stay and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was very beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a lovely vintage chair where you can sit back and relax — it really added to the charm and ambience of the place.
The washroom was a bit tiny, and the room has thin walls, as we could hear voices from the next room. Also, the starting stretch of the road leading to the property had a strong unpleasant smell, which was quite off-putting, but thankfully it’s only for a short distance — once you cross that part, the rest of the road is absolutely fine.
On the plus side, the location is excellent. The stay is at a walkable distance from Rock Beach and is almost centrally located — close to the French Colony, Vinayagar Temple, Kamatchi Hotel, and several cafés and bakeries, making it very convenient to get around.
We had booked a hut stay but were provided with an AC room instead. We were also informed that they are planning to open a kitchen within the premises soon, which would be a great addition.
The manager deserves a special mention — he was very polite and helpful, especially since we had a late check-in. He’s from Hyderabad as well, which made the interaction even more pleasant.
Overall, it’s a good stay for the ambience and easy commute to nearby attractions. A nice option if location and vibe matter to you.
