A-Lodge has to be one of my favorite stays. Not only did they offer an affordable, amenity filled room (with a kitchenette!), but also a lovely setting with plenty of things to do. During our time, we enjoyed a hike that starts behind the lodge, the slackline park, and the sauna. It’s also an easy 5 min walk to a bus station that takes you to downtown Boulder/connecting transportation. And lastly, all the staff were super courteous. I enjoyed hanging out in the lobby with them by the super cozy fire place. Thanks Nick and all the staff for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay at A-Lodge. I came with my kids and they were happy and kept busy the whole time. The staff was so sweet with them. We enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful setting including the hike that starts right behind the lodge and the lovely creek. The room was wonderful, clean, and had everything we needed to be comfortable.

I stayed in the hostel room for a few days and then came back and stayed in a motel style room and both were very clean and the motel style room had a TV too! A-Lodge is a little tucked away but close enough to fairly easily pop into Downtown Boulder, etc (it’s about 7 minutes drive from DT Boulder). Plus the parking is very easy and included in the price at A-Lodge! If you need a cost-effective but clean and accessible place in Boulder I highly recommend A-Lodge. The wifi is good for remote work too. There are multiple trails nearby (walking and hiking) within walking distance of A-Lodge. They have a sauna too!! Impeccable service from Kate, Fernando, and Echo at A-Lodge! They made sure I had everything I needed for my stays. 😌 They each get 5/5 stars! 🤩 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This spot is a chill vibe, super peaceful, safe, and a close drive to everything! Plus as I mentioned the service is great! Check it out if you can!!

I loved this place. The setting the lodge is in is absolutely beautiful. You’re only a couple miles away from Pearl Street and the University, yet you feel like you’re secluded in the mountains. So peaceful. The rooms are simple but artfully appointed following the clever “adventurer” theme that you see throughout the property. Custom shower curtains, headboards and pillows and just cute decor and signage all over the property to match the theme. Beautiful creek running through where we sat in the red Aderondick chairs early morning to listen to birds and water with the yummy local coffee provided in the room. Love how the owners have maxed out the property with a few RV camping spots as well as platforms built for tent campers at the base of the trail. And a nice exterior bathroom with a lock box for the campers to use which was very clean and warm. Coffee and a few muffins in lobby, as well as a bit of beer and wine at night. I have to say, though I usually choose just a bit fancier hotels, I will go back to A-lodge again when I’m in town for my kids college events. The property was tranquil. The rooms clean and well appointed. Customer service great. I really loved the calmness and simplicity of it. So well done. . No complaints

Google
4 instead of 5 stars due to Good and Bad. The GOOD: as expected for Boulder the staff was exceptional, attentive, kind and courteous. The Place overall was rustic wild and woodsy. This is the BEST choice for mountain, steam and woods in Boulder area. Now the BAD: outdoor lighting which leaks into room all night. IF you get room number below 44 they have both blinds and curtains to block all light to sleep in dark peace. But IF your room is 45 or above prepare to have a well LIT room all night from the outside security porch lights. Is it as bad as being in New Jersey with a flashing neon light all night? I thought so. I had to stand on a chair and custom rig blankets over 3 windows. Ugh. Or you could wear night mask. Or they can add the usual heavy curtains to block all light like most hotels do - even them -if you are lucky to catch a larger room with a lower room number. Once they make this change, this will be a 5 star place.

If you prefer natural surroundings to cityscapes, this is the place for you. Its ten minutes from Pearl Street via car, but you feel miles away. There is a bike/walking path into town and also a hiking trail behind resort. The sauna and Jacuzzi were great! I love having a kitchen to avoid the time and expense of eating out. The beers on tap were an extra bonus, as well as the firepit outside and fireplace inside the lodge. Friendly people complete the picture. The rooms are not plush and bathrooms somewhat dated, but clean. We had a plumbing issue which was fixed promptly. I recommend this as great value for the money.

Google
This was a great hidden gem! We stayed here for one night prior to going up in the mountains and will definitely be back! They have a hot tub and sauna for you to warm up and a peaceful stream/ creek to sit next to for your morning coffee.

Google
I stayed in the Hostel and it was good - clean and well-equipped. The check-in was easy and friendly and it's in a nice location outside of Boulder. The help is friendly, the lobby is cozy and there are outdoor firepits which had a roaring fire when I arrived.

Yelp
Had a 420 corner a few years ago that was off the charts! We still going, thanks to A-lodge of course. go check it out!!

Yelp
The dirt entry road should have been my first clue... If you are a true outdoor adventurous, and you do not mind hostile style sleeping or dirt roads or just completely laid-back housing on your vacation. This is the place for you. For me, I should have read the small print! $$ First of all... The young lady at the front desk had to deal with me after I had not slept for 36 hours, I have to give her a very high rating for fixing my reservation and allowing me to sleep in one of the cabin room for one night instead of on a hostel cot in a unit with five other people. I did go out and make a reservation at a different establishment for the other two nights that I was going to stay in Boulder. Second of all, I just needed to sleep... So this was a perfect place to lay my head until the morning. The three stars is definitely for the staff as they were very kind and very accommodating. I don't know how to rate the room itself. The railing that led to my room was rickety so I did not use it to climb the stairs that were also questionable. The room itself and the bed and linen were clean, but the floor of the tub was so brown that I could not take a shower in it. The TV did not work, and there was no air-conditioning. They did supply a box fan, which I set up in front of the TV (that was not functional) and slept with the fan blowing on me all night. Yes, I was in Colorado, but during the summer it's as warm as Georgia! For those of you who hate your phone, this is the perfect place for you as there is NO... And I mean zero... Cell service. The bright side is, is that they do provide Wi-Fi So there you have it! Enjoy life, make lots of memories, and safe travels

Yelp
What an amazing place to stay in Boulder. You're surrounded by nature, no noisy city noises, enjoying our coffee every morning in the fresh air was a calm and appreciated experience. The staff was super friendly, supplied great suggestions of things to do in Boulder, were accommodating & welcoming. If I find myself in Boulder again, there's no way I'd stay anywhere else.

Anna N.

Yelp
We stayed one night here and it was horrible. The smell was so bad (almost like the room was covered in animal pee) we had to sleep in the car. Not to mention there is no service there which made us feel very nervous about not being able to get in touch with people. I slept 1 hour. We will not be coming back.

Phil S.

Yelp
What a real gem near Boulder, Colorado. We were fortunate to stay here for two nights and just had a blast and great home base for all the activities that surround this place. The staff were super friendly and there was a beautiful lodge just to chill at with Wi-Fi. Also there is a gentle creek that runs through the center. We happen to have one of the van life/car spaces which worked perfect for us. There was a platform and electrical outlet if you needed electricity. Also the bathrooms were clean and very accessible. This is a great place and will come again in the future!

Yelp
Stayed at the A-Lodge in Boulder for a wedding. The location is outside of the city. The cabins are tucked at the bottom of a hill and over a small stream. There is a nice deck and plenty of area to relax outside and enjoy nature. The lodges have nice amenities including a stove, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and tv. You need to know that you will not get any cell service here. There is WiFi for WiFi calling. The WiFi is not very fast and I had difficulties. UberEats will deliver to the location. The room was clean. Keep in mind that this is a Lodge. You are not staying at a Hilton. There is a skylight that allows enough light to light up the room. However this skylight will wake you up early. The staff said the rooms had air condition but they kept them turned off. The weather was hot one day but the room stayed comfortable with the help of a fan in the room abs leaving the window open. The service was good and people were nice. You are close to downtown Boulder, mountains, fishing, hiking, restaurants and entertainment. I wold consider staying again.

Yelp
We were looking for a reasonable place to stay in Boulder, and this place fit the bill! It didn't quite seem like it was from the ads, but it was super cute. Each room was in a motel stretch, and they were very comfortable. The bed was nice, the bathroom was sufficient, and there was a mini fridge and coffee station too. In addition, they also had a complimentary breakfast of coffee, tea, juice, yoghurt, waffles, etc. It was winter when we stayed, and it was just for a bit, but this seems like a fun place to stay with the family in the summer. There is a pool, a hot tub, and a good sized outdoors areas with corn hole and other games. Stay here when you're in Boulder for a good time!

Yelp
Found this gem as I was trying to find lodging in Boulder. I was traveling solo and there weren't a lot of hostel options in Boulder - thank goodness for the A-Lodge! That said, this review is based solely on a stay in the hostel section - not the regular rooms. Since it's only a 12 bed hostel, I'd recommend booking early, especially during peak season. Location A-Lodge is located up in the mountains of Boulder. It's a great location - it feels secluded, yet you're only about a 7 to 10 minute drive into town. Being that you're in the semi-boonies, your cell reception might not work, though they do have wi-fi. A-Lodge is best accessed if you have your own car. Uber/Lyft could work, though it's touch and go due to the poor cellular reception. I opted to take public transportation - there's a bus stop that's only a few minutes walk away. Definitely check the schedule as it doesn't come super often - there were times of the day where the bus only came 1x/hour. Room The hostel is located in one building and is made up of 3 "rooms" (some rooms didn't have a door). Each room has 4 beds and there's a main common area by the front doors that has a couch, table, chairs, and small kitchen area. Lockers are available and there are 2 shared bathrooms between the 3 rooms. Beds are bunk beds. The rooms have a lodge vibe (so not super up to date), but feels nice and cozy. Since I visited during low season (winter), there were very few guests - was nice to only share the space with a few people. Amenities The office building does have a cool hangout area. The downstairs has some couches and a fireplace. They also sell small bites, beer, and wine - while the menu isn't extensive, it's nice to have the option of getting food when you're in the semi-boonies. Free breakfast is also available - it's fairly basic, but you can get your fill of waffles, yogurt, juices, coffee, cereal, and oatmeal. The upstairs has a lounge area with a few spots to sit, an entrance to a small outside patio, and a rec room. This is where they had some live music one night. The outside also has a few chairs/gravity chairs to lounge around in - wished I was here during warmer weather to be able to sit outside and relax. Service Customer service was great - no complaints. Overall, A-Lodge is a great place to stay - you can disconnect, yet also be close to town. Excellent value for a hostel stay - would highly recommend.

Yelp
I want to give this place more stars because it is so cool. But there are things about it that are a struggle - the first of which is the entrance - which has a great sign but when you are arriving in the dark - it is difficult to see the road you are supposed to take and it's a little drop - not a real safe highlight to getting into the lodge area. Check in was great and the room was cute. We had a room which was identified as one with a kitchenette - I kind of think that is stretching it, but it worked for us. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The bed was mostly comfortable but we noticed that the mattress shifted - luckily I was with a cuddler, so we stuck to the middle. The bathroom has no heat - which is a struggle in the winter - made me wonder if that is why the bathroom sink had to be plunged a couple of times. The hot tub was a huge mess - we never got to use it - the first night we went to use it - half of the lid was in the water and the water was so very dirty - the next night we were told it was ready to go but when we went to use it, it was locked up. The people who work there are very nice and it is a beautiful place to be. While we had struggles, I would go back, just maybe when it's a little warmer.

Yelp
Wanted to charge me more for having local ID, after I already made a reservation. Refused to honor my booking.com reservation for the hostel (that was not full) and tried to shake me down for a different room at *TRIPLE* the price bc I had a local ID, an asinine policy that was stated nowhere in our communication nor the actual booking site prior to my reservation. I don't even live here anymore. Told me they didn't have to prove that this was disclosed to me, but now I either had to pay more or eat the cancellation cost. Told me that I had to be the one to cancel and since it was day of that I was subject to non refundable deposit policy. When I asked them to cancel if they wouldn't honor my reservation they said no. I asked for something in writing to submit to booking.com (discount site for hotels with unsold rooms) to explain this situation and they refused. I have been referring people to this spot for years, why they would treat anyone this way is beyond me. I went to Foot of the Mountain and not only did they warmly accommodate me, they decided to hook me up.

Yelp
We loved everything about this little hidden gem. Tucked away in the mountains, it's the perfect place for folks who don't want to be right in the middle of town. It's nothing fancy but, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the ambiance was just what we were looking for after a long day on the trail. We will definitely stay here when visiting this area!

Dafi D.

Yelp
I am such a fan of this super dog- welcoming lodge! The receptionist Dylan was just awesome and so was his fun doggy The rooms were great and bright, parking right out front and lots of outdoor area for me to go potty. In general a very peaceful vibe. Tomorrow we will do one of the hikes that are just walking distance from this cool place.

Imogene V.

Yelp
We usually stay at Hilton's. Adventure park is not that. It is an old building, but very very very comfortable and clean! Bed had a firm foam- type mattress - very nice. Shower is small and old, but clean, and water was hot and lots of it. Heater was a little noisy, but kept our room warm. We loved the price, and were so pleased with the location. Only 3 miles to Pearl St. Mall in Boulder, and west side, so near the beautiful mounyains and river.Highly recommend!

Christine K.

Yelp
It's a nice little cozy hotel lodge three miles outside Boulder. The young guy working at the desk had an arrogant attitude. The small Mr. Coffee in every room was a nice touch, however the filters didn't fit and made a huge mess. He said they didn't know where to find them! How about King Soopers dude? I buy them there as I have the same coffee maker! He looked bothered by me just bringing this up! So sad :(

Yelp
TENT SITE REVIEW I'm writing this review for a recent tent site stay for two nights. Please note that this was during the COVID-19 crisis and some of the amenities were closed because of it. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Front desk guys were very friendly. There are 4 tent platforms/decks on the hill behind the lodge. The platforms have a rail and plenty of eye hooks to secure your tent, I used bungee cords and didn't even need to break out any tent stakes or tie down ropes. It took a little bit of walking up some stairs and a trail to get to the tent campsite. Due to the stairs, there was no way to use a cart or rolling cooler to tote your gear, so expect to make a few trips. I had a two person tent and there was plenty of room for chairs and such on the platform. Plan ahead for meals as there was no option for cooking at the campsite, no fire rings, etc. There were two fire pits on the property, one was gas near the office (no cooking, just a fire pit), the second was by the creek with plentiful firewood next to it. There was a grate over part of it that you could probably cook on but it looked more suited for wieners and marshmallows on a stick. I saw a gas grill but wasn't sure if it was available for guest use. The property was very nice and I enjoyed hanging out down by the creek, it was great and relaxing. They also seem to rent adventure camper vans and also had two camper van/car camping sites. I'm not sure on the situation with utilities on the two sites, but I did see a long electric cord that looked like it attached shore power to one of the vans? The stay included use of a bathroom and shower. There are two outdoor entry bathrooms, one has a shower. I did not see any guest towels available so you may want to pack your own. Easy parking, no issues. I saw some guests with wine & beer which I believe they may have gotten in the office but I was social distancing due to the crisis and only went into the office once during check in. I understand that they used to offer some kind of continental breakfast pre-Covid, but it was not available during my stay (completely understandable). They are located a few miles up Boulder Canyon, I believe it was the first right hand turn with it's own turn lane once you start into the twisties in the canyon. You can't miss the property on the left, look for the A-LODGE sign overhead. I did receive the following info -AFTER- I paid for my booking on their website regarding COVID-19: "****A-Lodge COVID-19 Policies**** Dear Adventurers, We are implementing CORONAVIRUS POLICIES at the Boulder Adventure Lodge to ensure the health / safety of our guests and staff; these new policies are in line with the majority of the hotel industry and are subject to change as the current global situation changes. We have new LOBBY / OFFICE HOURS FROM 8AM-8PM. To prevent contamination, we ask guests to avoid the lobby unless checking in/out or seeking urgent help from Desk Staff; FACIAL COVERINGS OVER THE MOUTH AND NOSE ARE REQUIRED for all staff and guests when in the lobby. As always, we can be reached at the front desk by hitting "0" on the phone in your room. Our current OFFICE CAPACITY IS 1 GROUP AT A TIME. To protect lodge staff, multiple-night stays WILL NOT RECEIVE DAILY HOUSEKEEPING. While we can guarantee a total lack of Covid-19 in rooms we sanitize after guests check out, we cannot guarantee safe working conditions for our staff in occupied rooms. We have PAUSED THE COMPLIMENTARY GRAB N' GO BREAKFAST until we are able to provide food with zero risk of cross-contamination. Likewise, coffee + coffee-makers will not be available in the lobby but will be stocked in every room. The A-Lodge HOT TUB AND POOL WILL REMAIN CLOSED until further notice. Feel free to ask us any questions about our updated sanitation protocols and methods of guest and staff protection. We are doing everything we can to implement preventative measures and are more than happy to answer any questions / concerns you may have about your stay with us. WE THANK ALL THE A-LODGE FAMILY for their patience and support during these trying times. We are incredibly excited to host our amazing guests again and to get back to a sense of normalcy. Thank you so very much, we look forward to plenty of amazing adventures with you!! -Kris, Asa, and the A-Lodge Crew (and dogs)"

Yelp
This place is very nice. We will go back soon. It has everything you need for a nice vacation, now, if you like 5 star hotels, this is not for you, it is more uncomplicated style. It has a small kitchen although it would be nice if they had a microwave. The bathroom is not bad, but if it would be good if they were to clean it while one is staying there, it does not seem that they care much. The only bad thing is that I think the heating was not very powerful and it was too cold for the season all over the place, however, the bed and the blankets were great and super comfortable. It is far from downtown. There is no breakfast, but they give you coffee and sometimes fruit. It is super quiet and the view is incredible

Jo C.

Yelp
Loved loved loved this place! Wish we could have spent more time there. Modest accommodations, clean, super friendly staff, nice location - feels like you are in the middle of the mountains. Lots of dogs visiting- as well as friendly owners. Nice breakfast basic- but offering make your own waffles. Had a nice hot tub last night that helped my aching ski muscles!

Stephen H.

Yelp
Such a cool location. It's got the cool Boulder vibe nestled right against the foothills of the Flatirons. They've even got live music every Thursday night. Good pricing and the rare American hostel location! Warning - there is no cell service here but excellent wifi throughout the property and the hostel rooms are luxurious by worldwide standards - kitchenette in each room suite, with ensuite bathrooms.

Emily s.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. Has a great old-time 60s lodge feel but has been well kept up and super clean and comfy. Having a small kitchen was really helpful. You can do an easy 3 mile walk into Boulder along a beautiful paved creekside path or just stay and hang out at the lodge. The grounds are really pretty and relaxing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the all-day happy hour and had fun hangout out by the fire at night. The rates are very reasonable and they offer different fun daily activities for a fee like rock climbing or mountain biking with guides. Breakfast was basic- but included in the price. They have a bunch of different types of rooms -so there is something for everyone. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will certainly be back!!

James M.

Yelp
I could not see myself staying at any other place while in Boulder. It is close to Boulder Falls, close enough to down town, but remote for a more "campy" feel (you're still in a hotel). The staff is incredibly friendly and even called me at 9:00pm to make sure I was going to get there/didn't need any help. The atmosphere was perfect. I struggled with my key though... I'm going to chalk it up to the altitude haha

Lis M.

Yelp
Eclectic Funky Staff SUPER nice Beautiful setting Bathroom in serious need of updating - door wouldn't even fully close Toilet was old and bottom stained "Kitchenette" decent but have to ask for any utensils Free yogurt, cereal, coffee, oatmeal nice Pool was perfect temp Wifi was fine but I could not use iPhone for calls (att) only apple texts - weird Bed decent - mattress firm, sheets nice Best part was the firepit at night Kind of felt like national lampoon vaca Lots of potential Would stay again

Isabelle E.

Yelp
When can we come back?? My partner and I stayed two nights in the campsites and we had a blast! The raised platform was nice for air flow and kept our tent nice and clean. The Wi-Fi reached up the hill to the tents, so it really was glamping. The staff were incredibly friendly and had great recommendations for food (Boulder is only a 10 min drive down the canyon) and outdoor areas to checkout! We went climbing all three days and were amazed at the access and short drive from the lodge! We came back from long days of climbing and used the covered grill and picnic tables to make some pretty tasty dinners! The string lights, stars, outdoor fireplace, creek, and dogs all made for a very pleasant stay and I would recomend to anyone staying in the Boulder area.

Kat K.

Yelp
This place was perfect! We decided to do Van Camping in a camp we had rented from Escape Campervans (also a great company!) We had a great experience here, we arrived around 10pm and were welcomed in lobby by some amazing people hanging out, a warm fire and a beautiful dog :) We got our van all set up and then headed to the lobby for warm fire and a couple drinks and some board games! We slept great in our van and in the morning we were able to take hot showers and get ready for the day! The amenities at this place I cant say enough about. The bathrooms and showers are clean and very warm in the winter! The following morning we had a great cup of coffee and met some really friendly people by the fire! We will for sure be back! Thank you for providing an amazing place and experience!

Yelp
We stayed at the A-Lodge the first weekend in March 2018. The staff is quite friendly, the room was very basic but clean. I would ordinarily score a motel such as this at 4 stars. This is why my score is lower: the staff had left dog feces lying around in many places on the property. Sure, the dog-owner guests should be picking up after their pets, but if they fail to do so, the motel staff shouldn't just leave the numerous piles of poop for anyone to step in. Even at the office entrance, there were dozens of piles of feces on the ground. Definately not the best first impression for guests!

Pauline L.

Yelp
I checked in after midnight and was so surprised to see people gathered around the campfire pit enjoying some beverages. As much as I wanted to join them it was past 2am EST and a travel day. The check in desk is manned 24 hours and I was greeted warmly and excited to have a real key for our room.there is something warmabout a key and not a plastic throw away card! Our wasrm was clean, quaint, spacious, and comfortable. I Couldn't wait to walk to the lobby in the morning for breakfast. The walk to the lobby was beautiful in the mountain air along the creek. The rustic, yet charming lobby had a great breakfast spread. A short drive to the flatirons, pearl street, or cu boulder makes for a charming stay over hotel chains. I highly recommend !

Andi H.

Yelp
I think this is a cool spot but I want to let you know that the road construction is awful right now. Please make sure it's finished before you book. Wish I had known Beforehand.

Debra M.

Yelp
Awesome stay, June 2019 would love to return when next in CO. Friendly people relaxed atmosphere, we aren't hikers but enjoyed the location for its beauty.

Yelp
The A Lodge is one of my favorite businesses. I became familiar with them when they donated a night's stay for an auction to raise money for school gardens through a nonprofit called Garden to Table. I didn't win the night's stay but I made a mental note to go some day! I made a reservation that ended up being for spring 2020 when COVID stay at home orders drew me to reschedule. They were so incredibly understanding and made the date-change without fuss. When we did go a few months later, we noticed their COVID safety protocol was well thought-through. We liked knowing the air was not shared between rooms (separate HVAC systems for each room.) We were grateful for the A-Lodge's EV charging station, friendly staff, wide variety of beer, and hot water. We'll definitely return to the Jacuzzi Suite some day! Thanks for being generous community-members and overall good humans, A Lodge.

Christine F.

Yelp
Meh. Nice check in and office area but at least room 39 needs improvements. Bugs and mold in the bathroom. Microwave and lamp did not work. Several outdoor communal areas where dog owners did not pick up after them. Including right by the steps to the room. Which is confusing when there are doggie bags hanging everywhere to use. Disappointing and disgusting. Walls are less than paper thin so look forward to spending the evening way too intimately with your neighbors. Too bad, the place has some potential.

Shirley Y.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to stay and the hotels are either too expensive or all booked. Luckily, we found this Lodge and seriously, LOVE it! Got there a little bit earlier than check in time and the staff at the office was super nice and kind! He let us check in and also switch us to the room with microwave (the one we originally reserved comes with stove) which is awesome, coz I think I wont cook by myself during my vacation, lol! He is also very patient answer all our questions, told us where to hike and where to eat! Big plus for the service! The room is cozy, clean, and home like! There is only a fan and a heater in the room (yes, no AC). However, I don't think it's a problem to us even though we were here in the middle of May, we still need the quilt and blanket they provided because it gets pretty cold during the night. All the rooms are right next to a small river, in the mountains! Fresh air and the sound of the river flow! Omg, how I love staying here! Too bad we only booked one night due to our schedule. But we will be back! And when that time comes, we are going to stay here more!

Yelp
So...it's a good place, but as others have said, it isn't quite at the level of quality that you would expect from the price. Lots of space, located near a bike trail that will take you to downtown Boulder. Love the hammocks and space for gathering outdoors. Downsides: they only provide one key per room. It's really pretty damn inconvenient for people traveling with others, and I don't know why they can't just run to the hardware store and pay a dollar or two for extra keys. Mattresses are low-quality, and if you're traveling with a partner, you'll have to squeeze into a queen-size. *I did not sleep well here.* Pros: there is a fridge, microwave, and sink in the rooms. Ice is available (although it's a bit of a walk). You can rent bikes from the lodge, although make sure to check them since the bike I got needed a tuneup (neither brakes, tires, nor lock worked well).

Yelp
Exceptional customer service, cozy cute rooms, hiking trail behind the lodge. My husband and I stayed one night for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. They have snacks and tea in the office. Other than that your going to have to order in food or go into boulder. Seeing wildlife on the property was cool. Thanks Bruce and Asa for making us feel welcomed

Yelp
Awesome place. Stayed here with my GF last week and had a great experience. Very unique feel of still being out far enough to almost feel like your camping. However very nicely decorated and clean to give you a pampered feeling. The hotel itself is within a beautiful canyon carved out by a creek which runs parallel to the hotel. This makes for a very calming environment. The staff is friendly and they give it almost a hostel feel with the common areas and bar with a happy hour. Highly recommend staying when visiting Boulder. I doubt we ever stay anywhere again for our stays.

Yelp
Booked the cabin 7 months ago through Airbnb. When I inquired about additional rooms or another rental nearby I learned they had double booked. I got a half hearted apology and a credit toward another stay, that I don't want (my son is graduating so when would i use it?). What made the whole thing a nightmare is its CU grad weekend. So I got stuck booking further away and a more expensive place. Almost got stranded on arrival with three grandparents and nowhere to go. Look out for those software "synch" issues especially on prime stay weekends.

Yelp
We tracked this place down after hearing it was a post-climbing spot to get a drink before heading out of the canyon. It's not a bar, but there are drinks, the bloody mary's are really good and made with local spirits. The decorations are a playful nod to the lodge's location with books on climbing, ice axes and a set of nuts on the bookshelf. We hung out by the fire pit outside and agreed that this would be a new regular stop for us before leaving Boulder Canyon.

Yelp
We loved the location. We are outdoor people. It has a camping feel. Clean.. I would stay there again. Needs small improvements but the place is charming and has a great old school feel.

Yelp
Went with a girlfriend during a SUPER COLD WEEKEND in February and this place was a home run. It's cute, it's neat looking, and if you're looking for a "Colorado-esque" place to say...this is exactly what you need. Close to Boulder, close to everything. Room was warm, comfortable, cozy. The hot water took a bittttttttttttt long to heat up, but once it did, it was hot the whole trip. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to stay here if it were warm too! Plenty of picture moments..

Yelp
What a nice place and that is no accident. Located within Boulder Canyon but still close to town. The place has an outdoor adventure theme with out being forced or stupid. A lot like a NP venue with out the worn out remote shabbiness. Yes it's an old motel wedged along a creek. Small pool and hot tub probably not necessary as most of the kids were in the stream. Guests gathering outside their rooms chatting. Relaxing 'beer garden.' Rooms have been updated. No fuss no muss.

Yelp
What a great place! Super chill and friendly. Pretty quite & local with an out of the way running creek peaceful zen feeling. Minutes from downtown Boulder. My room was clean, tidy and just unexpectedly great. The super friendly staff bent over backwards to help out and like everyone else there, they had great stories of their own. Breakfast was light but appreciated. Thanks again.

Yelp
I would like to write a good review but, I have been forced to write a bad one. I will try to be quite honest. I stayed from Sunday to Wednesday. The pictures above don't represent my room. On waking to go out into Boulder to explore I went to the front desk to ask someone to exchange all used articles and plunge the toilet that stopped up. The man at the front desk said he he definitely do so. However, when I came back that night the only thing done was the plunged toilet. In the morning I was awoken early to the sound of construction in the room next door!! No one called to see if I wanted to move. No one came to my door to tell me. There were rooms available as well. Tuesday I reported to the front desk what happened. That day I left again when I came back the bed was made like a five year old had done it! No change of towels or soaps nothing. The scenery was really nice! When you speak to the front desk people were nice but, afterwards I feel like they were mocking me. On the first day of exploring Boulder with family I saw a really cute picture to hang up on the wall in the hotel that I had bought thinking this place needs some love however, after everything I decided to not leave it! Very disappointed traveler!!!!!

Yelp
Need to get away from it all, get 'back to nature' and still have access to great food, events, shopping and whatever else? You can't beat Adventure Lodge's location - 10 minutes deep into the seclusion of Boulder Creek Canyon from also very scenic Boulder. Special thanks to the whole staff at the lodge. Their relaxed, intelligent professional attitude made things not only possible, but enjoyable. Cheers!

Yelp
This was a nightmare stay that only lasted 2 hrs! The rooms are outdated and dirty, completely misrepresented by the owners! The bathroom was dirty with dead bugs around the sink, towels were stained heavily, there was the previous residents old moldy food and drinks in fridge. There is absolutely no AC! Was told to open a window!, my nephew was so overheated that he was crying nonstop, their solution was to bring us small fans that were dirty- I mean literally caked with dust! At this point I went over to talk with one of the two owners- not sure of his name (Asian decent) who was rude and argumentative, kept telling me that they were not misrepresenting, but I had misinterpreted their website pictures - I informed him my only expectation was a clean rustic stay, with pictures that match the room I booked. Was told that wasn't my rooms bathroom, I told them that it wasn't so much as the outdated pictures but the fact that it wasn't even clean! He continued to argue with me until Chris (other owner) came and intervened. The only reason I am giving them one star is that Chris was the polar opposite of his partner and listened to my concern and stated he appreciated the feedback. The last straw was when my brother found a human tooth on the floor in his room where his 14 month old son was walking around! At that point there was no question of issuing a full refund! Also- there was a up charge to rooms- I was charged 149.00 a night, when booking another hotel saw that the charges for boulder adventure lodge was 49.00 a night! Seriously people! They stated that they are trying to fix up the hotel a " little" at a time, but at what cost to the patrons?!

Yelp
This place is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful and well kept with a creek running through the entire property and twinkle lights over the common space making the atmosphere magical. Whether camping or staying in a room in the lodge you have access to amenities like the hot tub in a gazebo (which is still open during Covid but is only available to one party at a time and sanitized between uses, making it feel extra private and cozy). Lastly the staff is the cherry on top of an already great place. They are so friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home in a way that makes it feel like this is your personal mountain getaway only minutes from Boulder. Jackson was particularly kind and helpful and gave me the insider scoop on where to hike and he was absolutely right. If you need any more encouragement to stay here I'll just add that I was only planning to stay one night and ended up staying three... book away ;)

Yelp
We stayed here for one night and had a nice time. I booked without doing a lot of research because a family member was staying, and feel like it would have been nicer for a longer stay. The grounds have many nice features, the staff was very friendly, and we lucked into their live music night. They even have several local beers on tap at the small bar. They also offer a healthy breakfast as a part of your stay. The negative was that I feel like we paid a lot for the type of accommodation we had based on the other pricing and reviews I've seen, especially for the type of room we had. The room would be fair for a certain price point. Maybe we paid more because they had a trail running event that weekend? They do have a pool and hot tub, but it's very small and not that different than what you'd find at a roadside motel. The rooms were adequate, but kind of musty and not as nice as I had expected for the rate. If you expect a glam camping or hostel experience, then this is your place. If you want a rustic room with a cool atmosphere, this is it. If you are outdoorsy, young and looking for fun, I can't imagine a better place to stay. I think I just expected a little more luxury, or to pay half as much as we did.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay at the hostel section of the Boulder A Lodge. It's conveniently located by the bus stop heading up and down the canyon into Boulder (it's walkable to downtown - half hour of a lovely canyon). The place is maintained, kept clean, the hostel (mixed male and female) has a full kitchen, nice bathroom and shower, and a lot of features as part of the lodge: nice hot tub, fire pit, grilling area, trails right there, a friendly and knowledgable staff (outdoors peeps) almost each of which have their own dog there which makes it a family type atmosphere. The WiFi everywhere is a great feature, the communal new lodge area to lounge about with WiFi is also pleasant and cozy. The breakfast is good and the feature of a washer & dryer is a nice bonus. I enjoyed my stay there very much and recommend it. It's not right in town, which makes it even nicer.

Yelp
Though as mentioned in other reviews that the rooms are worn and in need of touch-ups (e.g. new carpeting), the Lodge is clean, comfortable, cozy, friendly, only a 10-minute drive from the Boulder Mall, and perched among beautiful scenery. It's nice to be able to go for a run from your room onto the Boulder Creek Trail. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Very cute place to stay. Very rustic. Close to Boulder, yet far enough away that you feel like you're in the mountains. Great if you're skiing or hiking. Staff is super friendly!!

Yelp
Checked in for one night initially and ended up extending it a day or two at a time for a whole week. The staff was wonderfully helpful and all very pleasant, and the rooms themselves were cozy and ours had an awesome tub w jets . It's right on a creek (Boulder Creek I believe) and had hammock and sitting spots where you could watch the hummingbirds fly by. Had a few hiking trails behind the rooms as well. We loved it here and can't wait to come back next time we're in the area!

Yelp
The room smells. No a/c. What was once chabby chic is now just cheap. Sheets are used as curtains, the cheapest possible light fixtures and bed linens. Does not live up to its pre flood standards. The ancient refrigerator in the room has so much frost (no door on freezer section) the refrigerator does not work. Disappointing, but location is still awesome. Not worth the price
