Clearly a very popular restaurant and for good reason. We were a group of 4 and shared the platter for 2 and had a giant tiger prawn each. The food was well presented, tasted amazing and was well worth what we paid.

Unfortunately the experience was not as good as I was expecting. I went there since the restaurant was recommended by a Portuguese work colleague. When I walked in for lunch (12:30pm) the waiters didn't even noticed me, it took a while to be seated. After a few minutes on the table, one young waiter approached and just threw the menus on the table, not even saying anything. Luckily, another waiter took over and despite the difficulties with the English language I managed to order something. The dishes I was looking for, they didn't have. So I opted for another different ones. Definitely the seafood was fresh but can't justify that high end restaurant prices. 3 dishes, house bread and water, almost 77 euros (tip not included). The carabineros were nice but one of them was way to big for grilling, so the taste wasn't that good. The garlic shrimp casserole very nice in size, but despite of the amount of garlic, it's was t Google Lens best in my opinion was the "caldinho de camarão" (seafood soup) was quite tasty.

Outstanding seafood! We normally visited another “popular” seafood restaurant nearby but we thought it became too touristy so we decided to try A Marisqueira do Lis. Wow! The seafood was fantastic especially the king prawn! We love the clams. And the bread! We can’t stop eating it. Service is also great, the server was friendly and not pushy at all. Will definitely visit again.

We had a phenomenal meal here. Big thanks to friendly staff who helped me picked out a live lobster. Also taught me the proper way to eat Percebes (goose barnacles) which were fresh and delicious. Toasted bread and pork loin appetizers went perfectly with beer and wine. Ordered lobster to be grilled, yummy! Husband enjoyed his grilled grouper as well. This seemed to be a local favorite, the atmosphere was lively. I had communication difficulties from speaking only english. Luckily there's Google Translate. :) We loved our dinner. Highly recommend.

Google
Absolutely loved the food here and the service was top notch. Has the seafood platter for 2 with crab and it was a seafood lovers delight. I had never really had allot of cold seafood and this platter was a great way to try it out. It offers great dipping sauces that are warm and the seafood had that decisions salty goodness your looking for. It was also very quick, the servers were nice, and they also helped us out with how to eat the foods we had never tried before. 10/10 would come back and it is worth it. The crab head wasn't our favorite though but would definetly say try it at least once.

Everything we ordered was delicious. I loved the octopus salad. Garlic prawns a bit salty for my taste. Good value for money and many locals there

Google
Some of the best tiger prawns I’ve had. The shrimps frites was also lovely. However, service is poor. They charge you for the ‘complimentary’ bread. You also feel a bit rushed while dining. That being said, the quality and taste of the food is still excellent. Would be 5 stars if service could be improved.

Yelp
We came here because Cervejaria Ramiro was closed and more expensive. I heard on tiktok this was a cheaper option with the same food. This was definitely a locals spot. Our waiter couldn't speak English and we couldn't speak Portuguese but it wasn't an issue. We showed him pictures on our phone and pointed to stuff. We got the Tiger Prawns grilled , Goose Barnacles and Seafood Platter for two which had Shrimp, Small Shrimp, Snail, Goose Barnacles, Mussels , Oysters, Two Crabs, Garlic Shrimp, & Clam in Garlic . We had Ginja a cherry portuguese liqueur. Everything was delicious. The prawns were amazing. Goose Barnacles wasn't bad at all. Definitely would recommend

Yelp
Delicious, if pricey, seafood including the goose barnacles. However staff expected a tip which is not the custom in Portugal. We left a few Euros at the table and departed the restaurant disappointed that we were taken advantage of because we were Americans. Don't fall for this scam.

Yelp
The Uber driver recommended this place and he was spot on. Definitely more of a local spot. The bar, which is stand up only, no seats, was filled with regulars drinking iced cold Super Bock. There are some of the biggest crabs snd lobsters swimming in a tank. Everything was fresh. Ordered platters of mussels, clams and garlic shrimp. One dish was better than the other. Fresh hot buttered bread came to the table first and it was perfect for dipping in the sauces. Service was good and attentive. They don't take reservations, but if you get there between 7:30-8 you should be fine. We left at 8:30 and the line was down the street to get inside.

Yelp
Excellent local place! We loved it, falling for the bread scheme and all. They bring out some gorgeous grilled buttery bread with a pot of what appears to be ricotta cheese, and then they tell you to dump it onto a plate, season it, and spread it on the bread. Of course you find out later that it wasn't free but WHO CARES? It was delicious, relax and enjoy! We had the Amejios a Balhao, clams in butter sauce, and it was simple and divine. BF had the bread soup which he liked very much and even though it looks like porridge, don't diss. It was stuffed with shrimps. We had sangria which was meh, I much prefer vinho verde, and our waiter spoke enough English that it was a very pleasant experience. Very much recommend!

Yelp
Very fresh seafood in a casual, local environment. The waiter was so patient with us as we struggled to order and offered really good suggestions. The shrimp with garlic and bread were a standout.

Yelp
They are sneaky here- don't fall for the bread, cheese and salad scheme. They deliver it without telling you it's not part of the meal.

Yelp
Real local Portuguese fare! Fresh seafood, multiple selections, large portions, reasonable prices. Everything we had, from the beer, tiger shrimp, clams, oysters & dessert. Excellent service, helpful waiters explained the selections as we only speak English. Great atmosphere!

Yelp
A popular place for seafood! We came here for lunch. The one thing that caught my eye was the huge lobsters in the tanks. The restaurant is big inside and very popular for dinner. If you want to avoid the crowd come during lunch time and you practically have the whole place to yourself. They give you a bread basket to start off and I ordered the garlic shrimp. They have other fish in the cases they prepare for ordering so it tastes fresh. The shrimp was delicious and filling.

Yelp
So, you're in Lisbon, and you're a foodie. Chances are, you're going to try to go to Ramiro. Chances are, you're hungry, and changes are, there's a long wait. Just walk right down the street, and you won't be disappointed (unless you really really really need to go to Ramiro just for the Bourdain experience, which if you ask me, is missing his point). A local friend of mine brought me here for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. Service, as is the case across Lisbon, was terrible - friendly but terrible. We had to keep flagging down the server for refills of beer and to order more items, but that's expected here, so no marks off for that. We ate shrimp and garlic, breads with wonderfully flavorful melted butter, clams and octopus salad. All amazing. Wash it all down with a beer, and you have yourself the perfect meal.

Yelp
Make sure to stop by if you are a die hard seafood lover. We came for lunch however they were still closed but we were allowed to sit and stay. Seeing how hungry we were, we were able to order a couple of dishes like shrimps, lobster, beer and salad. Great service. Not everyone speaks English but we are able to get by.

Yelp
Yelp scores once again - If I hadn't checked here we'd have been queuing at Ramiro's after looking at the reviews on the 'other' site, instead of being shown instantly to a table here and very quickly being served a gigantic lobster seafood platter. It's not going to win many points for atmosphere, but if you don't mind sitting in what appears to be a bar, complete with regulars watching football on the telly, then get yourself along here as the food is fantastic. The service was really quick and very friendly despite our lack of Portuguese, and the seafood platter was an eye-opener to both of us as it contained a few 'unknown' items. Chief amongst these were barnacles, looking like bunches of miniature 'Alien' eggs. Neither of us had encountered these before, and had no idea how to approach them, but the waiter quickly spotted our confusion and rushed over to demonstrate (a quick twist and gentle pull was the technique). Not the most filling item on the plate, but quite tasty nonetheless. The other unknown was a spiky spirally-shelled thing that had to be winkled out of the shell with a hooked implement. I've no idea what it was, but it took quite a bit of effort for little return, being pretty tasteless and a bit rubbery. Everything else was top notch apart from the mussels, which we both thought were rather poor compared to Scottish ones. They were OK, just a bit small and there was a weird stringy bit attached that had to be removed. Maybe it wasn't the best season for them. But excellent value for a good quantity of seafood. I like the way they provided a pile of napkins so that you could clean your fingers as you went, and the pile of plates for debris that our ever-attentive waiter removed as they became full.

Yelp
We came over to this place after noticing the crazy long line at Ramiro. It's set up like a bar we're there was a crowd of people watching Futbol and then tables for you to dine in. Daniel, our server, was extremely nice and attentive. Explaining everything we asked him. My only issue with this place was there was a server that kept coughing over the food and drinks. Oh and the Seafood Salad was extremely bland!!! The Octopus Salad was really fresh and tasty, but they should add some spice or chili's in the salad. Spanish Mussels was very good and just the right serving! Shrimp Frittes sooooo good that we ordered a second serving!!! Sangria cups for 1,50 Euro!!! But the bottles of wine were fairly priced. Definitely stop here!!

Yelp
Had a great Anniversary dinner here. Service was great very attentive and great recommendations. Really Fresh seafood as in has a face and all so if your use to seeing seafood in a styrofoam just tail or claw no heads then you might not like this place. They have seafood that you can order by dish but also by weight so be careful it can get pricey. The Sangria and beer reasonably priced. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty it's much easier to eat seafood that way. The stone crab dip dish is yum!!! and everything with garlic butter you can't pass up. The sauces you just want to dip your bread and keep eating. So happy we found this restaurant.

Yelp
Apparently the place to be is Ramiro's... however most people want dinner and they don't want to wait hours for seating. This place is exactly similar to the restaurant made famous by that guy who eats bugs on the travel channel located a few blocks down. The seafood here is so fresh you will literally think it came from the ocean to your plate. My family of 5 including me had a feast here that would rival any seafood meal back in the states for a fraction of the cost! What's good??? Everything! What you should try? The fresh shrimp, the shrimp in garlic, any of the grilled fish entrees and if you are feeling really adventurous try the barnacles... yes they look terrifying but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to eat a sea monster... sooo ummm do it okay!? Look at the pictures and drool... come to Lisbon and definitely eat here! Oh and the service was slamming! We had thee sweetest waiter who accommodated all of our needs.

Yelp
A surprise!! Being a visitor to Lisbon. We didn't know Tuesday is a public holiday. We wanted a quick and easy pizza for dinner from our favourite pizza bar. Not knowing they close Monday's. So we had to look for Restaurant that wasn't fully booked up. Luckily we managed to get a table after a 40 minutes wait it was well worth the wait. Excellent food and friendly staff

Yelp
Skip Ramiro. Laugh as you walk by the line. Practice your Portuguese before you order because no one speaks English and heads will turn when you enter. Enjoy the €1.25 beers and get the octopus salad and prawns for dinner. Best seafood meal of my life!

Yelp
Excellent seafood restaurant. We were a group of four and had a very short wait. We walked a block and a half past another place that looked like it had a huge wait. Guess that was due to being shown on a tv show. This place was recommended by locals and they couldn't be more right. We all ordered different meals and all enjoyed our food and the service. Would go back again and again if in the area.

Yelp
Outstanding seafood! Prompt seating without hassle, great service the food was magnificent! Fresh and large portions. I would highly recommend a visit. We had a group of nine and they accommodated us with no problem! We will

Yelp
We were on our way to a nearby restaurant (Ramiro) when our Uber driver told us that this is his favorite place and much friendlier on the wallet. So we followed his advice and it was a great decision! Definitely try the octopus salad (everything else was good and fresh too)! Clearly a local joint where folks come to watch sports etc

Yelp
Best seafood we had in Lisbon! Seems very authentic...extremely quick and attentive service wise. We ordered garlic shrimp, clams, octopus salad, and one meat dish. Everything was incredible. Great prices and the beer was so cheap :)

Yelp
Unpretentious, Fresh seafood. Get pickled broad beans (tremos) if you are having a beer.

Sydney L.

Yelp
The best authentic place in Lisbon to get fresh seafood. Always crowded with locals and their most popular dish is shrimp and white wine clams.

Yelp
Day out at the seaside, back in Lisbon at 21.30, 7 girls need to get ready for the evening and you get a group of hungry girls leaving the house after 23. We had decided to try a restaurant around Intendente but we were too late also for Portuguese standards when we arrived there. Ramiro and its neighbour restaurant were cleaning already. What to do? We wanted a real portuguese restaurant and there was none in sight on the square. Cove Funda we knwe already from the day before that was on holidays. Let's ask the police who was hanging around the square. They suggested us Mariquerira do Lis. What a great discovery! Super local, no tourist and no English spoken. Unfortunately for the only vegetarian in the group, also no vegetarian option (cheese, white rice, fries and green salad was the offer!). The non-vegetarian left the place very happy after plenty of octopus salad, tiger prawns and shrimps. All washed down with vino verde. Don't expect anything fancy, it's a local fish eatery, all the focus is on the freshness and quality of the food and you def get that!
