A Peaceful Retreat

A beautiful, safe place in Johannesburg While Jo'burg is often questioned in terms of safety, this B&B is behind a 24 hour neighborhood manned outside gate and walls, and its own high walls and gate, so it would be hard to feel more safe. The grounds are spacious and lovely, with a pool, tennis court, and beautiful gardens. The house is very nice, with a wide, shaded veranda for breakfast. The owners are cheerful, friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful. We were at the end of our 6 week drive around South Africa, and had dozens of bird pictures which we wanted to identify. The owners are both birding experts, and spent over 2 hours with us identifying every one of the birds in our pictures. We stayed at B&Bs throughout South Africa on our trip, and this is one of the best. Highly recommended.

A wonderful B&B that I like to stay at on business trips to Bryanston. Maria and her staff are lovely and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is top-notch. I highly recommend this B&B.
