A Piattatella | Hôtel 5 étoiles - SPA & Restaurant

This hotel is beautiful and very well managed. The staff is very friendly, the food delicious and the facilities are exceptional. Both swimming pools are so nice you dont even want to leave them. The breakfast is abundant and of excellent quality. The simple lunch, sophisticated dinner and the wine list were all amazing. Certainly one of the best places I have ever been to!

We spent two nights here on our honeymoon and it was perfect to recharge after such a big event. They’ve really created a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere matched with amazing views looking out onto Corsican mountains. We loved spending time by the pool but we’ll return for the breakfast buffet. The bed, pillows, sheets were exactly what you’d expect of a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately the 1 star lost is for the massage at the spa. My wife didnt ask for an energy healing session that started with a 5min guided meditation instead of a massage. For €110 euro an hour we’d expect a better service.

C’est incroyable! And that’s the end of my French. Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff, great views and wonderful food. We had a mouse (un souris!) break into our room in the middle of the night and eat my leftover gelato , and even he was lovely (would recommend closing your balcony doors at night if you’d like to avoid unexpected company). There is a small town (L’Ile Rousse) ~10 min drive away that has good restaurants, bars and a nice beach. 100% would stay again.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location is magnificent, the staff very friendly and professional, the facilities amazing and the food is superb.

Wonderful hotel, so beautiful and the views are incredible. All of the staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is super clean and tidy, very peaceful place to relax and has 2 lovely pools with very comfy beds in the sun or the shade. The spa is also very nice and the local tennis club is very close by and they are really friendly as well. I’d recommend a car but also no need to really leave as the food in the hotel is excellent! Thank you so much, we hope to come back soon!

Words do not do this place justice, but I will try....|The Hotel: set into the trees and mountainside overlooking the valley and opposite mountains provides the most spectacular views of this beautiful part of the beautiful island. On many occasions, all we could hear was gentle birdsong - no traffic or aeroplanes - nature ruled over everything. Our "standard" room was more like a premium room, with a fantastic view - and so comfortable and tastefully designed.|The in-house food was delicious and of such high quality local produce and preparation.|The Staff: every worker in the hotel was lovely and friendly - no request was too much. When we asked for recommendations for eating locally, they booked both the restaurant and taxi for us - and every restaurant was amazing. They were also very patient with my attempts to speak French!|Although classified as a hotel, it felt much more personal than what we imagined. And it's not just about the material consumption - everything is so well thought out - the place and the people have a real soul and depth. The 4 days we had took us away from the physical and mental noise of normal life. It was like a 2nd honeymoon and we didn't want to leave. I write this review as I want to express our joy with the place and staff, but I don't want too many people finding out about it - too late now!

I Cannot fault this place. We just one week at Hotel Piatatella and were simply wowed. We had the room in the main building called Monte Grosso. Waking up to the view from the balcony each morning was simply spectacular. One of the best views we have ever had from a bedroom. |The hotel is charming and boutique style with only 17 rooms. Everything has been so tastefully decorated that it was a complete pleasure staying there and we felt very at home. We explored the Baling region, using the hotel as a base and tended to do half day’s exploring and half a day by one of the two beautiful swimming pools. |There is an honesty bar at the first pool which seemed to work well. I worked out one morning in the the very calming all wood, almost sauna styled gym which has a yoga pavilion looking onto the Corsican Marquis. It was so amazingly located and thought out. Very simple in terms of the machines available however just enough to get a decent work out. |Next comes the food, carefully prepared by chef Marie. We ate at the hotel for 3 nights out of our week and it was the best food we have eaten whilst in corsica. The 3 course menu with amuse bouche is incredibly well priced at 48 Euros per head. I believe it was Sunday night where we ate a vegetable tart, magret de canard and moulleux du chocolate. The local wine is very well priced and what I loved was ordering a bottle of wine by the pool and just keeping it in their fridge for dinner or even the following day. These simple touches make the hotel have a feeling like home away from home. |Our room was very comfortable, simple, yet stylishly done. The bathroom was a good size with a bath a decent sized shower. Even tiny details like the washing line on the balcony were well thought out. |All of the staff were very friendly (shout goes out to Samuel) and one of the owners who we met was delightful. She spoke perfect English. |Going to the beach , we were offered towels for the day along with plastic money holders which are invaluable having forgot mine back home. We cannot wait to return to this amazing hotel. We spent a week down south in Bonifaccio and all we kept reminiscing was about the beautiful, raw, North and Hotel a piatatella.

We were very interested in this hotel because the website described just what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. Everything about this experience was excellent; the rooms, the food, the staff and the area all came together to give us the relaxing holiday we wanted. There are three grades of room all of which have excellent facilities - those in the main house have the best views. Although we did not use them, there are spa facilities and a jacuzzi. There are also two swimming pools - one of which is heated. The views from the hotel of the Reginu valley are spectacular. We hired a car to get to the hotel and to tour the local villages but Monticellu is within easy walking distance and there are other villages further afield which are also accessible on well maintained paths, so a car is not essential. |We had an issue with our hire car during our stay and asked the staff to help - they took ownership of the problem and resolved it to our complete satisfaction - special thanks to Thierry.
