Jeannette is a dream to work with. She helped us with our first dance, which turned out to be a highlight of our wedding weekend. Our friends and family STILL talk about it! We are extremely inexperienced dancers, but Jeannette made us feel so comfortable and safe, never judging us for a misstep. We also chose a very unique/different song and worried it might be too difficult to translate into a dance. But, Jeannette didn't skip a beat. She designed the most fun dance that fit both the song and our personalities perfectly. Each week, we looked forward to each dance lesson and they always flew by. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Jeanette is an absolutely fantastic dance instructor. She taught my wife and I how to dance when we were complete novices, and the routine we did at our wedding was the talk of the night. The basic skills she taught us also helped us in our Father/Bride and Mother/Groom dances, despite not really preparing for them at all. I thought I would hate learning to dance, but it ended up being one of the least stressful and most rewarding parts of our wedding experience... and that's all thanks to Jeannette's instruction. She is very observant and knows exactly how to help you to get you to where you need to be. You never feel judged or like you messed up. Right off the bat I am going to say that if you are thinking about hiring a dance instructor for any occasion, you should not miss out on the opportunity to hire Jeannette. She is simply instructional GOLD. After my brother and sister-in-law highly recommended her, we met with her to see about getting some lessons for the first dance for our wedding. My fiancé has never had dance instruction, and doesn't even know how to find the beat in a song (aka, NO rhythm whatsoever). He was actually highly resistant to doing a first dance just because he was so concerned about not knowing what to do, but agreed to take 4 lessons to see how it goes. Jeannette is a miracle worker though. She has the most beautiful personality and knows exactly how to make jittery brides and grooms at ease. By the end of the complimentary intro, we had our basic step down! Jeannette is very conscientious about making sure that you are working within your comfort level, while also making sure that you are building patterns as you go along working towards your goal. She knows exactly how to make adjustments to make sure that both of you are looking your best, and also adjusts as needed depending on the style of how you learn. By the end of the 2nd lesson, we were truly dancing, and my fiancé INSISTED on continuing to work with her and finish out our dance! In the meantime, Jeannette also helped my dad and I pull together a more complicated father-daughter dance on a more abbreviated schedule, and by the day of our wedding, it was flawless! On a personal level, Jeannette is just overall so wonderful and her studio is in her home in Santa Monica and it's just such a charming little sanctuary. In the insanity of our wedding planning and long work hours, going to Jeannette's was a refuge, a place where we could just enjoy each other, and it became one of the highlights of our week each week. On a logistical level, her rate is one thousand percent worth every penny of what she charges, she has a parking spot in her driveway (which is essential in Santa Monica), she is a joy to work with, and she also has very flexible hours so that working professionals can see her on nights and weekends. If I could possibly give her twice as many stars, I would. Jeannette, we will be eternally grateful to you for making our wedding day so memorable and perfect.

Jeannette is a fantastic teacher! She choreographed a beautiful dance for me and my wife to perform on our wedding day, and she helped us learn the steps in only 8 lessons. Considering that my own dance experience is limited, I was thoroughly impressed as I watched videos of our final performance. Jeannette provides the individualized attention that dance instruction needs, and she always makes sure that you are able to follow her instructions. I would definitely recommend working with her.

My wife and I got a set of 7 lessons from Jeanette (6 in the package + the free introductory lesson) and we are so happy we did! This was for our wedding and we got tons of compliments on our dance. Also, both my wife and I had ZERO experience and we didn't even have the basics, so Jeanette was able to get us from square one, all the way into having a first dance that looked like we knew what we were doing. Our first dance will forever remain one of the happiest memories of our wedding day, and that is entirely thanks to Jeannette. We didn't have any experience dancing as a couple and she worked with us (getting to know our strengths and weaknesses) to build a super fun dance that we could actually do. My fiance and I definitely needed dance lessons before our wedding and Jeannette was recommended to us by some friends. Jeannette is absolutely AMAZING. My fiance and I walked in with two left feet, I'm not kidding, but Jeannette had such patience with us as we learned the simplest of moves. She was very prepared for us, having spent time listening to and thinking about our song before our first class, so we when we showed up it was playing and she was ready to go. Jeannette recommends 10 dance lessons and on day one I didn't think we would need so many, but now I definitely see the value in doing as many as possible. Jeannette made us feel comfortable and confident to have our first dance in front of our family and friends. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Jeannette. Jeannette is the best dance teacher and we are so lucky that we found her exactly 1 week before our wedding!!! We had no dance experience at all and after getting tied up in all of the other details of wedding planning, we realized we had no idea what to do for our first dance a week before our wedding! Jeannette welcomed us with open arms and was so patient with us and with only 2 sessions she worked her magic. We danced confidently in our first dance and had so much fun! She not only worked with our dancing skills and made us look better then we ever would have other wise, she also sent us detailed notes and a edited length of our first dance song to send to our DJ. She is phenomenal and basically a miracle worker, the way she got us ready in only 2 sessions. We definitely will be coming back for more dance lessons! 100% recommend!

My husband and I are so happy we worked with Jeannette for our first wedding dance. She graciously accepted us in very short notice and was extremely flexible working three dance lessons in as little as a week! Jeannette is friendly, professional and GOOD! She focused on our strengths and choreographed a beautiful and sensual first dance to our song. She emailed us working notes after each class (which was useful) and final notes for our DJ to use on our wedding night. HIGHLY RECC!!!! Jeanette is so good at her craft- she is patient and can read an audience... could always tell when we wanted more or less instruction or were burned out of one particular move. She's a delight to be around and knows her stuff SO incredibly well. She really knows how to make you feel confident as you build little by little and we were both novices. Because of her we learned a fabulous 1st dance for our wedding and some moves to get us through the rest of the night. We felt so confident walking out for our first dance and that is so not us, we were pretty nervous about it. Watching videos of it, I looked like I actually knew what I was doing. We both did! SO grateful for her and will be back for date night dance lessons! Cannot thank her enough. Also she is super flexible as we had to change lesson times more than once and she was always accommodating. Biggest thanks to Jeanette and feel lucky we found her!!!

My now husband and I are so happy we worked with Jeannette for our first dance. Neither of us knew how to dance much and with just 7 lessons she created a whole dance for us to one of our favorite songs and made us feel so confident in the process. It was amazing to see how far we came. I also worked with her with my dad for our father/daughter dance, and again it was perfect. She is so patient, provides excellent notes and video and is so flexible. I didn't think I wanted to have dance routines for our wedding, but after working with Jeannette I could not be happier. A few months back, my husband and I were looking for dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding. I first came in not knowing how to do any type of choreographed dance and in the past, I'd get nervous every time I tried to learn. However, Jeannette made me feel comfortable from the beginning and taught us the very basics of box steps, turns, dips, how to follow / lead, etc. She was so perceptive, patient and effective and made sure whatever she choreographed for us stayed true to our personalities. We had so much fun and learned a lot from each lesson we had with her! Our first dance together definitely wouldn't have been as memorable or fun to watch without her! -Cathleen

Jeanette was SO SO patient with my then-fiancee and I, when we took dance lessons for our wedding. We had a quirky song, and my fiancee had a few apprehensions since the beat was a little faster than what he was used to. He also used to have two left feet, and the first few lessons, he looked like he was skiing on the dance floor (he used to be a ski racer so that was the movement he was used to). Anyway, Jeanette worked her magic on us and the end result was awesome. Our friend summed it up for us: "You nailed it!"

Jeanette is absolutely amazing! I am not a dancer and was petrified to dance with my new husband to our wedding song: "Some Enchanted Evening"! However, Jeanette's professionalism, talent, skills and patient/friendly demeanor was just what I needed. She made us look good in just 3 lessons! Book Jeanette! Jeannette helped prepare me and my husband for our wedding dance. We came to her a little later than we probably should have (some dragging of the feet...on my part). We were complete newbies when we came to her, and now we feel like pros. Well...I wouldn't audition for Silver Linings Playbook 2, but I'd break out a few dance moves at a future party/wedding now. In 6 lessons, Jeannette created a dance for us that fit our vibe and our requests. When something wasn't working for us, she was happy to adjust, and we ended up with something we both felt comfortable with and that our family & friends applauded. She does all her lessons in her house in Santa Monica, which felt pretty comfortable. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, and she'll email you your dance so you can practice at home.

After seeing our dance moves, our families insisted that we take a dance class. I thought it was going to be a disaster - boy was I wrong. From the moment we met Jen, I knew we were in the right hands. She is the most patient teacher I have ever seen. She will tailor a dance to your needs. Everyone was blown away by our dance - she created magic out of 10 lessons! When a few of our married friends asked us if we were going to be taking dancing lessons, we were a bit nervous at first. Neither of us are planning on being on dancing with the stars anytime soon so the thought of us having to learn a dance routine to then perform in front of 150+ people was a bit nerve-racking. One of our friends who got married a month before us referred us to Jeannette who they were also working with. From the moment we started working with her, we instantly felt SO comfortable. She is totally professional and really caters each session to each person. She makes sure you are comfortable with every move she teaches you and is incredibly encouraging throughout all sessions. You can tell she takes a genuine interest in each couple she works with and wants you to really enjoy the dance you do with one another. Our first dance will forever be one of the best moments of my life and we have Jeannette to thank for it. She took any concerns we had and completely eliminated them. Not to mention, she turned us into pretty decent dancers!! Multiple people came up to us after to compliment us on our dance - they were particularly impressed with our twirl sequences. Jen was such a great dance teacher! It was such a wonderful experience for me and my husband, learning to dance under her instruction. Her studio is in a confortable setting and feels very personalized! She also assisted my bridal party with a fun little dancing down the aisle, loved it so much!

Jeannette was wonderful and very professional. We are not professional dancers by any means but she made us extremely comfortable and patient with us and choreographed our dance to our liking and comfort level. Plus, having the lessons in her home vs. a dance studio makes the whole experience much more personal, not having to share the dance floor with other people who are practicing. Jeannette is a professional, fun and talented dance teacher. My (now) husband and I took 10 dance classes with Jeannette and went from not knowing how to dance at all, to performing a gorgeous, romantic and fun dance at our wedding that Jeannette choreographed just for us. We danced to our live band's rendition of Etta James' "At Last". We miss our weekly sessions with Jeannette!

This is a bit overdue but my wife and I got married just over two months ago (hey Jeannette!). We wanted to look somewhat graceful when we took to the dance floor in front of our friends and family as a newly married couple. So for our Valentine's Day present, my (now) wife bought us dance lessons to Jeannette's studio. We couldn't have been happier with her patience (with me, mainly!), her professionalism, and the way she teaches you to look like you know what you're doing! Our guests loved our dance, and we are so thankful for Jeannette. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough great things about Jeannette to get you ready for your big wedding dance debut! My then-fiance and I didn't have much couples dancing experience but within 10 lessons, Jeannette took us from newbies to having a respectable dance routine choreographed and executed. Jeannette was great to work with for our wedding dance! We did a tango, which I anticipated to be very difficult since we are both not dancers. But she was able to get us a choreographed routine and even little tango embellishments that made the whole dance more dramatic! Taking dance lessons with Jeannette was one of the best wedding-planning decisions we made! We chose a slightly complicated first-dance, and Jeannette helped us through each and every step (literally). She has great energy, lots of patience, and amazing moves (obviously). According to my now-husband, my signature dance move is "t-rex arms," so as you can imagine, I did not want to go out for our first dance without a plan. One of my friends who got married a few years ago recommended Jeannette. She said that Jeannette would help pick a song that would work for us, design a routine, and even create a clip so that we weren't awkwardly dancing for 5-minutes. My partner and I had so much fun. Jeannette helped us create a great routine and worked with us to get us to where we wanted to be. I think she thought we were slightly insane because for our fifth lesson, instead of refining our routine, we asked her to help us develop an additional 30 seconds to get us to the instrumental part of our song, but she did it, and we were very happy with the process and the result. On the practical side of things, we found Jeannette very easy to deal with - super flexible with scheduling (we came to her pretty late - less than a month before our wedding and we were out of town for one of the weekends in between but she managed to squeeze us in, even rescheduling at the last minute one time when I was stuck downtown at the printers) - and her rates are actually quite reasonable, especially when you factor in how she spends a lot of time outside of class thinking about what works with your song and writing up your notes - for our song, for example, she wrote the steps so that at certain parts they would coincide with the lyrics. If you're thinking about it, go for it, and choose Jeannette!
