We waited about 15 minutes to get a table — this place tends to have long wait times if you don’t arrive early, as it’s a small and very popular spot. The atmosphere, however, was lovely. There was a man singing serenades during dinner, which created such a warm and beautiful vibe.
We started with the bruschetta with tomatoes, but unfortunately, it fell flat. It lacked flavor, barely had any basil, and felt a bit uninspired overall. Honestly, I’m quite sure I could’ve made a better one myself. The tomatoes tasted like the ones we get back home in Norway during winter — watery and bland.
For the main, we had pasta in tomato sauce with meatballs. It was good, but we were a little disappointed. Our expectations were high, and while the dish was enjoyable, it wasn’t anything remarkable.
Still, the place has charm and the service was nice, so it’s worth a visit for the ambiance — just maybe lower your expectations a bit when it comes to the food.
