This place was recommended by our bolt driver in Lagoa and it was the best food we had on our trip here. We had made a reservation that day and arrived at 18:00 right when they opened and were shown to our seats quickly. The food was absolutely delicious, the fish was grilled to perfection and the seafood rice was sizzling in the pot and filled with wonderful ingredients like mussels, prawns, and crab. The flavour of the rice in its stew was simply amazing. Since we sat outside, there were constantly flies, but the waiter noticed right away and immediately brought us a fly fan. We really appreciated the quick response, such an excellent observation and truly top-notch service. If our stay in Lagoa were to be longer, we would have definitely returned for another meal.

Lovely historic spot for ye original Franceshina. Very filling. We also had a local Rose which was fab and reasonably priced, and my wife bravely tried another local delicacy, tripe. Not my fav to be honest. A must visit spot while in Porto.

A Regaleira is a historical and authentic restaurant in Porto with a long tradition in making Franchesinha. One of the earliest places to serve this iconic dish, their recipe offers a truly original and authentic taste of Porto’s Franchesinha. The food is delicious, the staff are kind and welcoming, and the location is perfect for enjoying a genuine local experience. A must-visit for anyone who wants to taste history on a plate.

Probably the best Francesinha in Porto. They serve three different variations. The francesinhas are not served with french fries but chips (freshly made). Besides the francesinhas the restaurant also offers many other dishes and starters. It is a very traditional portuguese restaurant. Although the restaurant looks pricey, the prices are very reasonable. Perfect value for money. Make sure to reserve - It can get very busy. There also some outdoor seats available.

If you want to taste Porto's signature dish, it's best to go where it was invited. Francesinha and other local dishes are waiting to be discovered. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere very warm. A place to visit again and again.

A very classic authentic Portuguese restaurant. Best Baccalau I have tried in Porto. The octopus is on another level, cooked to perfection. Additionally the side dishes complement the dish excellently
