We REALLY want to like this place and support their business, but the top-level management is abysmal at communication and resolution...and we haven't even arrived! I have, in writing, an email stating a sizable refund due to us related to a change in the reservation. I have been waiting over two weeks for something I was told across two other dates, on two different occasions, would be resolved within 24 hours. I understand we all have been dealing with serious weather issues lately, and maybe that caused a delay, but it's not an excuse for obvious unprofessionalism and disregard from management or ownership.
PRO-TIP...the gentlemen who spoke with me on the phone the other day, as one of their managers, told me "because of COVID," they no longer make rate adjustments for reschedules...it's a 1:1 night swap, regardless of a rate change. Hmmm. I'm not sure of the logic, given how wildly rates change in the Hamptons fluctuate BUT, it brings up a great opportunity. If this is their corporate policy, you should book during the off-season while this night-to-night swap is in effect and then reschedule for the summer. You will save thousands!
