The reason for 2 stars only is the disastrous service. On our arrival, we were not given the promised and payed welcome drinks as well as the hot wet towels (those were given to others but not us that day). At the reception, we were also not introduced to the hotel and all its facilities. Since our room was not ready yet, we were told to go to the restaurant to kill some time, which happened to open 1,5 h later. All this is definitely not what I would expect from a 5* hotel. The unsatisfactory service continued at the breakfast, where the waiter cleared our table after browsing at the buffet for a few minutes (we’ve had full cups of coffee as well as untouched bread on our table to indicate that we are not finished yet).
In terms of the hotel itself, the spa area, and the food we were quite content. All common areas are in a superb state. The two generous pools and the spa area invite to relax. Anyways, the price-performance ratio is definitely improvable. We have been to better and way reasonably priced hotels.
