Have been there multiple times for beers, ate their mushroom tofu bake dish. Great vegetarian options, nice and clean.

Real Vietnamese cuisine, the workers were all either really friendly or funny! Food was so yummy we came here twice during our visit here

Delicious food, highly recommend. The Vietnamese bouillabaise was interesting and had bold flavor. The salmon was the best. Tiger beer was on the menu, but was unfortunately out of stock. Green papaya salad was great, not to spicy and not overly seasoned with fish sauce.

This spot pretty much got Maui on it's Vietnamese cuisine rampage. Plain and simply put, the food is super tasty. ATMOSPHERE: The place got a major renovation done in 2013, and much needed it was. Gone are the ripped & duck taped booth seats, as well as that open-air private dining room. Everything inside is brand new, along with outdoor seating, and a cool bar that serves both environments. Unfortunately, the menus have seen better days. FOOD: Green Beans - Super crunchy and sautéed in a brown sauce with mushrooms, onions, and carrots. Really good side dish to any meal. Bok Choy - Blanched then drizzled in a mild sweet/salty sauce. Vietnamese Steak - Chunks of savory broiled steak over a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and cucumber slices. Green Papaya Salad - The papaya is cut into paper thin strips and tossed in a slightly sweet and tangy sauce with a strong basil flavor. Comes topped with either tofu crumbles or shrimp. Very refreshing starter. Sautéed Shrimp - If you love shrimp, you have to try this. Deep fried and battered shrimp with an onion-based stir-fry on top. Get it with the shell on or off, I like the latter, and your choice of spice. The flavor is mild but the batter mixed with the toppings has an excellent marriage of flavor. Clay Pot with Chicken - This has been my favorite dish since the beginning. Jasmine rice, frozen peas, chicken, carrots, fresh white & shiitake mushrooms, steamed in a sweet & salty sauce in a searing hot clay pot. The rice at the bottom of the pot is super crispy, so mix the contents as soon as the dish comes to you. Beef with Garlic & Egg - Chunks of super tender steak and onions are sautéed in a tasty brown sauce, topped with sliced hard boiled eggs and an onion/garlic stir fry mixture. Delish! Steamed Fish - It's a whole steamed fish (head and all) with a mixture of veggies done in a soy-based sauce and poured on top. This is a big portion so it's great for family style dining. Crispy Egg Noodle - The traditional deep-fried egg noodles topped with mounds of veggies sautéed in a dark brown gravy, and meat of your choice (we got chicken.) Loads of flavor and big enough for four to share. Saigon Egg Noodle Soup - Highly recommended dish for the ramen fan. It's not strong in sodium like your usual ramen and has a nice, lighter, savory flavor with thin noodles, fresh chicken strips, and green onions. Pork Chops - Wow! I've found my new favorite entree. Chunks of super tender pork done in a dry rub that is so tasty and flavorful, you'll wish you could mimic this at home. Highly recommended! Vietnamese Beef Burrito - Dried and super thin shells made of rice, I believe, are brought to your table which you dip into a bowl of hot water to soften them. You then add the already cooked beef, bean sprouts, and lettuce. Similar to a spring roll. The dipping sauce is a tangy concoction. Chicken Vegetable - Chicken strips sautéed in a savory brown gravy with broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and green beans. Good but no wow factor. Noodle Soup Special - This is a Vietnamese ramen. The broth is clear, lightly salted with a minuscule hint of sweet, but not in a gross way. You have the option of rice or flour (the one I chose) noodles. Toppings are fresh shredded chicken, green onions, dehydrated onions, 2 fresh shrimp, and rubbery calamari strips which I picked out because I hate them in soups. Thankfully there was zero cilantro in this dish. Highly recommended for the ramen fan! SERVICE: The servers are all friendly and quick. There's one infamous gentlemen in particular who comes off as a pushy salesman but he really means well. If you don't want something he's trying to up-sell you, just say so; you won't be punished for it. OVERALL: Great Vietnamese food. Prices have gone up a lot within the past year, along with every other place on Maui.

I love this place. The food is so authentic and delicious. Such wonderful service. The waiter is so welcoming and always has me laughing.

Decent Vietnamese spot. The food was average. The fried shrimp roll was the best. The fish was ok. Soup was flavorful and came out steaming hot.

Google
Good variety of dishes and the taste is as you expect. Which is good. No significant complaints here. We come here a few times a year. Seems pretty authentic and you do get the “I’m in an Asian restaurant” feel when you enter. Seems like lots of locals, so service and food is good and consistent. Not sure if this is a first date place. Maybe third and “been dating for awhile” place so you are more comfortable to speak freely about the place. Either way, you have to try it.

Inside the restaurant, the tables and chairs were a bit old and torn, but that didn't stop us from trying its dishes. We ordered a few dishes, in general every dish was sweet, we had to add fish sauce to get the typical traditional Vietnamese flavor. Braised ginger chicken is not Vietnamese-style braised ginger chicken, they use pre-boiled chicken breast, then sauté with a little ginger and onion for flavor, but it is also very sweet compared to the Vietnamese taste, rather for Americans. Sour fish soup tastes sweeter than sour, we have to squeeze more lemon to get more sour taste. The catfish in claypot was alright but not that great. In general, the dishes at this restaurant tend to be more American. If you want a salty Vietnamese taste, remember to ask for pure fish sauce.

Yelp
After more than a week of dining exclusively at five-star establishments during our trip, my wife started craving something comforting--Pho. We decided to take a chance on a place in Maui, and to my surprise, it didn't have the usual island twist of pineapple or lei garnish. Instead, this spot offered what was hands down the best-rated Pho on the island. The broth was exceptionally good, rich in flavor without being overwhelming. The soup struck a perfect balance--not overloaded with noodles, with just the right amount of protein, and a serving size that left us satisfied but not stuffed. If you find yourself missing a good bowl of Pho during your vacation, this place is definitely worth a try. They also offer a variety of Thai dishes and plates with protein, rice, and a fresh salad, so there's something for everyone.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite Vietnamese places we visit while we're on Maui. The menu always has a lot of great selections and the wait person, who might be the owner or manager, always has some witty remarks for us. I had the chicken curry stew over rice. It includes bite-size pieces of chicken thigh, carrots and potatoes and other spices in a coconut milk. I thought it was pretty good, but it was more of a soupy texture than a stew, so let's call it stewp. Would order it again, the carers might have been slightly overcooked, but the thigh pieces were actually nice and tender.

Yelp
Visitors and tourists, beware... I'm reluctant to share this, but honesty prevails. This place is undoubtedly for locals. The owner recommended the duck noodle soup immediately when we were seated, which unfortunately wasn't suitable for my vegetarian/vegan preferences... We tried tofu spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, beef bun bo xao, and tofu x pho Vietnam fried noodle. The spring rolls were a 3/10--decent presentation, but the ingredients lacked freshness. The veggie fried noodles were okay, 7/10 with a unique local taste. The staff continuously cleaned the floor, filling the air with cleaning smells, making our dining experience unpleasant. The owner, perhaps jokingly, seemed to be one-upping us as tourists with some rude humor that wasn't my cup of tea. While it might be a decent spot for locals, it's not great for someone like me from LA. I'd give it a 2/5 but acknowledge the effort, good intentions, and its status as a local mom-and-pop shop, hence a 3/5. Won't be returning.

Yelp
This is our go to place for good Vietnamese food. This place is located in the former Naokee's Restaurant location. There is usually plenty of parking available either in their lot or on the street. They have an extensive menu and everything is so good! I usually order the Vermicelli noodles with spring rolls and grilled beef. But today I tried the Naokee's Steak. It's served sliced and sizzling on a hot iron platter with sautéed vegetables and a bowl of rice. The server showed me how to pour the sauce from the vegetables onto the sizzling platter for extra flavor. It was AMAZING! The steak was tender and grilled perfectly. The added sauce not only made it more flavorful but also made it so juicy. The steak is one pound so I ended up sharing my meal since I couldn't finish it all myself. One word of caution- you will end up leaving with a lingering scent of the steak.

Yelp
Have been coming here year after year for Vietnamese food. This time we came for a late lunch. We ordered fried tofu for appetizers which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Dipped it in a sweet chili sauce. Then we ordered the Vietnamese fondue with beef, shrimp and calamari. It came with the fresh herbs, veggies, and sauce. You cook the protein quickly in the broth and put it in a rice paper to make a tasty burrito. Healthy flavorful and delicious. The service is wonderful and the place is spacious and clean. We left full. Oh and they have a decent alcohol list.

Yelp
Had lunch with some friends here. TIP - look for the rooftop sign while you are still on the main road (Kaahumanu) because you can't see it from the front if the restaurant. You have to go on some tiny streets that you wouldn't guess there was a restaurant at the end. Service: Hit or miss. Friendly, owner (or Manager?) came by just to say hello. One server wanted to take our order quickly and seemed a bit impatient. Soda order was messed up but no big deal since they came by again quickly. Food came out quickly. Food: very good. You need to ask for the food to be prepared mild or it will be very spicy, per my friend who goes here a lot. We had spring rolls, owner/manager came by to be sure we knew to wrap it in the lettuce leaf, add some vermicelli, and sauce. It was very good, nice and crispy and ingredients were tasty. We also had crispy stir fried noodles (#72) with chicken. Tasty, and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. Crowning glory - the clay pot rice dish with shrimp. Crispy rice from bottom of the pot, tasty sauce, veggies, shrimp - really good. We ordered these three dishes for four of us and there was some left overs. I would come back here again the next time I'm in Maui.

Yelp
Went there in December. Eager to try again. I had the lemon grass oxtail soup. It was pretty tasty. My husband had the steak. He was disappointed, the steak was overcooked. We ordered fresh rolls, the peanut sauce was not very tasty

Yelp
I wanted to share this awesome place with my two favorite guys - very glad I did We were seated righty away, at a nice corner table. Our evening started with the Buddha appetizer, followed by #12 NY Steak, Chicken & Shrimp Pot & Clams. The clams were ok - would've been great with bigger clams! BF enjoyed #12 and my son loved his Pot. Service was great in spite of signage warning of staffing challenges.

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times while visiting Maui the food is good and it's always fun to eat with friends and family. It was one of those nights that no one could make up their mind on where to eat. My choice then. I always like spring rolls, the clay pot dish was good and the shrimp was nice. Definitely a go to place in Wailuku.

Yelp
The staff are super friendly and love to chat with customers - I love their calamari and shrimp chips, perfect to pair with their tamarind sauce - great Vietnamese cuisine and ambiance while dining - Miguel Morales Photography

Yelp
Made a recent visit here a couple of months ago when our company bought out the whole inside dining area one afternoon to celebrate the staff for a job well done. They set up a table with a spread of appetizers like spring rolls, crispy calamari, fried chicken wings, noodles with beef and a few other dishes. It was then I was reminded how tasty some of the dishes were here. The fried chicken wings are seasoned with bay leaves, garlic, and butter -- absolutely delish with a nice crispy outside. The noodles with beef were also flavorful and the beef was very tender. The owner was also there making sure our big party was taken care of. She was very friendly and even packed up a to-go box for me to take home since there were so many leftovers still, lol. All in all, this is a good spot for some Vietnamese fare and one of the few places to offer pho as well! It was nice to try them out again after not having visited for 5+ years. They are off the beaten path, located right next to the Waiale Drive Bridge that carries Kaahumanu Avenue across Waiale Drive. They have a small parking lot with street parking also available.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Food was very good. Hubby got the pho and I got the salmon special. The spices made the salmon taste like salted fish. Texture was perfect. One of the best salmon I've ever tasted. Now the bad, we were seated outside. As soon as the food arrived, a flea landed on the pork spring rolls. All through the meal, we were constantly shooing away flies. Despite our efforts, a fly did land on top of my rice. We both ate as fast as we could. Not an enjoyable dining experience. Will only return for takeout or dining inside, maybe.

Yelp
When in Maui visit the Saigon Cafe for Vietnamese/ Chinese fusion. Noodles cooked to perfection. Try the beef salad, full bar available. Friendly atmosphere, great service.

Priya S.

Yelp
A vegetarian perspective: They have a separate page worth of veggie items. Personality of the staff is fun and pleasing. Lemongrass tofu was superb. Hot and sour soup was great- just has pineapples in it, so it's a bit sweet. Overall very satisfying after a morning of hiking!

Yelp
We were here this week for dinner and had the fried whole fish with black bean sauce. Same food, wait staff, and name. However, the restaurant was sold to local owners that stay behind the scenes.

Yelp
The charming owner asked, "Are you Vietnamese?" Totally flattered, "I'm not," I replied. "I just know how to speak the language of food!" I totally love this place and thank Yelp for pointing me here so many years ago. If I can fit it in, I come to Saigon Cafe EVERY TIME I am on Maui. I always plan to try something different from the humongous menu but inevitably end up ordering one of the two dishes served with the Nem Nuong Vietnamese "sour" pork. I don't actually find it sour at all, more like eating a cross between char siu and spam -- ground pork lightly seasoned with sweet SE Asian seasonings, grilled until firm to the bite. The only difference between the two nem nuong dishes is the type of noodle (bun = with loose vermicelli noodles and eaten from a soup bowl, or banh hoi = pressed vermicelli sheets served with do-it-yourself summer roll wrappers.) Both dishes are served with lots of fresh veg and yummy fish sauce as a pour over. In a rush this time, I ordered my food to go, sped off to the airport, dropped the car, and sat outside of TSA and dug in. I must have looked happy since three people asked me where I got my food! :p
google avatar

Maisie W.

Yelp
We got Pho special and Hot and sour Mahi Mahi soup with rice which I would get again. The vermicelli chicken curry: it was good but I probably wouldn't get it again since it was too oily. Our waiter was a funny man also.

Yelp
Awfull:Bartender/manager very rude, I can't believe the owner still have this person working there, also the young guy he is supposed to be the server very rude, doesn't know the menu awful person.

Yelp
We love Vietnamese food and usually will go to Kihei Plaza area but this Vietnamese restaurant was closed after Covid. Then we found this one and drove a long way to try them out. Thank goodness it didn't disappoint us. As soon as we parked the car, there is a men sitting by the back door told us $5 for parking! What? Then he said just kidding! He took us in and sat us down in a half full restaurant. It wasn't too fancy but very clean with tall ceilings, I like it. They have a good selection of foods in a big menu. They also have a full bar there. We ordered a glass of red wine and my favorite ice coffee, Beef pho combo, grill pork chops, fried spring roll and bitter melon with ground pork in black beans sauce. When the dishes came, omg !! All of them were delicious . The spring rolls were so crispy and yummy! The pork chops were so tasty and the dishes were so big. The beef pho noodles soup was amazing with lots different kinds of meat..The bitter melon dish was so special and I don't get to eat them often because they are so seasonal. I will definitely come back more often to try other dishes... highly recommended. Candy W NJ & HI

Yelp
My new favorite Vietnamese restaurant on Maui. Friendly staff, plenty of table and good air circulation. The food is very good. I love their seafood Saimin. Delicious! Their spicy soup and vermicelli are also very tasty. All with fresh ingredients and complexity. Just don't order the Pho's, not their best work...There's also a full bar for beers or cocktails! Very popular with locals as it fills up very fast! Plenty of parking.

Yelp
This a a mom and pop restaurant at its finest. A huge menu but everytime I come I try something new and have never been disappointed. It's a first come first serve spot so u need to get there early if u wanna catch a table. I had there steamed fish and it was the best I have had.
google avatar

Vic W.

Yelp
We stopped by here looking for authentic Vietnamese food. There was a wide selection of choices and great customer service. The pho was bland. 1/10 for taste. Ice water was 10/10. Water tasted so much better than the pho.
google avatar

Katelyn K.

Yelp
I'm visiting and I came here for dinner because of great reviews on Yelp. We were seated right away for a party of four. Parking was hard to find but we found street parking on the side. I was disappointed to find out they don't have bun rieu. They also don't have lime. Instead they give you lemons. That's already a bad sign that Pho isn't going to be good. The broth is on the sweet side. Honestly if you had Pho in LA, this is probably the worst one you'll ever have. I was looking at other tables and I should have ordered something else that isn't Pho. The waiter also took the order wrong and my friend had to wait longer for his food to come out. Overall, don't get Pho here. Perhaps try other items on the menu.
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
We came here on a day that was raining, and there were still a good amount of tables filled! I always think that's a great judge of a restaurant. The pho is delightful (especially since it was a rainy day)! I also got the vermicelli curry chicken which was out of this world! I felt comforted by this food when the weather had taken a turn for the worse that afternoon.

Yelp
Don't waste your time and or hard earned money here. Ain't worth it. Plain and simple.
google avatar

Yelp
I think it is some of the best Pho Ga ever. Big bowl, flavorful broth and lots of sprouts and basil toppings offered. Staff is hearty friendly and seating is fast. Service was quick and the setting is clean and comfortable

Yelp
Food is Amazing. I took my daughter here for her first bowl of Pho She fell in love just like I once did. This place is the real deal. A great date place too. A comical & refreshing dining experience. Authentic.

Yelp
As soon as we fly in from California, get the rental car, we go to A Saigon Cafe and enjoy our first meal in Maui. We always order 3-4 items; The first item was "Shrimp X B/S #55". This dish is our #1 favorite but not in this case. The Shrimp were very-very tough, you needed a sharp knife to cut it into pieces you can eat. I told the bartender and he remarked...."It was probably overcooked". Make sure you mention to your server not to overcook the Shrimp. The other items were great. This occurred on September 30, 2023 at 1:13 PM; Cashier: Harry. The service was great. Just a warning to you, Steve W.

Judith M.

Yelp
Sorry to report that on a recent lunch visit the food was really disappointing. Ordered the Spicy Island Eggplant curry - both the eggplant and the onions were still raw, the yellow curry sauce was very thick with this odd and overspiced taste - no coconut milk or basi. We couldn't eat it. The fried spring rolls were overly cooked and the romaine lettuce leaves were so small there was no way you could wrap them around the rolls. The green papaya salad was just okay. I'm afraid would no longer recommend this restaurant - I have been a customer since 1995.

pedro m.

Yelp
I just stop after long day a work With out thinking to much I order a PHO and a a coffee, just Fabulous!! You have to try

Bo B.

Yelp
We love this place, we come once a week to get our fix for pho and spring rolls. Great service too!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
It's the same building and the same bartenders. Some of the staff are different but the main thing is the cook in the way they cook is different and it appears to be more like Cantonese Chinese food then Vietnamese style food. The clay hot pot I had was good and it did come with a it came with good mushrooms and a decent sauce over chicken.. we had a big bitter melon dish, which the only the only protein they offered with it was a pork source which we declined. That dish was definitely better under the former owners.. they still practice some Covid precautions which is a favorable thing and it's a nice looking place with adequate parking. This type of restaurant seems to be being squeezed by food trucks or restaurants to provide less service. I still like it but unfortunately I wouldn't call it special anymore.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Local gem. Food is great. One of our favorite spots on Maui. Bar options are limited.

Charlotte Y.

Yelp
The food is out of this world. I have come here for ages and still love this place. You will not be disappointed
google avatar

Yelp
First place we ate on the island of Maui-after getting into town. Ricked ordered a stir fry tofu. The veggies were fresh and the tofu was cooked soft they way he likes it. The biggest problem was his dish was salty. Other than it was great. I had sweet and sour tofu. My tofu was cooked crispy the way I like it. My dish had very fresh veggies and the sweetness wasn't overpowering. My dish was perfect. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and prices were typical for Maui.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
Somewhat amusingly for a Vietnamese restaurant, this place made the best papaya salad (which I typically associate with Thai food) that I have ever had. There other food was good too, they were insanely fast, super friendly, and reasonably priced. If I lived on Maui, I would be here every weekend; alas, I will just have to return on every visit. Go order the papaya salad.
google avatar

Darryl O.

Yelp
This is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant on Maui.We have been coming to this restaurant for years.not your typical tourist spot. our waiter we've had for years is very funny. he always jokes around my favorite go to dish is the clay pot with the chicken and shrimp with rice delicious my wife ordered the duck soup for the first time and she thought it was spectacular. If you were in Maui this is the restaurant to go to if you like Vietnamese food right place Togo too
google avatar

Rebekah M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food. Authentic dishes with a big menu. Abundant Fresh basil and mint. Can't wait to try the next thing !! We like family style and share . Staff is helpful and attentive . You don't want to miss this spot !! Worth the drive from upcountry , anywhere .

Yelp
A locals spot for sure- Extreme mediocrity is nothing to strive for in the foodservice business. Beware, the kitchen is kinda nasty - I have 30 years experience as a Chef in fine dining in Colorado ski towns... I started as a dishwasher as a young man, so ive seen it all....& know what's up. The owner sat us & asked me if I wanted the special, duck noodle soup. I said sure, sounds great- POS Had the gall to serve me yardbird chicken from the parking lot in a horrible brown broth with top Ramen noodles, one of the worst things I have ever been served, anywhere. AND the whole time, he acted like he was getting one over on the stupid tourists. He was rude & made fun of us while serving us thinking it was going over our heads, & he was oh so clever, what a tool ! Some of the old Bad unfriendly Maui vibe from the 80's is what i got here, not a good meal- Caveat emptor
google avatar

A. Joshua G.

Yelp
Great food. Great local spot. Hilariously funny staff. Vietnamese coffee was spectacular. Cute garden with outdoor seating. Definitely on my every time I visit list.

Yelp
Excellent food but booths and chairs give me a back Ache....Great service best Vietnamese food

Yelp
Short, simple & to the point - Not to be missed. Food is fresh, made-to-order and Tastes Great. Not to be missed!

William T.

Yelp
Jennifer needs to spend more time at her restaurant, things are going downhill. We have been going for decades and had a particularly bad experience last night. Food was off par last night, but #62 (chicken lemongrass) had almost no meat. When brought to the waiter's attention his comment was "order more chicken next time!" (Dumb), but offered no remedy.
google avatar

Molly W.

Yelp
If you're ever craving pho on your trip to Maui, you need to come here. The owner's husband is very entertaining and hospitable. He greeted us with, "Whoop there it is!" Their beef pho broth was a tad bit bland but it still had the depth of a good deep beef broth. It definitely hit the spot on a more windy day in Maui. Their fresh summer rolls were a healthy bite too for a starter.
google avatar

Tram H.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic home-style Vietnamese cooking on Maui, this is the place to go!!!! My bf and I came here during our recent trip to Maui and I'm glad we did, because I'm coming here every time I go to Maui now. We came during lunch time so it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. We ordered the fresh summer rolls, hot and sour fish soup w/ catfish, and chicken curry stew. Summer rolls were summer rolls, but I always enjoy a good summer roll for the veggies and the peanut hoisin sauce. The hot and sour fish soup tasted almost like how my mom makes it at home with the fresh pineapple, veggies, and a TON of catfish. My bf really enjoyed his chicken curry stew, and so did I . I want to go back and try their pho because a gentleman who sat at a table across from us had just finished his pho and told the server that it was the best thing he's ever had (and I assume it was probably his first time trying pho), but that definitely made me put a reminder to come back next time we go to Maui, hehe.
google avatar

Randall S.

Yelp
This restaurant was the needle in the haystack for me. I've visited Vietnamese restaurants before and seen pho and spring rolls. These folks take the cooking to a whole new level with a multipage menu that offers noodle dishes, vegetable dishes, pork dishes, fish dishes and goes on and on. I almost didn't get to eat because there were too many things I wanted to try! Fortunately a friend helped to select the dishes and each one was prepared carefully so appealed visually and in flavor. I had fish and it was delicious! The servers are great and don't mind being asked what the particulars are of each dish. It was a wonderful experience and is now on my list of places to visit when I'm on Maui again.

Yelp
A Saigon Cafe was recommended to me by a friend. I popped in one day at lunchtime to order something to bring home to heat up for dinner. I chose the oxtail soup as well as the chicken curry with lemongrass. Both reheated perfectly for my dinner. Chicken lemongrass was pretty spicy but very tasty. The oxtail soup is in a dark broth served with noodles, basil, scallions and was also Yummy. The place was pretty crowded at lunchtime although I could have gotten a seat had I wanted one. And the service was super friendly and welcoming. Just another place I'll be paying another visit to as they have an extensive menu and there are many things on it I would like to try!
google avatar

Kat W.

Yelp
Came here on a weeknight evening shortly before closing and it was PACKED. Menu is really impressively extensive and hits a majority of Vietnamese food you may be craving. Owner is hilarious and great. Ambience is nice. We were all very pleasantly surprised by how tasty out food was. Pho broth was full and hearty and just the right flavor. My one qualm is that the portions are pretty small, from the bean sprouts, herbs and lime to the bowl of pho (mostly broth and very little noodle).
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
If it looks like pho, smells like pho but doesn't taste like pho then what do you have? I'll let you decide on the answer to that question. A Saigon Cafe is highly reviewed and conveniently located. My friend and I came here to have a nice bowl of pho. The price tag for it was comparable to another restaurant I went to for pho previously. A Saigon Cafe actually has bowls and plates as to the other restaurant being takeout containers. Huge plus when having pho. You're also dining inside a restaurant vs outside. They have a restroom as well. Problem is that the bowl of pho here is not what I was expecting. The broth didn't have a deep beef flavor and their meat quality is not the standard of most places I've dined at. Sad to say, the condiments didn't help the bowl taste any better. It's rare that I don't eat what I order but after a few bites I was done. I couldn't eat anymore so 2.5 stars. Service was friendly but I didn't get a refill of water while I was there. Would I come back again? Probably not for pho but I'm glad I had the opportunity to check them out once. Maybe their other dishes taste better? I'll let you guys decide but this restaurant is a one and done for me for pho here.

Yelp
Guys the original owners have sold this property. When we arrived there was a man in the back cleaning onions on the ground while chickens were nearby. Besides that the pho was horrible one of the least flavorful pho's I've had in awhile. Service was terrible no one filled up our drinks even after we reminded the staff. Locals beware this spot has changed and under new management it's terrible.
