We stumbled by a street bar named desire whilst out with my wife in Rosebank. The atmosphere and the music was really great. With a great mix of people. I loved the service and the drinks were decently priced. They had shisha for R250 if I remember correctly. That was also good. I would definitely recommend if you want a good bar when visiting Johannesburg.

We visited A Streetbar Named Desire for the Drag Quiz and it was so much fun! The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tapas was delicious, we enjoyed sharing and having a taste of a few different things. The cocktails were delicious as well as beautiful. We will definitely be back!

This is a really great spot! The food was divine and so were the cocktails. Bees were just bothering my friends but nature will be nature. The service was really great and they also have shisha which you can enjoy while sipping on your cocktail.

Safety issue: Absolutely terrible time at street bar last night. This place now has pick pocketers so if you want to get your phone stolen while trying to have fun - perfect place to go to. My phone was stolen from me inside the premises and I received no assistance from the bouncers at all - as the bouncer was aggressive when I asked for help, as though this is an inside job. We should not be having our phones taken from our bags while inside a place that apparently has security measures to mitigate this. Absolutely disappointing.

This is a very cool spot to get cocktails. I recommend sitting upstairs as the view and the vibe are a bit better than downstairs. The service was alright, a little slow but we got everything we wanted in the end. There is parking on the street but I don’t think it is that secure and it’s probably better to Uber. The cocktails they recommended were delicious and the prices are on par for cocktails in joburg. The starters we had we tasty and as expected. It can get very busy on weekends but I would definitely come here again.

Pretty neat spot. It gets busy at night so finding a table to sit at can be difficult. That's probably be why a lot of people reserve tables instead of just walking in. There's an upstairs, a downstairs section and a sidewalk section. The upstairs section is really open with a big open area. Both the downstairs and upstairs have bars. Their cuisine seems to be quite Mexican. So expect a lot of tapas. The service is alright. Nothing to complain about it.
