Stumbled across this Bar whilst looking for a bar and chill spot in Johburg. Great music. Great vibe. And the Shisha for R250. The drinks were reasonable priced as well. Just a great night out.

I’ve now been to a streetbar named desire a few times, the service is generally great, the music is always on point, and the vibes are consistently high. It’s always busy, which adds to the energy and vibe of the place, but sometimes it can feel a bit overcrowded. My only issue has been with the shisha. The last two times I’ve ordered, the pipes have been really disappointing. They’ve either tasted burnt, nothing like the flavour I requested, or just generally off. At R350 a pipe, you expect better quality and consistency. I really hope they look into improving this.

The manager was very welcoming. We enjoyed our time. It was my girl's birthday and she had fun of he life the manager offered courtesy drinks for her. Id suggest this plqce anyday to my friends and family

We stumbled by a street bar named desire whilst out with my wife in Rosebank. The atmosphere and the music was really great. With a great mix of people. I loved the service and the drinks were decently priced. They had shisha for R250 if I remember correctly. That was also good. I would definitely recommend if you want a good bar when visiting Johannesburg.

Great waiters, even better setting of diverse grouping of people. I ordered lamb chops and they were quite small, but to give the Devil it's due, they did tell me beforehand.

We visited A Streetbar Named Desire for the Drag Quiz and it was so much fun! The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tapas was delicious, we enjoyed sharing and having a taste of a few different things. The cocktails were delicious as well as beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Horrible when it comes to safety my iphone was pickpocketed last year around this time and a few months ago my friends phone was stolen. Also when i was there this year i bumped into some random girl that had her phone stolen on that same night. Other than theft it is a great place to groove but it gets over OVER crowded.
