It's so tasty and has a very nice vibe at night. I would definitely go back. :) Great service. It's usually super busy, but we were able to just walk in!

Tapas are a great treat here, the flavors are unexplainable, each dish hit your mouth with such delight and fresh taste. Be patient and the hostess will sit you for drinks or food, there might be a wait as it’s a stop for many tourist. Can’t go wrong, and won’t recommend any specific dish as all were very good, try them all and the house red wine is really good enough to just enjoy with your meal. We would return .

Google
Really amazing “snacks” tapas. Only €1.75 each and I can recommend them all - you can’t go wrong. The place is very special, busing with locals and has a great atmosphere.

Came here for my camino November. Travelling solo and nervous about eating alone. Had the most pleasant Filipino servers (wife and husband) who gave the best advice on what to get. No wait time, food was the best ive tasted since starting the camino. Great atmosphere and great staff. Highly recommend this place.

Google
Awesome tapas and great wine. I went every night I was in Santiago, and I tried many dishes. Ask the servers for suggestions as they really know their craft. The triple chocolate desert is nearly orgasmic. English menu available.

Google
Their seafood tapas is well known by tourists, hikers, and locals alike, so except long lineups. Asking to sit at the bar usually gets you quicker service but even if you need a table, the menu is worth the wait. The staff experience a non-stop flow of customers so they can be pretty tired and maybe a little slower towards the later evening - a couple of dishes took too long to arrive but we're delicious. The food is surprisingly amazing for such a busy house.

Went here 5 years ago, was lucky to find it again . The good thing is that they open early and no need for hikers to wait till 8pm. Selection of amazing food combinations. I eat a lot and after 6 tapas 3 drinks the bill was 24€

Google
Top tier. Worth the wait. Sit at the bar if you can, you'll get seated faster and have quicker access to ordering. I had four drinks and 6 pintxos and the bill was just under €30

Yelp
I had lunch at A Taberna do Bispo after a wonderful citywide tour of Santiago de Compostela. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a break. We ordered cold bottled beers, which were refreshing after the long day, ham, and of course, we had to try the octopus. It was tender and flavorful--definitely a highlight of the meal! The ambiance was lively, and the service was prompt, though it got a bit crowded as the afternoon went on. Overall, a great place to experience local flavors in a bustling atmosphere. I'd gladly return!

Yelp
A Taberna do Bispo offers a menu of tapas in an elegant yet dining room and bar counter and was a great place to try out some Galician specialties. The Pulpo Feira was a classic Galician preparation of sliced octopus served over potato slices, all dressed with olive oil and paprika. The Vieira a la Plancha was a whole grilled scallop served in its shell with two juicy shrimp, and the Calamarcitos Plancha were little grilled calamari dressed with an herb oil. Finally, we tried the Tetilla, a local cow's milk cheese traditionally molded into the shape of a breast; and the Tibia de Arroz y Gambas, a warm mixture of wild rice with corn, pineapples, and grilled shrimp pieces. Everything here was tasty though not outstanding in flavor and presentation, and the service was friendly but slow.

Yelp
Lo mejor de tapas en Santiago de Compostela. Con servicio incomparable. El ambiente que se encuentra en el camino y nunca te vas a olvidar de este lugar. Buen camino y chao.

Yelp
delicious food, helpful staff, no reservations but before 10pm wait time well worth the visit!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious tapas! Great service staff. Nice atmosphere. Large assortment of dishes -- all are incredible!

Yelp
Holy croquetas. Didn't mean to make a pun alluding to the religious history of Santiago de Compostela, but that stuff was divine. Had lots of croquetas later on in my trip including Madrid, but nothing compared to how they did it here. Theres a wide variety of dishes to chose from on the menu, took a while longer for me to decipher the Spanish, but no problems in the end. The jamón ibérico was cheap. The steak (solomillo de ternera) and mushrooms took a while to arrive, but was definitely worth the wait. The egg and potato omelette (tortilla de patata) was basic, but ours was oversalted though. This restaurant blends in along the big busy alleyway of town, but it is highly recommend. Service was just ok, but I did enough in Spanish to survive (some wait staff spoke a bit of English). Loved this place and wish I went a second time during our stay.

Yelp
The service was I good and we had a variety of tapas for a decent price. Really enjoyed the variety. My husband practically picked everything that had sardines. The crab one was excellent.

Yelp
Good casual tapas joint. A lot of energy, good efficient service. Tons of variety. Everything tastes great. Prices are reasonable considering location. Worth checking out.

Yelp
Sat at the bar here and just ordered randomly. Was not disappointed . Had the scallops and shrimp (crazy good), the octopus (really good), then the fried shrimp and another shrimp pincho was were okay. Some of the food was already prepared to eat, and some others (like octopus, squid, calamari) you would order then have to wait a bit while they prepared it. A good thing. Decent prices and good food. Can't go wrong.

Yelp
One of our best meals in Santiago, however, staff could use improvement in their customer service skills.

Yelp
Good food. They do not close in the afternoon. The pimiento and navajas was great Good attention. Lot of people.

Yelp
Just want to add praise to this restaurant. The plates were delicious -- especially the garlic shrimp and the mussels on the tapas menu -- the service efficient and friendly, the cost quite modest. Well worth looking for when you visit Santiago.

Yelp
Went to this place because of the positive reviews. Greeted well and they were great about seating us. The tapas were good but not great. We had several recommended. Worst part was our server, she had to be asked to bring our water again after we had ordered it. Not a big deal but it was a miss.

Yelp
eat, pray, eat again. something the fam did a bit of this vacay, as in our table loaded with tapas here. the bar had a massive array to choose from as well as hot dishes on menu. particularly yum were grilled prawns, stuffed octopus, chorizo and bacaloa croquettes. lots of university students and daytrippers like us (cheaply) gorging.

Yelp
My favourite tapas bar or quick bite place in Santiago with terrific Albariño and great value for the quality of the seafood. You point to what you want from the glass window and they whisk it away and then present it to you warmed up and delicious! It's a very popular place so expect to stand if it's busy but I'm often there alone and can usually get a counter seat before too long.

Yelp
Absolutely worth going - tapas of high quality, great variety, seasoned perfectly and well prepared. I had small clams and calamari which were done perfectly. My wife had the hake with tomato compote and it was to die for - she started with two and had a third. This is a very popular tapas bar so if you want a table, get there early. If you have to wait, it's worth it. Waiters speak English (to a degree) and were very attentive to our needs (wife is gluten free). Many of the bars around it are nowehere near as crowded and there's a reason why - this is so much better!

Charlene I.

Yelp
Great tapas bar. It was crowded tonight but we were able to find a table. Enjoyed calamari romana, chorizo Iberica, potato's bravas ( which were very spicy), bread and wine. What a great way to start our Santiago de Compostela trip!

Yelp
This would be a 2 star review except for some excellent pimientos de pardon (little green peppers that are mostly not hot). We sat at the tapas bar. The place was insanely busy and it was hard to get a seat though from most of the food we had I am not sure why. It is on a main street and people flock to a place that is busy. But its high rating on TripAdvisor is a mystery to me. The bread on the tapas was stale. We saw a shrimp salad behind the tapas bar that looked good but when he dipped his spoon into the salad he did so in the back where it was almost all horrible pressed fish-matter sticks. We got exactly one shrimp. It could be that the people who were ordering off the menu instead of from the tapas bar were getting something better. it wasn't exactly cheap either.

Yelp
Excellent tapas, great staff!! We happened to be here on thanksgiving day and had a great meal, and dessert too! The coffee whiskey flan is a must!!!
