Have been three times now since moving to the area. Straightforward, superbly cooked dishes, good sized portions, decent wine list. A genuine neighbourhood restaurant run by a hard working, entertaining, kind husband and wife team. Feel very lucky to have this place here in Malpas.

I went here twice. Both have a good experience. It is a couple run this restaurant. They really take care of the customers and serve good food.
Last time, I had salmon for lunch. It was good. This time, I ordered a starter and lamb rack sharing with my friend. Feel like fine dining.
Needs to book in advance for lunch. Otherwise, they only open for dinner.

Wonderful place to eat. Superb food and the owners really looked after us. It was quiet being a weeknight after Mother’s Day but it felt really nice inside and I expect the atmosphere is lovely when it fills up too.

Fantastic quality food with superb menu. Don’t go here if you want pub food. The food is homemade and the standard of a first rate restaurant.
Recommend the risotto starter and also the lamb kidneys. Mains try the half crispy duck and the haddock and prawn pancake.
Definitely a little gem of a restaurant.

Six of us went and the service was great. No one was kept waiting and the food all homemade was gorgeous.
They are husband and wife and the wife cooks while her husband waits on. Great combination👍.

What a wonderful find, spent a great evening last night here with family, the wine, food,service and the hospitality of the owners were second to none it felt like visiting old friends.
The scallops were to die for and the seabass delicious.
Definitely on the revisit list very soon

The food is first rate. Very very nice, couldn't recommend enough. I had the scallops (4 of them) as a starter, fillet steak (cooked beautifully) with blue cheese sauce and a treacle and ginger desert that I was too full to eat but just had to. Highly recommended
