Rice noodles are a basic taste all over the world, so there's nothing special about them, but it's so nice to eat warm soup in a cold place. I ate rice noodles here for one meal every day while I was staying in Yellowknife. Koreans might find it a little salty, so I recommend asking for warm water and adding a little bit of it to adjust the seasoning. The small size 17 Satay Beef Noodle Soup that I ate was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn't spicy. It just tasted like red rice noodles. You can ask for it to be spicier, but I seasoned it myself with sauce on the side. The spring rolls are the same for numbers 1 and 11, but number 1 is beef and number 2 is vegetable. The staff were kind enough to recommend and explain the food.

I had Vietnamese food after a long time and I loved their soup very much. The staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, and very kind. I recommend this place.

It was pretty busy during peak hours. The food was ready in 15 mins, and it was very tasty

Beef noodle soup super delicious. Fried spring rolls also quite good but the steam one soso (skin too thick). Fried ice cream 5/10.

My experience at this restaurant was a bit hit and miss. While the food was decent, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, including pho, a rice vermicelli bowl, wonton soup, fried rice, and chicken wings. Most of the dishes were satisfactory, but none stood out as exceptional. What really threw me off was the service. When we placed our order, the server rushed us through without confirming what we had asked for, and seemed a bit on edge. To make matters worse, they mixed up our order and brought us three plates of spring rolls that we hadn’t ordered at all. All in all, it’s a place worth trying, but with the service issues and average food, I’m not particularly eager to return.

Sliced raw beef pho is good beyond my expectations, with tasty broth and chewy noodles.

Place is busy and there is little check in during dining. You need to flag them down for water refills and such but the food was very tasty. My favorite is #25 and I like the shrimp stuffed wings.

Yelp
Amazing place. Pipping hot very flavorful pho. Great for the cold/ snow. Would highly recommend. Best food i had at Yellowknife. My aunt who is very picky with her food even enjoyed her Wonton noodle soup. Service was good. Waitress suggested that she cooked our bean sprouts for us so it doesn't cool the soup. Very vietnamese resturant to me. Would definitely come back if it wasn't so far

Yelp
I've gone here twice In a week and likely again before I leave. Went here everyday the last time I visited. For $17.95 you get the Pho Dac Biet in a good bowl size with piping hot soup and decent amount of meat. The broth is tasty! Now, I remember when pho was $7.95 for a large bowl and due to its popularity the price has skyrocketed. Same with Banh MI. The price here is on par with bigger cities and for that I'm thankful. Anything over $18 for a bowl is robbery so for Yellowknife.. This is about right. This place is different in that to keep costs and waste down they ask you when ordering if you want bean sprouts in it. You can also get broccoli added. Haven't tried the rice dishes. Oh yeah it's always packed when I come, that's a good sign that the restaurant is doing well. During the evening they have alot of take away orders.

Yelp
fresh food, cravings satisfied, hunger solved, make me cry food for how good the food is, with a side of bitchyness from the middle aged lady that never bring us water or menus for a lil while, lovely eye rolls but other then that the young server is a sweet heart. would eat there again and again other then that.

Yelp
soup base was only ok, only 1/3 of beef compare to regular Pho in San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles area. But the owner was very honest and good attitude. Open on Sunday, a big PLUS. I enjoyed my hot soup in the cold -36 degree Sunday night. Will repeat if I go to Yellowknife again.

Yelp
Fairly pricey for a bowl of pho with a few pieces of meat. Though I can imagine with the cold weather up in NWT, you might be willing to pay the premium for some hot soup. The flavor of the broth is good. And if you like spicy, ask of the house special homemade hot sauce on the side. Better than the generic sriracha knock off.

Yelp
Came to Taste of Saigon after 7pm on a week night. Thought it would be fairly slow. I was in for a surprise. There was a queue of people waiting to pay, and I thought that I'd have to wait until all those folks were done before even getting seated... no sir. One of the servers saw me and directed me to a table immed. Was given a menu, and because it had over 10 yrs since I was last in ToS, I had asked about a couple of items on the menu. Went with the Chicken curry. Thought it would just be the potatoes, chicken in the curry sauce... but wait, it also comes with rice and the server included a "satay" sauce on the side. The Chicken curry was volcano hot, and of course I was famished, so of course I burnt my mouth ! Mmmm the Chicken curry had some very nice flavours to it. The rice was nice and the "satay" sauce was indeed satay, but almost like a paste. All very nice. Overall, I was dining solo, there is no TV or anything so don't expect to be entertained. There were a bunch of children running around the place, but luckily they were playing fairly quietly. My server was very nice and was very interested in making sure that my meal was good. Service was good and the food came out quickly. My only complaint is I think they use MSG with their food as my tongue swelled a bit after eating, which is usually a sign of MSG. That I'm not a fan of. Reasonably priced and a solid meal. Yup, I'll go back.

Yelp
Taste of Saigon is good little Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Yellowknife. I've been here a few times and have no complaints. A solid little diner (actually rather big come to think of it). I've been to ToS for lunch and the place was packed. Tonight I came at about 4:30 and it was understandably empty. The Spicy Beef Satay soup warmed my cranky belly. Good times!

Yelp
For sure my new favorite place to eat. I've always been a huge fan of Pho, whether it's cold outside, or hotter than the gates of Hades. Pho is just one of those things that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, and is perfect if you are not feeling well or have the sniffles. Saigon has a really great bowl of Pho actually and I was a little relieved that I wouldn't have to give up one of my favorite creature comforts just because I'm living in the middle of the Great white wander! reasonable prices and half decent service that is actually quite quick, I'll be making this spot a weekly visit for my fix :)

Yelp
Food quality was mediocre. If this place was in Vancouver or Toronto I would have given it 1 or 2 stars. However given this is Yellowknife, and there is not much competition for Vietnamese food, I'd rate it as a 3. Just don't expect authentic food. Prices are much higher than what I'm used to paying. $13 for pho is steep!!

Yelp
Good restaurant. Taste great! I went this restaurant twice in 4 days. It feels great to have a bow of noodle and soup in cold winter.

Yelp
its an okay restaurant and the food was not that yummy. A little bit overpriced because its in yellowknife

Yelp
My favorite place in Yellowknife. Fast service, good servings and good price.

Yelp
Food was OK, filled the hunger. The service was .... well it was nonexistent. When we walked in no one acknowledged us, when someone finally saw us they sat us down and walked away. Once served, our server never came by once to see how everything was, no refills on our drinks, and no bill once we were finished. I could see if it was busy but there were maybe a few tables of 2 ppl there. A little bit of customer service; a smile, acknowledgment, and at least one check in would go a long way. I will say that the food came out quickly, so if you are in a rush, this place is great.

Yelp
Great service, very welcoming and they make you feel right at home. Food is amazing and served hot and fast. Always busy but that's to be expected because of their reputation of being awesome! Our family will be forever returning customers

Yelp
Love the spring rolls and the dumplings as apps. I'm trying always trying something different on the menu and never disappointed. The service has always been fast and efficient, perfect for 1 hour lunches when you're on the company clock.

Yelp
Not too bad. Nice interior, average prices...but once the lunch crowd arrives the good service goes out the window. Food was pretty average and closer to room temperature than hot or cold, but did arrive pretty quick.

Yelp
I was pleased to eat at this very good Vietnamese restaurant. I was served a surprisingly good bowl of pho, which I did not expect in the North. The interior of the restaurant is clean and pleasant, and it was lively and evidently quite popular. The service was not particularly attentive, but one goes to a Vietnamese restaurant for the food, not the service. I have pho frequently in other cities and the prices here are higher, as expected in Yellowknife, but they are not outrageous by any means. I will definitely make a point of visiting this place again if I return to this city.

Yelp
I have been a customer here for years, the in house service is rude and the only benefit is you will get your food fast. They don't usually fail to get your order correct in house. Phone in your order and every time it will be wrong. 3 times in the last two months I have opened my lunch to find no Sauté after being very verbal about having sauté on my chicken as I dislike their food without any flavor whatsoever. They will refuse to help or rectify the problem they will be rude on the phone about their right to not fix it because they are busy so that your experience is angering and even encourage bad reviews, rather than make any attempt to rectify the situation and you will end up eating the most bland, dry piece of chicken ever produced for an exorbitant amount! I will take my business to Miss Saigon's, the food is better and so is the service. I wouldnt even give them one star but it wont let me not give any stars.

Yelp
The staff was friendly and very helpful. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, or maybe my expectations are too high, but the food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken noodle soup. The broth was bland, the chicken had been cooked likely a day or 2 before, and the overall effect was not what I was hoping for. But, like I said, the staff was awesome the restaurant was clean, and I'm willing to try them again

Yelp
Food was ok....price was good. A place to eat without risk of disappointment. The service is good; very accommodating!

Yelp
Worst service ever !!! Especially the women (the owner I am guessing), who always stay at the hill , is rude and impolite. If you have been there, you would know what I am talking about. Its not only my own experience. This restaurant is not even worth to give 1.0 out of 10. I had never written negative review before but this one without any hesitation.
