One of the tastiest meals we have had and the bonus was that it was so healthy as well as being delicious. Great service and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Unfortunately photos I took do not do the food justice as the pita bread was soft and warm and the salad and dip was unreal. If you are looking for a great fees at a reasonable price you can't go wrong eating here.

Google
The food was good and quick and made to order. The owner was friendly. A decent selection of beer. Multiple vegetarian options. Cost is reasonable. Restaurant has some chairs and tables inside but not many. Overall we were very pleased. The cauliflower with turmeric sauce was my favorite. Would return for a classic mediterranean fast meal.

Google
I had shakshouka with meatballs, which was very tasty. Good price/value ratio. Little hidden gem in raval. The only negative (that's why i can't give 5 star) is that my focaccia came with a mold in it. The waiter apologized and gave me new ones, obviously, the service and atmosphere were really friendly. I would definitely return, im sure i had just bad luck with the "bread".

Google
Soooo freakin' good! Highly recommend! Our party ate several times during our stay in Barcelona. Outstanding service and "balls" just "done right!" Definitely make it a stop the next time you're in town!!

Google
Great food and prices! We ate here twice during our trip. I loved the beetroot goat cheese balls and the falafel. Delicious vegetarian choices! The service is fast and the ambiance is nice and chill. Will eat there again for sure!

Ben Maynard

Google
Absolutely phenomenal food! The staff was really friendly, had a great environment with music and décor. Their balls are extremely tasty and the hummus is even better. A must try!

Google
Service was very friendly and I had some gluten-free options. Whst I picked was delicious and you would think that you wouldn't be full after 3 balls but believe me, those things are quite filling! :) [just wished those chocolate balls everyone raves about would have been gluten-free also]. Be careful what streets you take to get there... Try and stick to busy, lighted streets.

Yelp
Warm people... great food. Small place.. you need to come early to eat. I will recommend it for sure.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite spots in Barcelona. It's a perfect place for a quick bite to eat or a sit down dinner. It is a very clean and modern restaurant. Since the kitchen is open you can watch the staff cooking, which is always a treat to see the chefs hard at work. They offer a tapa, pita and plate option. I tried both the pita and plate. The food was always fresh and full of flavor. It might not be the most exciting place in Barcelona but they serve great food! Great food and great service in Barcelona!
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly not that impressed. A Tu Bola makes meatballs. You can get one meatball as a tapa, two in a pita, or three on a plate. I went with a pita that was "chicken Caribbean style." As I ate it, I thought it was fine. Nothing mindblowing. Your basic, solid street food. I know my fellow Yelpers are doing cartwheels, but maybe they don't get out much. A Tu Bola is a tiny restaurant and they get points for allowing takeout, which can be hard to find in a town of slow tapas. If I were in a hurry for food, I might return, but I think you can do a lot better in Barcelona.

Yelp
I was looking for a good place for a quick dinner without being forced to make a reservation in advance. And I found it here. A Tu Bola is amazing. It's quite small, but people are not staying too long there. So a good chance to get a seat soon. They offer a mix from Mediterranean kitchen with some Arabic elements. Meat balls with a big variety of sorts, side dishes and great desserts. Homemade lemonade is super. Prices are great. Overall: service, food and location anew great. Should go there!

Yelp
This place was incredible! If you want fresh healthy contemporary food do yourself a favor and come here. Chef was amazing! Will definitely be coming back!!!

Yelp
Located in Barcelona near Rambla del Raval, a foodie would truly enjoy the culinary delights at A Tu Bola. As each course came to our table in the little restaurant, we were in amazement with each bite. For starters, we ordered the Fried Pita Bread with Tzatziki, and the Apple Coleslaw. Both were delicious. For our main dish, I ordered the Mexican Pork meatballs, and my wife ordered the Asian Chicken meatballs. So tasty. We will both return during our stay in Barcelona.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended on one of Barcelona's tourism sites. I made sure that we didn't leave this beautiful city without trying this place. The restaurant is located in the Raval neighborhood located a few blocks from La Rambla. The restaurant is clean, modern, and very small. We arrived at 1:30 pm, a few minutes after they opened. There menu covers several cuisines of meatballs. I had the Caribbean chicken meatball pita with their delicious sauce. Husband had the trio of meatballs with salsa de tomate con guiso de merguez and potato puree, and also the meatball with calabacines salteados y tzatziki. Wow is an understatement! The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best we had in Europe! I don't know what they add to those meatballs to make them taste like a delicacy, but it's working. Barcelona has a lot of delicious places to eat. It was no accident that this tiny powerhouse made it to the top of the list of recommended places to dine. Absolutely delicious food and so reasonable. It's off of the beaten path, but well worth a visit.

Yelp
A Tu Bola was a very nice surprise in the side streets of the gothic quarter. The hummus was excellent but far too much hummus for one pita. I would recommend ordering an extra pita for the euro if you don't want to fork hummus into your mouth. The meatball pita and Caribbean chicken over potatoes were excellent and packed with flavor. Both combined the expected flavors of chicken (or Italian meatballs) with a light salsa and tzatziki. The pita (2 balls) was plenty of food for me and the plate (3 balls) was too much food for my friend. Overall an excellent and inexpensive meal. Fair warning: the lemonade is bitter!

Yelp
Decently priced and delicious food. I tried the special and it had a hint of wasabi. It was quite good. My friends tried Mediterranean food, and they loved the flavors as well. This is a great place for quick lunch. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Such a cute small restaurant! Hummus, pita, and bread was amazing! My boyfriend got the French beef plate which was very flavorful. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Really tasty balls of various types either served in a plate with a side such as salad or mashed potato, or what I got which were balls in pita with salad and sauce on top. I really enjoyed both the Moroccan meatball pita and the falafel pita, accompanied by a little cup of pickled veggies. Along with a super tart lemonade the total bill was $7.50 euro. Service and food prep done by young friendly staff and you can watch them prep the food in the open kitchen.

Yelp
I would give this place 3.5 stars. It wasn't a bad experience but also wasn't the best. Very unique concept and a cute small restaurant with an open kitchen in the middle. Staff were friendly. They give you a small container of pickled veggies I had the chicken meatballs with asian/wasabi salat for $11. The taste was good. Seasoning and spices on the salad were good. The meatballs were also ok. I'd prefer them more toasted and grilled to bring out extra flavors. The presentation of my plate was a bit underwhelming. I had to bring the meatballs on top for the picture so it would look like a meatball dish. They were buried in the salad. My counterpart got the pita with meatballs. Next time I'd prefer that because they have good bread. I find their plates with four meatballs are slightly costly = €11. In my opinion, they should be like €9-€10

Yelp
This was a spot tucked away in the city. Small but the food was great. I opted to get my order to go. I had the falafel on pita and hummus. Made fresh and I could definitely tell. Great spot and they're open late.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I had more stars!! My God! This place is phenomenal! Got the Mexican meatballs and the Moroccan meatballs both were fantastic! Great seasoning, tender, good cook on the balls! Get the potatoes too!! Sooooo good!

Gayle J.

Yelp
Wow! Delicious and lots of choice. I had the green falafel with hummus and my son had Caribbean chicken balls placed on mashed potatoes and pineapple. Reasonable prices and a short walk from pricier restaurants on La Rambla. Highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
OMG! This place is amazing...probably the absolute best food I've eaten You might think it sounds far fetched but we ordered the WHOLE menu My husband loved it also and we just kept eating and eating...we only posted a couple of pictures because we ate them before we remembered to take a picture. Thank you A TU BOLA for this amazing cuisine experience! Great place for foodies and chefs extraordinaires!
google avatar

Matt K.

Yelp
Great little restaurant in Barcelona. If you can I'd sit by the door or at the back under the A/C. The menu is easy to understand with all the different ball options. I highly recommend the Mexican Pork with Fried Polenta and the Apple Coleslaw is a great accompaniment for any balls. Enjoy getting you lips around several different balls!! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming to us.
google avatar

Rainer H.

Yelp
Small place, good food, great service. Definitely a place to check out! We had a large plate with 4 balls and an marrocan pita. The food was very tasty. The prices were great. Also try the homemade lemonade. I will go there again!
google avatar

Rochelle L.

Yelp
Probably the best tapas restaurant in Barcelona! Very affordable and good! Although only their entrees are worth getting. I'm not a bitter chocolate lover, so their choco ball was not my taste. But overall, good food! Will be back to eat here again.

Yelp
Great little place with nice Tapas and amazing collection of beers from all around the world. If you like dark beers, the Goliath is a must.
google avatar

Eugene C.

Yelp
This place was okay, but didn't warrant 4-5 stars. The specialty here is meatballs of all different kinds. Unfortunately, there is no option to mix and match different meatballs. To me, this would have made perfect sense. But forced to choose, I chose the beef meatball pita. Basically, it was a Mediterranean burger with goat cheese and salsa. The meatball was kind of chewy, more of the texture of a burger in ball form. I had the lemonade as part of the combo, and it tasted really watered down.
google avatar

Marcus M.

Yelp
Went here because we heard so much about this place so we decided to try it out. The food had alot of flavor, but i personally just expected more from this place. A good spot for lunch tho. Not a filler upper.
google avatar

Jacquie P.

Yelp
This was by far one of my favorites in Barcelona. It always tasted fresh, the flavors were amazing and the quality of the food was great. It's small and requires patience during busy hours but it's totally worth it.

Lily B.

Yelp
Super good food and they have vegan options!!! Also the house lemonade is perfect. Not to sweet or too sour. I'm glad it's down the street from where I'm staying. Will be back to try the other options
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Wow. Legit so amazing. Great options, whether you're vegan, vegetarian or not. We had the spicy shrimp + cauliflower, Asian chicken with delicious wasabi dressing, and the falafel balls. It was all seriously fresh, flavors were balanced and on point. The roasted potatoes were bomb. You have to try this spot after shopping the area. We definitely recommend.

Yelp
Delicious! We popped in here after a long day of walking El Gotic and La Rambla, and it hit the spot. Reasonably priced and flavorful, it was just what we needed to get us over the jet lag hump for a late lunch! My hubby and I each got a plate combo, he the beef and I the falafel. The portions are large, we could have shared one! I'm half we didn't, though, because we got to sample both. We also got the tzatziki starter, which came with awesome fresh fried and salted pita chips. Finally we each received a chocolate ball (fabulous) and bottle of water, for a very reasonable €24. It's a little small, but service was efficient and friendly. Not sure what their lunchtime traffic is, but I'm willing to seek this out on this trip or a future one!
google avatar

Marine B.

Yelp
It is actually pretty good! We had a classic beef one and a Mexican one, and both were delicious. Two downsides: the place itself is not great to eat in (it was quite empty when we went, which was a bit awkward) and if you want to try several flavors, you cannot order the 2- or 3-bola portions (which are cheaper than 2x1 or 3x1).
google avatar

Ting B.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite restaurant stops in Barcelona. The chicken meatballs and the veggie pockets were so fresh, delicious and full of vibrant flavors. If I visit Barcelona again, I would make sure to visit this restaurant again. The owners were super gracious and humble about the quality of their entrees! Five stars!!!
google avatar

TC W.

Yelp
This is one of the best places I ate in Barcelona. We basically told the chef to cook us up whatever he felt we should try and he did so with a smile. I'm pretty sure most of the items on the menu are amazeballs. I told a friend that he had to try this place when he visited which he didn't and I laughed at him. Sucker. Best food I had all 2015.
google avatar

Allie K.

Yelp
Pretty good! Wouldn't say it wowed me like some of the others but it might just be what I ordered! I got the Caribbean style chicken balls and had some of my friends sweet potato balls which were better than mine but still not mind boggling. However! Super great service hence the 4 stars.
google avatar

Nathan J.

Yelp
This place is like sucking juicy nectar from a vegans titty. So good, so fresh. Also very cheap. Great place for lunch but it doesn't open till 1:00.
google avatar

Pedro G.

Yelp
Very good stuff! The falafel was crunchy and tasty. The salad was fresh and the prices were low. Good customer service too.
google avatar

Yelp
One word: amazeballs! Charming little hole-in-the-wall. Pick from 7 types of balls - beef, pork, chicken, Asian chicken, shrimp, chickpea, or sweet potato - in one of 3 styles - tapa (1 ball), pita (2), or plate (3). You cannot mix and match within a single style; so, two of us ordered three pitas to try different flavors. Pork was my favorite - would have loved it with the chicken preparation which included grilled pineapple. Still, every bite was just as delicious as the next. We didn't eat all of the pita, but it was so fluffy, perfect for soaking up a tangy green sauce. For dessert, rich, dark chocolate truffle balls! We were among a few others there at closing who lucked out when the chef pulled out his house made limoncello and shared a round with us all. Can't wait to go back and try the rest!
google avatar

Carrie C.

Yelp
Ordered to go for two adults and two kids. Spent only 33 USD. Their sauce is amazing to go with the meat ball and pita bread. Even my four year old finished up a whole sandwich.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
You really want these balls in your mouth. It's a tiny and simple but simply delicious and affordable place. The balls are fantastic, especially we love the sweet potatoes bomba-croqueta, the pork meatball, and the beef meatball. All comes with a taziki style sauce and tasty mini buns. Good hummus to share too. Two or three balls is enough per person or part of a larger Raval tapas tour. A great cheap find!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
This is a really cool place, and the food was terrific. It's quite cramped, not a lot of seating, so take out to nearby common area may be a good idea. Service bogged down when it got full, but the chef kept cranking out the delightful ball dishes in a timely manner. We would definitely eat there again if we go to that neighborhood again.
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
This place was cozy, somewhat novel, and the food was pretty good. But couldn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons: already have been to a restaurant in NYC that did this concept better, service was okay but not really the warmest and friendliest, nothing on the menu was truly outstanding. Not bad, but not great.
google avatar

Anthony N Chrystine P.

Yelp
Excellent food!! We tried the beef and Mexican meatballs; they both come with some sort of potato based side dish. They have menus printed in both English and Spanish which was nice. we went in mid Sept so currently they only accept cash payments. Portions were perfect and you can pick how much you want. We got 2 of the special combo which is a plate (3 meatballs plus a side), a water/lemonade, and chocolate ball dessert for 9,50 euro. The plate was very filling but it looks like they added another option for 4 meatballs if you're really hungry. Seating is a little limited so you might want to catch them early on before the dinner crowd.

Kurniati K.

Yelp
Its a small place, but comfortable and lively. Great appetizer (hummus), one of the best I've ever tasted. All the food served were warm, a plus. The meatball dishes are great, good combination of sides with the choice of meatballs. Price wise, its a great deal for the food quality!
google avatar

Jessie M.

Yelp
We poked our heads into this small off the beaten path, tapas bar and weren't not disappointed. At first we were a little disappointed with the limited menu (primarily different versions of meatballs) (hence the name) however they were made fresh right I. Front of us and wow they were delicious. Do yourself a solid and swing in here for a quick bite.
google avatar

Kristi J.

Yelp
WOW.....What surprise! You really don't want to miss out on this place while you're in Barcelona! AMAZING....Every single bite! So fresh and delish! I ordered the Asian Chicken balls and my husband ordered the Pork Mexican balls! Both were out of this world! One of our best meals since visiting the hustle & bustle city of Barcelona! Check A Tu Bola out! You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Damien A.

Yelp
I usually don't post bad reviews but seriously this is not right. I asked for a Mexican pork pita and it was full of coriander which unfortunately I can't eat. I felt bad complaining about it but I would just have left it there so I asked the chef if I could have another pita. He said yes but he clearly looked upset. The pita he gave me was spicy as hell and honestly had a terrible taste just to get back at me for asking nicely to get another pita. It was clearly made on purpose because he was upset. I mean the restaurant is fine but respect your customers a little bit and don't hold a grudge like a baby.
google avatar

Rayna O.

Yelp
Currently sitting here eating one of the best pita sandwiches I've ever had! I loved the atmosphere, they had English menus and the staff was all very friendly. Would definitely come back if I was in the area.
google avatar

Lindy L.

Yelp
The pork with tomatoes selection is a DREAM! I suggest you try a few, atleast one with the deliciously soft pita but others without since it can get bread-heavy.
google avatar

Alexander G.

Yelp
Great place to grab a quick lunch! Highly recommend the 6.50€ pita+drink. Awesome value for money, english speaking staff and cool venue. The pita with meat was delicious and i'll make sure to go back before i leave Barcelona!
google avatar

Nikola C.

Yelp
Truly a fantastic hangout to get some very specific tapas. I really loved the meatballs (asian style chicken was my favourite; chickpea least favourite). Prices were very reasonable and the rose quite tasty. This is really a place you would never find without Yelp.
google avatar

Carlotta H.

Yelp
The food is great and delicious. It is quickly on the table and doesn't cost much money. It is a great place if you want to eat some street food quickly. I especially liked the classic balls, which was served with mashed potatoes and a tomato sauce. I think anyone who likes meat or chicken to come and try it out.
google avatar

Marcus W.

Yelp
Awesome food, great atmosphere. Try the sweet potato balls! Sweet, creamy & crispy. Incredibly tasty. Shira has created a special place, definitely check it out.

Steven K.

Yelp
Food (5 Stars) - They serve about 8 different type of meatball served mainly on a pita bread like a sandwich or on a plat with coleslaw+green apple, which was quite interesting. You get 3 meatballs for the plate and 2 for pita. The downside is you can only choose 1 flavor out of many of their selections. I wish I coulda tried more. Sweet potato one was not that impressive and lacks definite taste. The Mexican style one was pretty good with enough meaty and spicy taste to stimulate your bud. Service (4 Stars) - The female cook seemed a little irritated by my initial presence because I couldn't speak Spanish or some other odd reason; however, she quickly got really friendly (maybe she was having a bad day and is acting professional?). If you are sitting inside the restaurant the bar around the cooking area is just a turnaway to grab the food. Convenient and fun! Ambiance (4 Stars) - Cute snacky bar like setting. Does not accomodate large group. I think there were only one or two big table for 4 ppl and rest were just standing bar chair surrounding the walls.
