A View of the Lake Bed & Breakfast

B&B was great. Beautiful view, room/beds were comfy and breakfast amazing. Steve and Chrissy were warm, friendly hosts that made you feel right at home. Location is perfect 10 minutes from downtown and close to wine country. Would highly recommend.

As someone who has always been a bit hesitant to stay at a Bed and Breakfast while travelling, I can't speak well enough of my short trip here, in January of 2025.||First, the location is great. It's roughly ~20 min from airport, and ~10 from lots of downtown attractions. The drive is an easy one, as well, well lit at night and easy to navigate.||The views, as well, are amazing. I had the Grand View room, and it lived up to that name. Views from the main floor are great as well - the deck was a good place to sip coffee (which you'll find waiting downstairs each morning), as well as to sit and catch up on work (or read, etc).||I stayed for two nights, and had a chance to enjoy two breakfasts. Both were accompanied by two varieties of fresh juice and coffee. The proprietor, Steve, is also a true chef, worthy of the title - even the simple stuff, like scrambled eggs, were among the best I've had. But served alongside oven roasted bacon, freshly made banana bread with toffee strup, fruit and yogurt.. I ate at some great restaurants during my trip, and those breakfasts still stand out as the best meals during my short vacation.||Everything was spotless, as well. Hiddens spots down by furniture feet, small out of the way ledges and light fixtures - not a fleck of dust. Bathrooms spotless as well - not so much as a water spot to be found.||I was there during a couple of fairly mild winter days, and the heat level in my room (and throughout the property), was comfortable (and had heated bathroom floors).

Only sorry we hadn't more time to stay and enjoy this beautiful house and setting. Lovely view of the lake and room was large and beautiful ❤️ Our host, Steve was warm and welcoming and gave us good recommendations for dinner. Thank you Phil and Tina

This is an amazing place, great location, lovely host and comfi beds.||Steve and his wife are so kind and welcoming. They have great tips if ypur are looking to do some fun stuff in the area. ||My husband and I loved the B&B and would defenitely stay again.

We cannot recommend Steve and Chrissy’s place enough, from start to finish it was excellent! ||The location of the house is fantastic with a lovely view of the downtown area of Kelowna and the lake. ||We had the Lakeview Room, which was stunning and incredibly comfortable, impeccably clean with a lovely view. ||Steve and Chrissy were welcoming, informative and gave good recommendations of things to do while we stayed with them. Chrissy alleviated any concerns we had pre-arrival with thorough, timely and informative communication.||Steve cooked a phenomenal breakfast for us on both days, served on their veranda with a view of the lake. Each time, it was three courses of locally sourced and fantastically prepared ingredients with plenty of tea, coffee and juices to drink.

This is a b and b that beats most 5 star hotels. Our room was beautiful and the view stunning. Steve welcomed us personally and made us feel at home. The breakfast wad just fabulous- far more than I would normally eat but too good to leave. We had the main suite with huge windows and a jacuzzi bath overlooking Lake Okanangan. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bed linen lovely. This has to be the best place to stay in Kelowna.

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights with Chrissy and Steve at “A view at a lake” (room: Grand View Hotel). Friendliness, cleanliness, location, communication and service were impeccable all round and we can highly recommend the B&B! We would particularly like to emphasize the magnificent 3-course breakfast, which tasted great on the terrace with a fantastic view of the lake. A great few days at Steve and Christie’s wonderful B&B. We had the lake view suite, which was enormous and luxurious with everything you needed. Fab breakfasts that set us up for a full day touring and wine tasting! Incredible views and some top tips from our hosts.

First of all it should be corrected to read "Horizon" as the street location. This B&B is one of the best we have ever visited. We spent 6 days here and have no complaints. The Home is attractive, the Bedrooms large and comfortable, the views are outstanding, and the breakfasts are gourmet. Very accommodating Hosts. We would highly recommend "A View of the Lake B&B." PS. This area of Canada is in the wine country. Many tasting wineries.

It is difficult to add more to the previous accolades. Probably the best B & B that I have stayed at in North America or Europe. The amazing setting and view from the open breakfast patio is superb and if the weather is inclement then one can eat inside. The West Kelowna mountainside location is great for being away from the commercial activities and bustling thoroughfares of Kelowna itself which is just a 10 minute drive away. Easy access to three or four high profile wineries also on this side of the lake is a bonus. The gourmet three course breakfast allows one to miss lunch if so inclined. The very affable hosts will provide key information for dining and places of interest. Met some interesting and friendly fellow guests and spent much time at breakfast exchanging travel stories. It appears they have many repeat guests which speaks for itself.

A glorious place to stay. The rooms are beautiful with breathtaking views. Comfortable settings in the colors and decor. A few days here and one is refreshed and ready to continue your vacation. The hosts, Steve and Krissy make your stay a true" experience". Oh and did I mention the breakfast? Steve is an executive chef. Serves three course breakfast that is masterful in its presence and taste. Would return here for the demonstration cooking events that are held at the B&B. Hosts are lively and energetic people who enjoy meeting and greeting guests.
