We had stayed in another bed-and-breakfast in the King William district last year, and fell in love with the beautiful, charming historic area and it's close proximity to the Riverwalk. We decided to try a different place this time in the spirit of discovering new places, and we are so grateful that we did. ||||Our room was large and beautifully furnished with lovely antiques and artwork. Deb's complimentary breakfasts were delicious and healthy. The hosts' were attentive and helpful with suggestions on great restaurants and Kit went well over-and-above aiding us with another matter. Their love of animals was also apparent. We absolutely adored the place and owners and will definitely be returning next fall. We highly recommend this haven in the heart of King William.

We had an amazing time here. We stayed a weekend and were amazed from the beginning. The room felt cozy yet modern. It was super spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had the continental breakfast which included juice, coffee, yogurt, muffin, and fresh fruit. They had plenty of parking. It was a really romantic stay and their proximity to downtown attractions made it so much better, we were able to save parking with it and we loved walking through the city getting to see and get to know so much more. We fully recommend this place and will definitely come back to it next time we visit S.A.

We recently stayed at this cute BnB for the second time. The location is excellent: walking distance to the Riverwalk, in the historic King William neighborhood with local pubs and restaurants nearby, and just a short ride from the Pearl. The outside is charming and well-maintained. I would rate it five stars, but the rooms are feeling a little need for TLC since our last stay a few years ago. It still felt clean, and we enjoyed our stay. We will stay again, and I recommend it, just not a 5-star stay.

My husband and I had a little getaway from Houston. We decided to try a b&b, since we never had. Came across this one that was close to downtown San Antonio which was great! A 3 minute car ride and a 15 minute walk. We loved that we were close yet far enough that it was still peaceful and quiet. Loved how cute the room was and loved that we had our own entrance in the back. The room was a great size! Owners were nice. Only got to meet them a few times due to COVID but every encounter was great. There were lots of cats around the property, which I loved because I’m a cat person. The only reason I’ll give it a 4 star rate is because the bed was pretty uncomfortable. We just turned all night and didn’t really get a good nights sleep while we were there. Also it was pretty hot during the night and hotter in the day. So it made it harder to sleep comfortably. We like our house temp to be at 70 degrees, and it felt like it was around 76 degrees in the room.

Just returned from another fabulous outing in my former (adopted) hometown of San Antonio, and stayed four nights in this charming bed-and-breakfast in the heart of the historic and beautiful King William district. The room was large, had a very comfortable bed/bedding, and had a large bathroom with a garden tub. The furnishings and artwork were perfect for the room. Both hosts'/owners' were wonderful and accommodating. The light breakfasts (fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt) were perfect because I was there for all my favorite restaurants and didn't want to fill up before heading out to satiate my longings for highly anticipated fare. The home is walking distance to the riverwalk and the countless things to do there. We loved walking around to see the many spectacular homes in the King William area and their gorgeous architecture. I highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast to others contemplating a stay or visit to San Antonio. We will definitely be returning next fall to stay here AGAIN! Thanks for ALL, Deb and Kit. You helped make our return visit a joy! I highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast to others

We stayed overnight in San Antonio for the State UIL marching contest. We were wanting to avoid the hotels as we knew from a past experience they would be full of high school kids with band. This was the perfect spot. The room was nice and comfy. We were only there one night but enjoyed our stay and had a restful and peaceful sleep. The location is within walking distance of a number of places to eat including one late night spot just a block over. Was an easy walk from there to the Alamodome and the River Walk. We took an Uber back from the dome at night just because we were tired but it was only a $6 ride. Worth every penny not to have to hassle with parking at the Alamodome or downtown. We would for sure stay here again.

We spent four nights here. The room was spacious and comfortable. Two sinks in the bathroom! We don't even have that at home. There was space for dining plus a desk. We got to try out a chaise longue. And the seating on the porch outside was lovely. We also enjoyed the shy cats and friendly dogs. Nice neighborhood too. Lots of old houses, a handful of restaurants, and easy walking distance to downtown including the Alamo and River Walk.

We had such a nice stay at A Yellow Rose B&B. The location was perfect for a good walk to the Riverwalk, The Saga light show at St. Fernando, and the Alamo. We chose A Yellow Rose per recommendation from our friends, and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the Magnolia room and it was very comfortable. There were lots of local restaurants within walking distance for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You are right in the King Williams District and can stroll and enjoy the magnificent homes.

Yelp
We made reservations here in order to spend 4 nights in San Antonio to visit Lacklund Air Force base for our son's BMT graduation. We SOOOO happy we chose this B&B. We found it online while searching for anyplace to stay. We stumbled upon this one based on price and location. Since we've never been to San Antonio we had no idea where to stay. We took a chance and are so glad we did. Deb called us after we inquired into availability and informed us we would be in a good spot and that Lacklund families stay there all the time. When we arrived we noted the historic and beautiful neighborhood the home is in. Very safe and easy parking. We checked in and the Blue Bonnet room was very nice. The room was clean and good sized. The fridge was stocked with juice, pop and coffee. We did not take advantage of the breakfast since we were gone early each day and home late. During the stay we were able to walk to the riverwalk each night with no issues. It's only about five blocks away and easily walkable. We loved the downtown riverwalk, bars and eateries. We obviously drove to the Air Force base each day and it is only about 15 minutes away. Very easy to get on the freeway and make it there quickly. We spent one day on base and three days on a town pass with our son. We caught a Rangers baseball game and a Spurs basketball game. We had an awesome time in San Antonio and loved the city. The Yellow Rose (Deb) made this such an enjoyable stay we will definitely recommend and return in the future. Oh, and the price was better than the hotels and other B&B's in the area. Location, location, location and price, price, price. You will be happy you stayed. Thanks Deb.

Yelp
I stayed a couple of nights here and it was so pleasant. Located in the Historic King William District, the neighborhood is beautiful in itself with all the pretty historic houses and greenery giving it that rich and comfortable feel. A Yellow Rose is beautiful in and out. I stayed in the Magnolia Room and it was SO spacious! I felt like a queen throughout my stay -- and that's without having the breakfast! delivered to my door I usually rush out the door and don't allow myself time for breakfast (bad, I know). The doors open to outside, so it's an added sense of privacy. There was even a CD player with some CDs (and that's where I got my first taste of Elvis Costello. Yay!). Just loads of amenities. I can't wait to go back; it really was an enchanting stay. :)

Yelp
My friend & I stayed here last weekend for a most enjoyable getaway. It's cozy, clean, well-appointed & has a great appealing funk factor. Located on a lovely, quiet street that's near a lot of local action but not IN it, it proved to be a wonderful venue. The owners were a friendly, low-key presence. Delicious light breakfasts were provided in the room, which was a treat. Excellent bedding as well. Many thanks & highest recommendation!

Yelp
Stayed here with my husband and 20 month old and had a great stay. It's located in the historic district but is a short distance from the river walk, downtown, and the pearl. The owners only allow kids to stay in the carriage house suite and it was perfect ( no tub but the kiddo enjoyed his first shower experience!) it's also two blocks from the river which has a path you can follow north or south.

Yelp
As a rule, I usually only review places that I like and I want people to visit (you can look at my other yelp reviews). Occasionally I run across terrible customer service...very rarely actually, we do live in the south right? I booked 1 nights stay at this bed and breakfast. As we were walking to our room the owner came out, took a look at our 4 yr old and said no kids allowed, that it was stated on the website (pretty sure I would have caught that...I understand no kids policy). In a state of shock we said ok and asked if our son could use the bathroom...the lovely owner said NO immediately. Wow, never had that happen before... I have also scoured their website to look for the "No kids allowed"...can't find it. Won't let a child use the bathroom, I would rather spend my money ANYWHERE but YELLOW ROSE. Does not deserve any stars!

Yelp
We were absolutely delighted with our stay in this lovely B&B. Our room had lots of space and was well appointed. Our hosts Deb and Kit were wonderful; they were very accommodating, and told us several times to let them know if we needed anything. The B&B is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood, and I took the opportunity to do a walking tour, which was a pleasant thing to do on a cool January morning. While I was doing that, my husband walked over to the Alamo. Downtown San Antonio is within easy walking distance, which is another plus. I would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting San Antonio and want to be in the downtown area.

Yelp
Our stay at the Yellow Rose was fantastic. From our checkin with the proprietors until we checked out everything was great. It was located in a great historic area less than a 10 minute walk from the downtown and Riverwalk but nice and quiet at night. We were also right near the river walk trail and found our way down to bike ride. We fell in love with the outdoor bar down the street "The Friendly Spot" where we found great beer choices and could watch sports and movies on their projector all day. We also really enjoyed our breakfasts at Tito's and Mad Hatter's right down the block. It was also quite convenient for walking to the riverwalk and hemisfair park. The room itself was fantastic. It really felt homey with the chaise chairs and arge four post bed. Everything was super clean and though we forgot to book the actual breakfast, we enjoyed the provided drinks and snacks. The neighborhood was also great as it was very quiet at night. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and always seemed to be around the property, but not in any way infringing on your privacy. I also really liked their 4 dogs, all of which they had rescued locally. A Yellow Rose is a wonderful B&B in a lovely district where you can either spend a lovely night in with some wine and feel at home, or a convenient base for venturing out into the town. Thank you again for making out trip so wonderful!

Yelp
We enjoyed our short stay. Very peaceful area and close to all the action. Our host was very polite and attentive. Breakfast was delicious too. We were served pancakes, sausage, yogurt topped with almond slivers, and a fresh baked bread loaf. Most of our Uber & Lyft trips were about $5 to $6. When we didn't take an Uber, we took a 10-15 minute walk to see the beautiful river walk. We could have taken a shorter walk, but we took the streets to get to the busier part of the river. We will be back at the Yellow Rose if San Antonio is on our mind.

Yelp
I spent a few nights at the lovely Yellow Rose B&B when I came to San Antonio for a conference at the convention center. While it wasn't as convenient to my busy conference as staying at a downtown hotel it was so much quieter and very relaxing. The owners were close by in case I needed anything but not intrusive. I slept soundly in a beautiful 4 poster bed and had great breakfasts of fruit, yogurt and muffins. My only regret is that I only had 3 nights after my meetings so I didn't have time to do more exploring.

Yelp
I've stayed here several times throughout the last few years and wouldn't change a thing. Perfect location nestled in the heart of the King William Historic District, yet just a few blocks away from great restaurants, the River Walk, galleries, and downtown. Rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated without being fussy. Lots of thoughtful amenities like French press coffee, bottled juice and water in the fridge, bathrobes, etc. Love the private entrances and peaceful porches. Delicious breakfast delivered to your room if you choose that option. Deb and Kit are super helpful with local information and restaurant recommendations. Great value overall. Looking forward to my next stay!

Yelp
This place was perfect for our anniversary get away trip to San Antonio. I booked everything online prior to traveling which is convenient. You are able to choose from just coffee and juice, in room continental breakfast or breakfast delivery. We had the continental which was coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt and muffins. It was already placed in the mini fridge when we arrived and was restocked daily. Upon arriving they left a note telling us where our room would be. It is such a cute house and the area is just gorgeous. You are still close to the Riverwalk and you can walk there. It's about a 15 minute walk but it's not bad at all. There are many bike rental stands all around if you prefer that. The room was very clean and felt like home. Even though it isn't a hotel, it still feels very private and quiet. You come and go as you please and your car is right downstairs. The owners are so sweet and so are their dogs . You can tell they love the place and really keep it well maintained. I highly recommend this place. It is perfect for couples and you really do get your monies worth. We will more than likely stay here when we return to San Antonio.

Yelp
The owner is a real Peach. My wife booked a friday night stay with the Yellow Rose...informing them that we would be bringing our 4 year old son with us for the night...as we were checking in the owner informed us that the Yellow Rose did not accept children...my wife reminded the owner that we had advised her via email that we would have our son along for the trip...she turned us away...the real kicker is that she would not allow our toddler to use her restroom...WHAT ? I can understand that you do not allow kids and we can accept the confusion in the email thread...but you do not allow kids to use the bathroom...You are sure to have a fun time here...as long as you are not a child and have to go to the bathroom. We cannot find the NO KIDS ALLOWED on the website. I cannot go lower than one star...but if I could I would.
