Treat yourself to a visit to this working farm - home to some of South Africa's best wines. We stayed in the Stables cottage and the attention to every luxury detail spoke to my soul! Ice cold bottle of white wine in the fridge, fresh farm made sour dough bread, farm eggs, everything is such a spoil. The cottage is fitted with only the best linen, towels and kitchen appliances and has every amenity including an outdoor bath. High recommend to anyone wanting to "check out" of the city. Book a wine tasting while you are there.

We had a wine tasting aswell as a lunch here and we were so spoiled and impressed. We tasted about 6 wines and got a complimentary tasting of their homemade cherry. The winemaker gave us a small but informative explanation with each wine, and later on showed us the cellar. The staff and wine maker were so friendly and accommodating. The food we were served was better than a mother's home cooked meal, which means it was amazing. I am stunned by this hidden gem I have found today. Will definitely be back to enjoy more. This place makes u and your family feel at home.

Hidden gem. This is an authentic Swartland experience. Woodfired pizza - owner is hands on and such a nice guy! Friendly staff and great local wines, all from Kalmoesfontein. Quirky decor. Highly recommended! Try the Aspoestertjie Pizza.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Baden Horst farmhouses. I stayed here with my whole family and we rented several of the self catering villas/rooms on offer. Whichever accommodation you decide to rent, you won't be disappointed! From the moment you enter the farm, you'll love your stay here! All of the villas/rooms are renovated beautifully and decorated subtly. From bathroom amenities to the fresh bread, eggs and milk as well as the bottle of wine upon arrival are great touches. It was also great to explore the property, discover the different animals as well as hiking and fishing. If there's one thing I think could further improve, the experience is to have a mosquito net over each and every bed. Not only does this add to the coziness scale but it would also be useful given the flies/mosquitoes around.

We spent 2 very happy and comfortable nights in the Silo. Super bedlinen, well-stocked kitchen with every thing we needed and the same for the bathroom. Extra touches were farm milk, butter and bread plus lovely soaps and shampoo. Plunge pool a treat in the heat and outside braai has a wonderful view.

We had the most wonderful stay at AA Badenhorst September 2023. We'd been last year for a visit to the vineyard but were able to stay this time for a couple of nights. The accommodation was lovely, the wine fantastic and we also had a lovely lunch. Couldn't recommend this place more for a rustic and authentic experience of the wine country. Thanks so much!

i stayed in koringhuis on this farm while hiking the cape camino, with a group of 9 friends.|the house was exceptional, as we expected much less.|there was a swimming pool, wood-fired hot tub, luxurious bedding and towels, and the catered food was top notch. |we felt utterly spoilt and our every need catered for.

This family run farm 'wow's' me with every return visit. The vine yards are pristine yet the farm stead area has been kept in a beautiful rustic manner which makes the experience when wondering around to be delightful. Geese, chickens, pigs, horses, turkeys and rabbits...lovely wild and wonderful veggie gardens with old original pathways wind about the areas. Theoriginal buildings have been kept in place but are filled with stylish, high quality yet rustic decor and finishes which hold up the original integrity of farm living in a nostalgic way. The cottages have dreamy beds with plush linen, attention to detail, quality finishings, unique seating areas, pools and hang out spots. I look forward to my visits every time.
