Amazing food! Jain options (no onion, no garlic, and even more) possible. Very tasty food! Every dish ordered was good, less oil and fresh. Good to have a pure vegetarian restaurant with Jain options!

The menu looked really promising, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The thali was probably the worst we’ve ever tried. It’s unlimited in theory, but we couldn’t even get through what was served the first time. The food quality was very poor. The ambience does give off a traditional Indian vibe, but don’t let the menu fool you — it’s not worth it.

The 12€ all-you-can-eat buffet offers a variety of dishes that are fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic Indian spices. The variety is overwhelming in the best way—you’ll want to try a bit of everything! We started with their chaats from the à la carte menu, and the shevpuri and kachori were simply divine. Perfectly crispy, tangy, and bursting with flavor, these chaats alone were worth the visit. The highlight for us was the Mysore dosa—it was crispy on the outside, perfectly spiced on the inside, and downright comforting. To finish, we enjoyed their masala chai, which was the perfect balance of bold and refreshing. Whether you’re here for the buffet or à la carte, this place is an absolute must-visit for authentic Indian vegetarian food. Would definitely recommend this place. 🌟 Even 5/5 is an understatement! 🌟 This is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The flavors, the freshness, the authenticity—every bite feels like a celebration of Indian cuisine at its finest. We’ve tried Indian food in many parts of Europe, but nothing compares to what we had here. My husband and I just came from Luxembourg to have the food at Aahaar :) Each dish is prepared with such care, depth, and balance that you can taste the passion behind it. From the perfectly spiced curries to the Chapati and dessert everything was simply outstanding. The staff was warm and attentive. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Whether you’re Indian and missing home-cooked food or someone discovering Indian flavors for the first time—this place is a must-visit. Truly unforgettable! A huge respect to the owner—your dedication, warmth, and unwavering commitment to quality shine through in every bite. You’re not just serving food, you’re creating memories 👏👌😇🫶

The food is good, it gives you nostalgic home made food. Don't go with high hopes of fancy restaurant. If you are with family or kids and looking for home cooked style Indian meal this is the place to be in Antwerp.

I visited this pure vegetarian Restaurant on Friday evening for dinner and it was buffet food. Taste of food was not that good although there were 4 5 options of vegetables. Not happy with the taste of food.

A hidden gem for authentic Indian vegetarian food in Antwerp Aahar isn’t about flashy décor or fine ceramic cutlery — it’s about pure flavour, warm hospitality, and unbeatable value. The all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet is exceptional. The dishes rotate daily, so there’s always something new to try. The menu is short and confident — no unnecessary frills, just honest, delicious food that strikes a perfect balance: not too spicy, not too oily, and full of well-rounded flavour. Service is another strong point — the staff are polite, humble, and truly welcoming. What really stands out is that the place is completely vegetarian, which is rare in Europe, and yet it’s loved by a diverse crowd. I’ve seen many locals dining here regularly and clearly enjoying the food — proof that good food speaks for itself, regardless of culture or cuisine. If you're after ambience and tableware, look elsewhere. But if you're truly hungry and want satisfying, soulful Indian food without pretence, this place is a top choice — easily in my personal top five across Europe. I wish them a lot of success.

Excellent curries and chutneys. The buffet was reasonably priced and tasty and wasn't salty. We returned twice on the same day. If you're traveling with baggage and would like to see the city without it, you can go online to store your luggage here.
