Wanted to have the authentic taste of Bengali cuisine. Visited this place on suggestion of a friend who has lived in Kolkata in early 1990’s Food was classy, but since it is a high end restaurant, taste was a bit mild. But I liked it. We took the large veg and non veg thali. Portion was more than required. A bit of everything.

Located at the first floor of the Hotel. The food quality was excellent. Authentic Bengali dishes are prepared. The food tasted great. Ambiance was attractive with music at the background. I enjoyed the lunch here with my family.

On July 14, 2025, I was the Aaheli Restaurant. We ordered Coconut Water, Chicken Chops, Pulao, Cholar Dal, Fulko Luchi, Fish Kalia, and Kosha Mangsho, all of which were delicious. Specifically, the kosha mangsho, Fish Kalia, and Sweet Yoghurt had an amazing authentic Bengali flavour. The staff provided excellent service. I would like to thank my best chef, Soumyadip, and Aaheli Chef Sanat Chef for preparing authentic Bengali cuisine A special thank you to the outlet us two lovely service staff. And there was a network issue when I was paid, but the floor duty manager assisted me. Thank you, Floor Duty Manager. It was my birthday, and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner.

On 28th December 2025 my sister and I spent an afternoon at the Aheli Restaurant. We were there to celebrate my birthday and right from the point of table reservation the previous day, to the very end when the team performed a birthday song for me live, it was an amazingly beautiful experience. Each item in the thali we ordered was excellent in taste, flavour and presentation. The chhanar payesh was out of this world, the Basanti pulao was wonderful and the whole ambience transported us to a gastronomical dreamland from where it was rather difficult to return! Last but not the least, the complimentary birthday cake, with the antique sword, was just awesome. A big “Thank You” to Mr. Debasish Samanta and his team for making this a memorable day in my life.

We went for the Ilish utsob and loved all the Ilish dishes we had. The Ilish pulao is awesome. The Ilish fry is very tasty. The desert specially the rabri and shoktigorer lyandcha stole the show. Great food, great service and overall great experience

absolutely loved the food, ambiance and hospitality at Aaheli. This is one of the best places to relish an authentic Bengali dishes. The ingredients are fresh, the recipe is traditional passed down as a cooking legacy and the food is out of the world. It is lights and feels like home. We ordered the special mutton thali.
