Not the best, not the worst. I have visited on weeknights only. I have come here a couple of times, two years ago and again this year. Overall, very clean. There are a lot of wasps near the picnic tables which should probably have some wasp traps to reduce this issue. The cashier had almost no appreciation, and frankly, I didn’t feel welcomed/gratitude. I don’t ask for a lot, but common courtesy is a good thing. I had to instruct her not to crush the donuts which would have been damaged under the apples. Everything seems a bit more expensive than I think it should cost. Meat sticks, $12 way overpriced, sweaters $68, also high. I suppose it’s a bit touristy. The bratwurst wasn’t that flavorful. The coleslaw is a special kind that I think would be pretty good on it’s own. It takes a bit longer to get your order during the week. We arrived 1.5 hours before closing. I didn’t care for the cold cider. It is middling. Not tart, not remarkable. Apple fritter: uh, what apple? Good baking, maybe 4 tiny chunks of apple. I’m craving more apple flavor. For the kids, there is room to play in the grass. There are goats. There are grape vines to go see (don’t eat the grapes, please). For adults, weeknights are best. For kids, weekends are popular. Room for improvement, price, merchandising with better signage.

This place is quite large, but it’s best to arrive early if you want to secure parking. The store/barn offers a wide variety of apple-related items, and the prices are quite reasonable. There are also several goats outside, which add a fun touch to the visit, they’re very cute. I did notice that one of the goats appeared to have a runny nose, so hopefully it will be cared for properly.

Google
Great experience! Beautiful location, about multiple aches of beautifully cared for space. The owners are lovely people and the apples were yummy! Bought some maple syrup and peanut butter. The food truck wasn’t too good tho, wanted something more authentic.

Google
Plenty of parking & lots to do! We love the apple cider donuts & walking through the orchards. The hayride & kids wagon are a bit too pricey, and the you pick hours aren't always on the website clearly. But we always enjoy our trips and plan to go back each year!

Google
This is probably the saddest, most disappointing review I've ever given. I absolutely LOVED coming to Aamodt's as as kid. So many great family memories walking around the grounds, eating fresh baked warm apple pies, scoops of local ice cream, and the prices were very reasonable. But now, everything is extremely over priced--11 for a brat, 25 for a wax candle...wow. The piece of pie is now small and boxed, the ice cream was a from a Kemps plastic cup. Soooo Sad. At least I still have the wonderful memories of this place as a kid.

Google
We have been canceled twice for hot air balloon rides, $2000 not refundable. Went and picked up apples anyway not as tart and crisp that I love about Honeycrisps a bit disappointing. (Apples ok just not as expected) Then I bought 2 apple fritters at $3.75/ each. One was dry and tasteless the second one just tasted like grease…. Both thrown away. Sure hope we get up in the balloon…. Have heard from others they have been cancelled 3-4 times and end up giving up. Awful lot off money to not get the experience.

Google
You failed me. We came...no warm apple pie ala mode..."here's a cold slice, grab a scoop from the freezer". Fresh baked goods..."no, grab some pre-packaged donuts or cookies or pie". Coffee? "Nope". Who would want that with sweets?! The person behind the counter is just there for brats and hot dogs...and to look at her phone. Yep, that is exactly why I come out to the orchard. We have been coming out on our anniversary for 30+years. Might have to rethink that. I got a cider flight. The server was very friendly, but the cider was not great.

Google
It’s nice to walk around but the apples we picked are not sweet like in the other apple farms. They don’t have honey crisp or anything for us to pick except small green apples and we didn’t know that before buying the apple picking bag. Apple pies are 7$ per slice prepackaged. It feels like a money grab and it’s annoying when you’re constantly bombarded with unreasonable prices and low quality compared to other farms.

Yelp
The Apple Farm is the perfect activity for fall. It was fairly busy when we arrived but there is plenty of parking. There are quite a few stands throughout the farm offering wine, cider, and food. Along with the apple barn that has of course, apples and everything else fall flavored. I had an apple cider donut and am happy with the choice. Thor's Hard Cider was on site and the customer service was spectacular. They don't usually allow samples but being someone who doesn't get ciders often they allowed it. The cider was great! Highly recommend. For those of you that enjoy wine the Saint Croix Vineyards was onsite. The only downfall is that on a chilly day there is not much indoor seating and even outdoor seating was filling up fast at times.

Yelp
My favorite apple orchard! It's family friendly, dog friendly, good for a date and friendly outing Food: concession stands- brats, popcorn, meat and cheese, fresh pastries, jams, pies, donuts, cookies and more Drinks: *Alcoholic- Cider from Thor's (dry-sweet) and wine from St Croix Vineyards (reds, whites and rose) *NA- apple cider, water and more We got an apple fritter, turnover, apple crisp, wine flight and a cider flight. The pastries were delicious! You can build your own wine flight but the cider flight is premade and has 6 drinks from dry- sweet. I would prefer to build my own flight. Two of the ciders tasted flat and didn't have much flavor. Service was great! Activities: Express tractor ride, petting goats, cornhole, pick your own apples, board games to play in the winery, walking around the orchard/winery Parking: plenty of free parking in the grassy areas Bathroom: tons of outhouses, handicap accessible and diaper changing table, sinks to wash your hands *Bring a blanket in case it's chilly and if all of the tables are full, there are plenty of places to sit on the ground! Such a fun Fall activity!

Yelp
Get the apple pie... the whole one. You'll be glad you did. Limited apple availability now in November. But the cider is good!!! Then go get Thor hard cider. Yummy. Take it home too and enjoy while watching the Vikings implode.

Yelp
I was meeting my aunties for wine tasting before dinner. They were surprised there's a variety to choose from. This is located in the back of Aamodt apple farm, inside the Aamodt store there's a bar and counter to order the cider or you can do a flight to taste. We did 2 flights, both ranging from dry to sweet. Ginger fizz was pretty good. Order at the counter and then take the flights to a table of your choice. The store is huge, they have merchandise and goodies along the walls. Picnic benches in the middle, this felt like a self service vibe. Once we were done drinking, there were stations at the corners for garbage and dishes. They sell packs of ciders in the can to take home. Check out the events page for activities in the apple farm.

Yelp
Local ciders shops are not super popular in my town so when my friend raved nonstop about Aamodt's I was excited. The venue is gorgeous. It's almost like a giant barn but was a cozy feel to it. They also have a lot of land which would be nice in the summer. Since it was winter, we didn't venture out too much. There were many options to try. The 3 of us ended up splitting the flight which you get to pick between 5 or 6 different ciders. All but one was great. They have a jalapeño cider and I was curious so I tied it. It was not my cup of tea (or cider) but it's not a bad thing to have on the menu if you're adventurous.

Yelp
Apple Season! It's my local apple farm right here in the heart of Stillwater MN. If you're going during the fall season, lots of people and they all get there early. We arrived at 10:15 and the parking was already nuts. I have to say that it seems more organized this year vs years past and lots of more unique items to buy in the apple barn. At certain times of the year, they have pick your own apples too which is happening right now (this weekend). They have 2 small playsets for kids to play on. They have goats in a fenced off area. Lots of alcohol options (wine and cider) and na options too. We indulged in just regular cider and their honey crisp salsa and chips. It was unique but very tasty. They have a honey crisp express for kiddos but it wasn't running when we were there. Cute photo opps but it doesn't have as much other things to do compared to other apple orchards I've been too. We also purchased donuts and a honey lollipop in the shape of a bear.

Yelp
Had to come here on our first 40 degree day of the year! Got a flight and wonderful charcuterie board! We were the only people here due to it being early and not warm out. Our server was amazing and offered samples of cider to help us. This place is on the 2025 pub pass as well so come out to Stillwater and check it out!!

Yelp
We were rather disappointed. We went on a Friday around 2:00pm. Many young people sitting around with wine, hard cider and a few had brats. The store was smaller than I expected. We did not pick apples, so we selected apples in the store. They were good to pick from. Many gift shop items. Bakery goods were expensive. Some of the booths outside were not open on a Friday afternoon. It was much smaller than I thought it would be. We can say we have been there, not sure we would go back.

Yelp
I went here with a couple friends to hang out and enjoy the apple hotdogs and cider and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the hot dog was. It had an apple coleslaw topping, which I think could've used more apple, but the hot dog itself was really yummy! The ciders were great and they had sweeter and less sweet varieties to cater to different preferences. There's a winery on site too that has flights so that also seems like a really fun thing to do during a visit here!

Yelp
First time being at an apple orchard so I didn't know what to expect. It was Saturday and we got there right at open at 10am. It's all field parking and after we left, the lot appeared to be full and cars were driving around making their own parking spots. You can't pick your own apples on the weekends but we spotted some people with their own bags picking some. They had a large tractor and a kiddie tractor for a fun activity around the farm. They also had a small playground and some goats you could pet through a fence. The gift shop has some small treats like pies and cookies and there are brats and kettle corn outside. The hard cider was really good and we didn't have to wait in line. The picnic tables fill up fast so bring some chairs or blankets if you want to relax and eat there/ have a picnic. It seems like a "fall" thing to do in minnesota but I wasn't amused. Fairly boring for adults and more a quick stop if you want anything with apples in it. It is best to get there right at open because it gets very busy and lines get a little long.

Yelp
This apple orchard is my favorite in Minnesota! They have the cutest little barn store with lots of baked goodies and all the apples you could think. They have a couple goats on site too, the winery here is pretty good and they have the cider from thors. I always get the apple brat which is to die for! Please check this orchard out if you haven't already, you will not regret it.

Yelp
MA local MN classic apple orchard to visit allowing dogs! Bring your poochie if you can. This spot has been a favorite of mine to visit each season for the quaintness of the location as it definitely doesn't overwhelm. The parking can be wild as everyone parks where they feel fit on the grassy area. I recommend parking near the entry so that you can back out and exit during busy times. I also recommend going early in the morning to avoid the afternoon rush. The grounds are not super big and this orchard is a hit if you have small children as there is a playground, a couple of train rides and fields to run around in. For adults, there is mulled wine and an interior bar serving wine flights and beer. For all ages there are apple brats, cheese trays, apple salsa with chips, kettle corn, indoor market serving honey, everything apple, kitchen utensils and more. The best part about all the cashiers is that they are usually students fundraising tips to support local gymnastics, dance, etc. teaching them the importance of math and customer service. Lastly, I highly recommend doing the pick your own apples as you will purchase a bag and head to the trees to start the adventure. Enjoy!

Yelp
We came on a Saturday at 10AM to experience some fall fun. Parking is free, and there is no general admission fee, which is nice. The first thing I want to mention is that they do not do PYO on weekends. I knew this, but I figured there would be enough to do besides pick apples. They have a large store where you can buy apples, baked goods, and other treats and gifts. We purchased some sweet tango apples, a cookie, and some honey sticks. They have a winery, a cider booth, and several other booths with snacks and food. It was 10AM, so while I did have a cider flight that was delicious, it felt way too early to partake. I think I would have a much better experience if I came later in the day. I would love to experience PYO, too, but my work schedule did not allow it.

Tracey F.

Yelp
Not sure if it was just too early in the season, but I didn't get the whole "apple orchard" feel you get at other places. It felt just like a big apple store (with not a huge selection of apples) with not a lot else. Didn't seem like they had a pick your own, or if there was, it wasn't signed well. It was ar least cool to try some of the hard cider by Thor's, which was a highlight of the trip.

Nancy W.

Yelp
Expensive. More expensive than other orchards. Kids picked apples at a ridiculous price for a small bag. One choice of where to pick. Apples not very good. Nothing to do but walk around and spend money.
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
The brats this year tasted like puke not really sure where the apple flavor went.. There was also an odd "old fashioned" statue in the barn that seemed unusual to say the least.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Cute spot, but I was honestly expecting a bit more. I drove pretty far to see this place as I'd heard amazing things. The place itself is very nice. Very quaint and very well managed. Despite being busy, there were no lines anywhere (or if there were, they moved fast). The orchard is free to visit and park, which is awesome. I got some cider (of course) and it was very delicious. Also it came in a huge glass. It was perfect to sip as we walked around. As a pro-tip, there weren't many tables to sit at as to enjoy the area, although there was more than enough space for tables. So if I could recommend anything, it would be more seating! Or bring your owns chairs if you want to hang out hahah. I didn't want to just stand around, and there no were available tables, so we just kinda left after a bit of standing around lol. However if I could have ONE recommendation (full of recommendations today I guess) it would be the parking. The parking in the apple trees area needs to be one way movement. There is not room for two cars to pass (not really) and very little room to get out of the way when a car is coming at your car. I faced quite a bit of trouble trying to leave the lot due to people stuck trying to get around one another. Overall, I think this would be a great place to take your kids or go with a group. Lots of area for the kids to explore, and cider for you to enjoy!

Yelp
It was empty when I visited on New Years Even weekend. Staff was friendly. We just got done with a private sauna experience that is offered in the same main lot and it was fun to pop in and see what was here. If you like honey sticks you can find MANY specialty varieties here. Apple salsa, apple jam, maple syrup (if it is midwest it is here). Hard cider flights (paid $20 for one flight and that was plenty for the two of us). (THOR'S HARD CIDER) They had holiday deals going on too. Favorite cider we went home with was winter solstice and semi sweet (the original) very smooth and simple. I would recommend to my friends to stop in if they are going down to Stillwater for sure.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Our pubpass brought us to Thor's Hard Cider which is on the campus of the apple farm. I had no idea this place existed. It's beautiful. Apple trees all around. Tables set up in the parking lot for access to St Croix Vineyard and Thor's Apple Cider. We had our grand pup with us and dogs are very welcome here. I'm not a hard cider girls so I wasn't sure what to order. The bartender helped me through that and I opted for a more dry option with hints of cranapple. It was delicious. Very refreshing after an hour of hiking at Afton State Park. I also highly recommend the apple salsa. It would be nice if it came with homemade chips but, even so, the homemade salsa was unique and delicious! Loved this place. Can't wait to go back. I also bought a bottle of rose wine from the vineyard on my way out.

Yelp
It is strange going to an apple farm and not being able to collect your own apples but that's how it is here. You just go in the store and purchase. It's a very simple farm. There is a playground area setup for the kids by Rainbow playground. The truck takes the kids for a ride around the farm. You need to purchase a ticket. The store sells apples, fresh cider, pies and such. There is a food truck for food and a cider station. I have been to a few places before where they actually show you how fresh cider is made. That would have been a great experience. Or offer apple baking classes. But these are not offered here. It's very very simple. We just came to support a friend who was working.
google avatar

Ellie B.

Yelp
Very family and dog friendly place! Service was great and they have an expansive parking lot that is free. We enjoyed the Thor's Hard Cider flight, it was a great way to try the different flavors of cider that they offer. We also had the apple brats for lunch which were really good. We walked around the orchard, went in the shop, and got apple cider donuts. Highly recommend Aamodt's if you are looking for a cute fall date spot!
google avatar

Tony W.

Yelp
What a great day at the apple farm! The crisp air was perfect for some mulled wine and a flight of beer. Hayrides, slides for the kids and tones of apple food products! Can't wait to go back!

Sven L.

Yelp
It was just barely okay and it's expensive and whatever you do - don't buy their apple donuts. They are previously frozen and made by Rush city bakery. They were tasteless and not worth the effort to even eat them. Hot dogs we bought were fine but the wine we had was only meh. The sliced apples with carmel sauce was watery and bland. Pick your own small bag - maybe 10 or so apples was 15.00 dollars! More than a dollar per apple and they we just okay as well. Yeah, disappointing for sure. Not returning. There are much better apple farms around.
google avatar

Yelp
STOP!!! Why we have never been here before today I will never know! Thors is in Ammodts apple orchard which is amazing itself. Today we finally stopped by with our pub pass and we loved everything about it. The outdoor area is HUGE. Plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy while sipping on your cider. The guy pouring the drinks was SO friendly and helpful. My Husband got Ginger Fizz and I got the Norse Berry. They were very tasty and not nasty at all!!!! We also got apple donuts to take home. Beautiful grounds and wonderful drinks. They also have a small concession stand with apple brats etc!

Noah S.

Yelp
Super fun atmosphere, great for adults and familys. The food is really good but pricey. They charge you a credit card fee but don't pay cash?
google avatar

Brooke K.

Yelp
If you want to find an amazing apple orchard look no further. Aamodts Apple Farm has so much family friendly activities. My favorite part is that it is attached to St.Croix Vineyards so you get double the fun! Parking is so easy in between all the apple trees you will always find a spot. They have so much seating outside and food trucks with apple brats and kettle corn. I loved the hard cider flights with my favorite being the jalapeño cider. You can also have wine by the glass or mulled wine in fall. They have a hayride through the apple orchard and wine vineyards and a smaller fun ride for the younger kids with petting zoo. I loved the store that had homemade jam, turnovers, apple cider and my favorite - caramel apples!

eden v.

Yelp
Came all the way from Arizona with this place as one of my stops I walked in, saw what I needed to and immediately left. There's no food here, nothing was open except to buy wine and beer. I came here to enjoy tasty food and a fun atmosphere but all it was is people sitting around drinking alcohol....
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
My husband and I brought our two kiddos here on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was a bit chaotic. There were a ton of people and there is t an actual parking lot. You just kinda park in the grass wherever you can fit. There is a lot more parking near the "exit" (which you can also enter from). When you walk towards the main area, there are two buildings to the left and a couple stands to the right. On the left is St. Croix winery. We sampled their reds for $14. Also to the left is the store. The store has already picked apples for sale plus baked goods and some seasonal wares. To the right is a wine stand and Thor's Hard Cider. We got the $20 sample. You get some good pours with these. They were excellent! We really all but one of the samples. There's also a playground and tractor ride(need a ticket). There isn't much for seating. Most people just say on the ground, so I recommend bringing a picnic blanket. The atmosphere is chill and beautiful. As of now, pick your own is only M-F. Since we came in a Saturday, we just bought the already picked which were delicious! We will definitely come back here. It's fun for the kids but also the adults!

Yelp
What a beautiful space! I stopped by about an hour before close to check off another spot on our Sidewalk Dog passport. This one is local for me, so I saved it for a spontaneous trip. It was a gorgeous day for it! I got the Norse Berry. It was sweet but not cloying, an amazing cider! What really won me over was the ability to freely meander the vineyard and orchard. What gift to this area! On my way out, I picked up a caramel apple, some salted caramel apple cookies (OMG), and a bag of first kiss apples. Prices are a little high (it came to $24 for 3 apples, 6 cookies, and 1 caramel apple) but the product is amazing. Those cookies are my new favorite cookies.

Thommy C.

Yelp
Had such a great time visiting Aamodt's Apple. We walked around the orchard, where you can pick your own apples, visited their store and purchased some treats (apple turnovers, cider donuts and cookies). They have a great little homemade hard cider business as well - Thor's. It's pretty popular and worth a try if you are into ciders. We found a couple of nice chairs to relax in and enjoy our treats, while taking in the peaceful atmosphere we were surrounded by. They were getting ready for the weekend crowd, so our timing was great; as the said it gets packed on the weekends. We had great visit and will definitely return in the future.
google avatar

Kristina K.

Yelp
They no longer have the brat I was drooling all over in previous reviews. Due to COVID, they serve you a naked brat. You can get a side of sauerkraut served in a plastic container. Busy place on the weekend with a lot of fur babies (dogs).

Theresa P.

Yelp
The apple brats have endured shrinkflation. They actually fit inside the bun. That's never happened before. $8 each?! That's crackhead pricing. It was gone on 3 bites. WTH?! They were charging $12 for 4 tiny frozen brats. I will not be back with these price gouging practices. To top it all off, the brat tasted nothing like an apple. How can they get this so wrong and bad? I feel shortchanged after coming here. Meh. I used to like this place, but it feels like it's under new management.
google avatar

Trina V.

Yelp
Went as a group of 3 when apple picking season was over but we still had loads of fun. It's a great spot for those fall photos, but there is also a food area with hard cider flights and wine to sample and share and food snacks such as brats, popcorn, chips and salsa, etc. and corn hole boards to play. The gift shop is cute with the usual goodies you would find at an orchard- jams, pastries, apples etc. They also had a goat petting zoo and train ride for the kids.
google avatar

Yelp
Aamodts Apple Farm was a fun friend activity. We did wine sampling from Saint Croix Winery which is $6 for six decent size wine samples. I really enjoyed trying the wines, as I usually wouldn't go for the whites. I still enjoyed the rose and the red the most but it was a nice experience, and the gentleman running the sampling was nice and very informative. The dessert wine was a Raspberry infusion and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Definitely a great way to find out what you may like before buying. After sampling some wine I went over to Thor's Hard Cider taproom. I was excited as I have tried their El Thoro at every beer and cider fest I can! Thor's is ran by the Aamodts owners son's and you can find plenty of hard cider to try. I did a full flight which was 10 ciders. They have an award winning Dry Cran which was fantastic. I also really love the Cilantro Lime Jalapeno cider, and the hopette. There is definitely a cider for everyone if you are a cider person. We then continued over to their barn area to check out and got two pasties from the bakery. The caramel apple cookie, and the apple donut. The donut was nothing great but the cookie was freaking amazing. We decided to go apple picking and got a bag for $20. It was a successful day at the Apple Farm for sure!
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
We came here for a morning of apple picking, eating and wandering around the farm. We had a great time shopping and looking at all the nick-nacks. We got some food as well - they had a lot of baked goods as well as beers, etc. It was like a party atmosphere. My son loved looking at the animals they had as well as being able to run around the fields, etc. He also loved the mini train ride around the fields. We didn't actually pick any apples, but we had a wonderful time being outside and most of all our son had a blast. Also, it was very easy to get to from our home in the city, so it wasn't an odyssey getting there or getting home.

Yelp
I'm not from here but Apple orchards are a huge part of my life. My mom had been taking me to them since I was in middle school. Every fall I look forward to Apple picking. The apple picking here is good, but the apple barn and the "goodies" inside are not so good. The apple cider donuts I got tasted stale and very dry. Also had little to no apple flavor. The apple oatmeal cookie was probably the best thing we bought and tried, but again it was dry. The apple crisp is not crisp at all and doesn't have too many apples. We also got an apple fritter, it was bad but I was expecting more apple flavor. Some of the grocery store ones are better. My bf got the cup of apples with caramel and I really wish they would've used a more sour apple, but it was ok, he liked it. The last thing we tried was the apple cider which was absolutely awful. If way overloaded with some spice, and no it's not cinnamon. I wouldn't recommend the drive here. It's not worth it at all. Also, the staff just wasn't that friendly.

Yelp
Thank you Aamodt's for the wonderful pick-your-own apples adventure! Our toddler had the best time-she kept all of us adults busy in the orchard! We bought the $20 bag to fill-that's a lot of apples to a little one! We enjoyed the apple brats and fresh apple cider after our picking fun!

Yelp
It's "fall" in Minnesota, whatever that means, and it's time to head to the apple orchard! It was an unseasonably cool day, so we didn't spend much time outside or pick any apples. We did, however, pay our $3 for a quick little hayride, and then made our way to the barn for some hot apple cider. The cider was ridiculously good. The place was packed so it made for some tricky maneuvering, but we still managed to get in on the apple sampling and purchase our other goodies. I grabbed some apple cider donuts and we browsed the wine selection at St. Croix--sampling is $6. There are brats, kettle corn, hard cider, and other wonders to be found at Aamodt's. There's even a fire pit where you can have a quick warm up or sit and sip your beverages.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to try this place out and was intent on waiting until the end of October to do so (my birthday), but curiosity got the better of me! It was a gorgeous sunny day to check this orchard out. Only a 33-min drive from Minneapolis. Plenty of parking and dogs are allowed, which I really appreciated since our pouch needed a bit of exercise! Thor's Hard Cider is located on the premises, as well as St. Croix Vineyard. In nice weather, there are tents outside serving cider and wine. We tried the cranberry and ginger flavors of Thor's. The cranberry came in a large bottle, which was served with a cup. Both were decent - not the most creative flavors but very refreshing on a sunny fall afternoon. You can also walk around the orchard with drinks, and there isn't a fee to enter like at other orchards. The gift shop has a nice variety of apples, souvenirs and of course, a cute little bakery counter where you can order apple cinnamon donuts - will have to go back to try these! There are also goats and a hayride comes through every 15 mins or so. We noticed little kids on an adorable tractor "train" ride too. Very cute orchard with lots to do and explore!

Yelp
Cool place for the whole family. Great gift shop the tons of things like Carmel apples, apples, popcorn, syrups and honey. Pick some apples and take in the scenery.

Yelp
Extremely cute and fun orchard to take the family for a couple hours. While there wasn't any picking allowed when we went we still walked through the orchard and enjoyed some cider. The baked goods are absolutely scrumptious. The deep dish apple pie muffins are out of this world and are definitely worth purchasing. The cider is sweet, the doughnuts tasty, and the apples fresh as can be. I was even delighted at how delicious the apple sausage sticks were and wish I had grabbed more! I can't wait to go back again with my family next year!

Yelp
best apple orchard in minnesota! it has become a yearly tradition for me to visit every fall and i'm always glad i go. they have a wine room, a cidery, food, animals, apple picking, and hay rides. my only criticism is that i wish there was more seating available. it gets very busy and there is never enough seating.

Yelp
I had a much better experience at Aamodt's recently, compared to my experience 3 years ago. They've added a few improvements and additions on their apple farm, which has resulted in improved star-age on my review. Aamodt's has become more of a destination than a quick trip. They have pick your own apples, a bakery, store with seasonal and local goods, St. Croix vineyard with a wine tasting room, goats, and now Thor's Hard Cider and tap room! PYO APPLES - in 2018 it was $10 for a peck (about 10 apples) and $20 for a full peck. The apples are available in select rotation, so it's still somewhat limited. We had a choice of 2 apples, and we absolutely loved one type that was tart and crisp. I just wish they labeled the rows of trees with the apple types. ST. CROIX VINEYARD - Inside, the wine tastings are just $6 for 3 whites, 1 red, and a dessert wine. Awesome deal! Plus they let us split one between the two of us. We really enjoyed trying the variety of wines, and I ended up liking the "Delaware" white best. The wines were poured by part-time volunteers, so though they were friendly, they weren't incredibly knowledgeable on the wines. THOR'S HARD CIDER - great addition! I tried their cider at this year's Bacon & Beer Classic and loved it. Their ginger and dry ciders are already award-winning. BARN/BAKERY - Lastly, hit up the barn for all other goodies, including fresh pumpkins, apple butter, jams, candles, local honey, pies, apple crisp, soup mixes, and for god's sake you cannot leave without getting apple cider donuts!! PS - Get Chris' Apple Brat.

Yelp
Over the past few years, I've fallen for the trend of apple picking in the fall. It seems to have become a yearly thing. Strangely, I don't remember orchards actually allowing people to pick on days that I've gone in recent trips. This year was different! Someone I knew had gone to Aamodt's and I decided to give the place a shot. It was an easy drive from Minneapolis and provided a fun afternoon activity. There was a large building with many items for sale to look at and some tasting of the apples too. Around the back was where the apple trees were. A couple of boys in a trailer car, engaged in an intense card game, were selling bags for apple picking. A bit of an odd interaction, but nice to see kids playing cards and not on their phones. At first, it seemed like all of the apples were depleted, but there was a plethora of them towards the end of the rows of trees. It was an exciting experience to be able to seek out the good ones and pick them from the branches. (Perhaps even better because of deprivation from the other orchards in previous years.) In the extremely likely case that I end up with the hankering to visit an apple orchard in the autumn season of next year, I will keep Aamodt's at the top of my list.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite spots to visit as a family. The ciders are all tasty and our 3-year old has plenty of room to run around while we enjoy a drink. Very family friendly environment.

Yelp
It is an apple farm relatively close from the Cities and has many fun features. 1. Animal barn depending on the year and time, they have more or less. But you will still have a chance to pet a sheep or two and feed goats etc. Kids love it. 2. Swing and play area If you come with family, they have areas for kids to play and there's even line to get on the swing. 3. Apple sales You can pick your own or buy from their store. They also sell honey, apple butter etc, donuts and other related items. I find them much more expensive than grocery stores. 4. Wine bar Now this is an additional feature Aamodt's have that others don't. There's a wine shop (from Stillwater local) attached to their store and you can buy wine by glasses and/or bottle and even drink on their patio while having some apple pie. I personally do not like this winery's products, but location location! 5. Grapes Another addition specific to this farm is the Grapes. Not much, but enough rows of grapes are planted. Not always up for picking. 6. GRAPES STOMPING This isn't always available. They announce a specific one weekend they will have this. I was lucky to run into this event when I stopped by the farm unplanned. You get to take off your shoes and hike up your pants and stomp on some grapes, it is quite fun. I have been coming here for a decade now, and depending on the week and weather it can be a hit or a miss. This year it snowed early and got cold too fast, it wasn't that fun. However, when I think of the other years, I believe this place deserves a solid 4 stars.

Yelp
We visited this place on a beautiful and busy Saturday this past weekend. It was crazy busy, but they seem to know how to handle large crowds. After finding a place to park, among the apple trees, we made our way toward the apple market and winery. Luckily, parking attendants help with the parking, which is definitely needed. We grabbed some hard ciders from Thor's, located at Aamodt's. We didn't go into the winery section, which was very busy. We have been in the winery before and purchased wines. We went in to the market and purchased apples, donuts and cider. The lines were not long given the huge crowds. They definitely have crowd-control down! They were serving kettle corn and brats outside under tents. None of the tents (cider, wine, brats, corn) had out-of-control lines. All were managed well. The inside barn/market also had short lines. This is a great place for families with children. They have a play area, petting zoo area and offer hayrides. You can also pick your own apples. You can easily spend an entire afternoon here, and parents can partake in adult beverages.

Yelp
My wife and I have been coming here every fall for a few years now. The staff are always so friendly and willing to help you out with whatever you're looking for. We ordered some hard cider the other day and they offered to give us samples of everything before we tried. It actually helped out quite a bit too because their dry cider is actually VERY dry, so we changed our minds and went with the semi-sweet. We've also done the wine tasting in previous years and had a lot of fun doing that too. Aamodt's Farm is very much a kid friendly place too. They offer wagon rides for 3 dollars a person. The tractor just goes around in a circle more or less, but if you have a really little one they'll probably enjoy it. They also have a few different swing sets on the grounds, as well as a few goats that anyone can pet! I'd recommend bringing a picnic blanket and just hanging out on their huge lawn, given that your child will sit still for more than a few seconds anyways. We aren't quite to that point yet though, but hopefully soon :)

Yelp
Great atmosphere. A wonderful outing. We went on a Monday for pick-your-own, n it was not very crowded.
