a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn

Spent the last three nights here. The staff were phenomenal! So friendly and nothing was too much for them! Perfect! Yes the building and the rooms need a spruce. But for price, location, and all the basic needs for a stay. It was perfect! Iv stayed in worse 3 star hotels across Europe! The only thing I felt it was severely lacking was the breakfast. But again, for the price I can definitely forgive that! I saw some of the reviews prior to my stay and have since found them outrageous! I could understand it if you were spending in excess of £75 per night but your spending only a fraction of that! Thank you!

The worst place I’ve been this year and I went to 70-80 places across Asia, Turkiye, Georgia and Europe. This is shocking, asking 100+€ for such a low standard accommodation, this is a rip off. Don’t even think of staying here, this establishment must be closed. Not clean at all, AWFUL bed, looking worse than a prison, broken shower. And they may tell you to behave responsibly for the environment BUT they are the first to change the towel everyday even if it’s not necessary at all, they forgot to turn off the light when leaving the room. Also, it was smelling pee in the aisle, like in the street you know, very nice.

Had a comfortable stay. Stayed in the 8 Bed Dormitory and it was very clean. Luckily I got early check-in as well. Very cheerful guys (Oder and Ahmad) at front desk. Awesome coffee. 😁👍

Clean and cheap hostel right on the Reeperbahn. Staff was helpful, but my booking got lost and I had to switch rooms as my original one was not cleaned. (Was cleared up, but not the best experience after a day of activities).

If I'm being honest. The place itself is a little strange and half the shared toilets are nackered but the rooms are clean and the beds are comphy. There are 2 communal areas always with people hanging out. I really enjoyed my time The rooms carry sound well unfortunately but thankfully everyone was quiet and respectful

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.||Issue is I didn’t really check the location, I was there for a job interview and I needed to get a good nights sleep and unfortunately the hostel is located in a party street. As a female solo traveler without the intention of partying it wasn’t ideal for me, I’d also recommend bringing a portable lock for extra protection since there isn’t a top safety latch on the door. I’d also recommend earplugs, I used mine the second night and slept without hearing any of the noise from outside. The staff is super friendly as well as guests. If you’re going to Hamburg to party and meet new people this is the place for you. However if you’re there with children, for something you need a goods night sleep for and peace, I’d avoid it.

The hostel itself offers great value for money. The rooms are simple but clean and functional, which is all you need if you’re spending most of your time out and about. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing local tips and assistance whenever needed. I stayed in a private room, and though it wasn’t luxurious, it was comfortable and had everything I needed, including fast Wi-Fi.||One of the best things about A&O Reeperbahn is the 24/7 reception and bar, so you never feel like you’re on a schedule. The communal areas are also a great place to meet fellow travelers, which adds to the fun, social vibe.||While it can get a bit noisy due to the location, that’s to be expected in a lively area like this. Overall, if you’re looking for affordable accommodation in the heart of Hamburg, A&O Reeperbahn is a solid choice.

The room where you can leave your baggage was extremely dirty and had a broken window. The beds were squeaky, there weren’t lights or outlets near our beds and the people in our rooms were chaotic. The window in our room was also broken and you could hear the loud music from clubs across the street all night long. On the other hand the staff was extremely nice and helpful and is working to rebuild the hostel into an enjoyable place.
