a&o Hostel Aachen Hauptbahnhof

Very polite and friendly staff, both reception/bar staff and housekeeping guys. Good location and not bad value. Great atmosphere in communal area and a bit of entertainment. Good size family room with private bathroom. Could do with Aircon or fans as was rather hot night...but would highly recommend..plus secure parking for a reasonable price..

I was there for one night and I am disgusted. We had a 4 person room, two beds were not made and there were no towels. There were tissues and used earplugs stuffed in the bunk bed. Brown unidentified stains on the ceiling. Very small and claustrophobic bathroom. But the breakfast was good, tasty coffee and nice cups.

The front desk person was so friendly. She's so helpful and welcoming even there was a line of people waiting to check in. She was giving attention to each person in a very calm and welcoming manner. That made such a good impression of the hostel and the staff. One downside is the bed. It gave a bad backache to me and my friend.

They came to clean the room but only took out the trash and swept the floor. The bed sheets, pillowcases, and other linens were not changed. Also, there is no wardrobe in the room, so I’ve had to pile all my belongings on top of each other. It’s advertised as a hotel, but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

The rooms are cheap, so perhaps you get what you pay for, but because the hostel is located near the station, the rooms are incredibly noisy. I visited in late april and the heat forced me to keep the windows open the entire night. The beds do not have their own power sockets or lights, so you have to plan strategically when you can charge phones etc. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the 24/7 reception is a nice amenity as well, but for me that didn’t weigh up to the bad night I had

Everything was great, perfect location close to the train station and everyone was very friendly. Just the room was very hot, not very plesant to be there during the day, we only stayed one night and it wasn't a big problem for me

They make you check in yourself and make the bed, the staff were kind but lied to me about my situation with a future booking that needed to be canceled. When I arrived they changed the room I have booked and put me with a literal homeless woman that kept me up all night. Long battle with booking.com to cancel my next stay there but they were too cheap to let 14 euros go away. 0 stars. The bathroom didn't have ventilation and you always hear the trains passing by and train station announcements as if you are in the train station. Worst stay of my life and I have been in thousand hostels

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with a well-organized schedule that ensured no long waiting times. The reception staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting guests with a warm smile and ready to assist with any questions or requests.||||The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere that made my stay very comfortable. The toilet and bathroom were also exceptionally clean, with all the necessary amenities provided. It was clear that housekeeping does an excellent job in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness.

This was my first ever hostel. I was traveling alone from Ramstein, Germany to Maastricht, Netherlands and decided to stop a Aachen, Germany to rest. I asked for a private room and it was awesome. Customer service here is awesome. I didn't have a converter to charge my phone and the front desk guy trusted to let me borrow his for the night. Wht a life saver! The building itself looks old on the inside, but its very clean. The room included a bed, that was actually two mattresses put together, but it worked. I tend to sleep on one side of the bed. The matresses were VERY comfty. As small as this room was, it had a desk, a nice mirror, a TV and a nice shower room. I would definitely stay here again for a night or two if i ever go back. Worth the money. The room goes pitch black when you turn everything off. Overall very comfortable. Oh! And convenient for those traveling by train. The train station is an 6 min walk from the Aachen Train Station and a short walk to the center of town!
