a&o Hostel Aachen Hauptbahnhof

Had a great stay, I really enjoyed my time here and the staff were amazing. They helped with any queries we had and fixed problems instantly. The one problem we had was that the room we were staying in was quite close to a main road so we could hear the cars going past all night. But I know there is no way they could change that so overall it was an amazing stay.

It really is a beautiful property, I think it should be the face of A&O as a brand, staff are very kind & helpful they make your stay very easy. The location is just next to the train station and it is ideal for arriving and leaving to catch your train on time. It is very clean and well organized, I’m happy that I stayed here & I hopefully would visit them at any point I’m at beautiful Aachen

For a one night family stop-over for the Christmas Market the hotel was great. The room was a decent size for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The shower/wc facilities were clean and modern. Great location by the train station, walking distance from the centre. We didn't use any hotel facilities. The only downside was that the car park was full (couldn't book it in advance) but there was a multistorey car park about 10 minutes walk away

I stayed here back in Apr. 2024. The room was generally alright, except for there being blood stains on my pillow (not the pillow case, but the pillow itself), and the floors were quite dirty. It wasn't like the floors were a biohazard, I didn't see any mold, but just generally a lot of dirt, especially in the corners. There was no place to securely store your luggage. They have a closet of sorts near the front desk that you can put your luggage in, and they do give you a ticket for identifying your bag. However, when I came back for my things, the clerk didn't ask to see my ticket, nor did they even keep much of an eye on me. If I had really wanted to, I could've easily just started taking people's things. The clerks weren't rude or anything like that, but this aloof mindset towards people's luggage was a problem I saw, and I didn't feel comfortable using that storage area ever again. Also, if you wish to do laundry, they have no on-site laundry, but there's a laundromat across the street that seemed perfectly fine. The location is very convenient, though! It's right next to the train station, but it's just far enough that I slept fine through the night. My room was also on the top floor, and the view was generally nice! Lastly, getting from the hostel to the city center is a bit of a long walk, but an easy one. It'll probably be a 15-20 minute walk. Would I stay here again? Probably not. But if you want a cheap hostel and something close to the train station, it's very good for that.

Great location, literary no service. I wanted to charge my car but despite two empty charging points they told me it was full. The room is very primitive and noisy because one window was broken. Nice if you're a student but not so nice for a family getaway.

I must say I am very disappointed with the hostels. The location is bad, the whole night you can hear the train and the men speaking on the microphone of the Hauptbahnhof. We made a reservation for our room to be cleaned and nobody clean it until i told to the reception a few times. The housekeeping is doing very,very bad job of servecing the rooms. I mean very bad job. The reception is also not very helpful, you can see that they do not even pretend to be liking the job and they even argue with you. I will not recommend this Hostel in Aachen.

I stayed at the hostel for a week and I was satisfied with everything. The price was its most attractive feature. In the lobby, there were not enough tables for my needs. The number of tables should be increased because sometimes I couldn’t find a table to place my laptop. Other than that, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to my friends.

Cheap hostel for budget solo trips. Liked · The location of the Hostel is very good. It is very close to the Hauptbahnhof, and easily accessible. There is enough parking on the street as well. The staff was very nice and the check-in was very smooth. Disliked · Cleanliness is a major issue which can be improved by the hostel. The bathroom was not clean at all. The shower was area was also very unclean. Water not draining properly. Flush not working as it is supposed to work. Could have been better.

This was my first ever hostel. I was traveling alone from Ramstein, Germany to Maastricht, Netherlands and decided to stop a Aachen, Germany to rest. I asked for a private room and it was awesome. Customer service here is awesome. I didn't have a converter to charge my phone and the front desk guy trusted to let me borrow his for the night. Wht a life saver! The building itself looks old on the inside, but its very clean. The room included a bed, that was actually two mattresses put together, but it worked. I tend to sleep on one side of the bed. The matresses were VERY comfty. As small as this room was, it had a desk, a nice mirror, a TV and a nice shower room. I would definitely stay here again for a night or two if i ever go back. Worth the money. The room goes pitch black when you turn everything off. Overall very comfortable. Oh! And convenient for those traveling by train. The train station is an 6 min walk from the Aachen Train Station and a short walk to the center of town!
