I really liked it. You kinda get what you pay for in terms of: good service but only one person at the front desk at and they can easily get overwhelmed. This place has nice amenities like a kitchen and washers dryers. All nice but shared and can get full. Still, I enjoyed the social element of it and met people from all over the world. Room was clean and quiet, certainly recommend

The receptionist was polite, friendly, and very helpful, even though the check-in process took longer than expected. I had booked and fully paid for a room with a twin bed for myself and my wife. However, upon arrival, we were assigned a room with two single beds placed at opposite corners of the room. I immediately informed the receptionist and showed her the photos from the online booking. She promptly checked for alternative availability and offered us another room. While this room did have a joined twinbed, it was extremely small—there was barely enough space to enter the room, as the bed was right against the wall with almost no room to move around. It was impossible for two people to stand outside the bed at the same time, which was disappointing given that we had paid for a larger room. As it was already quite late and we were staying only for one night, we decided to accept the room rather than search for another hotel. That said, I would like to commend the receptionist again for her kindness. When we asked for suggestions, she thoughtfully provided us with city public transport tickets, which was much appreciated. Overall, while the staff service was excellent, the room allocation did not meet expectations based on the booking and payment.

A great stay and value for money! The quad room had all the essentials (2 adults 2 kids 10&12 year old): 2 comfy beds, a bunk bed, private bathroom with hot shower, towels, TV, and a small table and chairs. Since we were out exploring Salzburg most of the time, having a reliable place to rest made all the difference. Kids love the bunk bed. The walk to the Old Town was easy and pleasant. We especially enjoyed the foosball table—it turned into our nightly family bonding activity. If you don’t need luxury and just want comfort and convenience, this place delivers. Close to train station and very value for money. Highly recommend. Very satisfied.

Cons: This place could’ve been nice. The rooms are small, so if someone goes poo the entire room smells like poo. And no circulation so it just STINKS. Co-ed with males is a nightmare from the snoring and musty smell. You have to buy your own lock for the rooms. Pros: Common areas are very clean and comfortable. The front desk bar is convenient for snacks and drinks. Check in was a breeze. Temperature was good. Workers are very nice.

I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The room was simple but clean and had everything I needed. The location is very strategic — close to the train station and easy to get around.Breakfast was basic but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the pancakes with hazelnut sauce, the turkey ham and salami, and the fresh bread. It was simple, but just right to start the day.The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, making check-in and any questions super easy. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay.

Good location near to main train and bus station. Clean and nice environment. Good service from front desk staff. I had one of my earing fall into sink, the manager help me arrange and the earing is on the table when I get back to the room. Very nice service. Laundry room need to take key from front desk and it not very convenient. I need to install an app to purchase the service of the washing and drying machines. I'm facing problem with the machine that can't dry my clothes according the timer. At the end I spent 2 times prices to dry my clothes. I sent email to customer service and I get an efficient reply. Although problem haven't settled, but at least I get a fast response and I feel respected from CS. Hope it can settle soon. Thank you all the services provided. I have a good trip in Salzburg

The hostel is in a good position, close to the train station, and also a good value for money. The rooms were acceptable, but could be cleaner. Breakfast was good, dinner was a little disappointing, and it was always the same except for the meat serving. It is ideal if you are looking for a short stay in Salzburg on a budget.

The place was very good only downside is the rooms had dimlighting, making it difficult it to see but overall good stay. We booked a Family room for 4 and it was sufficiently big for 4 friends. The room was clean and best value for the price. They have self paid washing machines and dryers which is a bonus in emergencies. 2 minutes from the central station, amazing location and connections by bus.

This is a great property to stay at. Don't let the "hostel" in the name fool you. This location offers private rooms with a private restroom, in addition to standard room types you'd expect in a hostel. A&O is very clean. Its staff is extremely professional and courteous. The services provided at the front desk include: a bar, coffee, tea, food and snacks. The prices aren't to terrible either. The WiFi is fantastic, and it seems to be throughout the entire facility, not just in the common areas. A huge benefit is A&O's proximity to the train station. It's a short and easy walk to get to the front desk. I highly recommend staying here.
