A spectacular Indian / Nepali food in Kanazawa 🍲 The owner is very friendly he takes care of the customers. The food was scrumptious and tasty (and Halal as per the owner). They have a good variety of options and the service was great. They even accommodated our extra orders (even though it was past last order time), and they are fast! I recommend getting the biriyani and the main top sellers (butter chicken, etc., sorry I forgot the orders 😔), they are good! 👍🏼 We had a nice chat with the owner who shared his story on how his Nepali wife inspired this restaurant where he left his old job and they partnered with Indian chefs to create this restaurant ✨.

We visited for lunch yesterday and were given a choice of four delicious dishes, with both vegetarian and meat options available. The food and service impressed us so much that we returned the next day for dinner. The staff are incredibly friendly—taking the time to explain the menu and suggest spice levels that matched our preference for something hot. As Brits who are used to plenty of Indian restaurants back home, we were genuinely delighted to find a place like this while abroad. Highly recommended!

I'm an English-speaking local guide here in Kanazawa. If you're looking for what's called an "Indian curry" restaurant in Kanazawa, I would say this is the best among many choices. Firstly the staff is all friendly and nice. In addition, the curry is pungent, but not too hot and tastes good. Also they have vegetarian options. Furthermore It's perfect cost-wise. Highly recommended for anyone: not only locals but also tourists. It's worth a visit even if I take it into account that we have the famous branded curry "Kanazawa Curry" here in the area.

We LOVED this little gem! We found it as we were walking over to the Samurai district, then went back for a most delightful lunch! I chose a 2 curry lunch and Mom got one curry. Both were vegetarian thali-style plates with rice, salad, pickle, and the flakiest, most delectable naan EVER!

Definitely one of my favorite places that I ate at, not only in Kanazawa, but all throughout Japan! Food was incredible and the best Indian food I’ve ever had (and i had plenty in Japan). Get the cheese naan and mango lassi or you’ll regret it. The staff were great and the owner was incredibly kind. He would have conversations with us the many times we came. The last day we were in Kanazawa, we thought we’d stop off one last time for takeout when they opened up. We had to bring our luggage because we were soon going to take a bullet train, and the owner let us sit inside with our luggage while we waited and even gave us a lassi drink to try (Note: the take out containers were a bit difficult to manage for us eating on a train but fine if you just take it back to a hotel). Make sure to get there at a good time because there can be a line out the door. Aashirwad is a must stop in Kanazawa!

I don't think I will ever forget this place! They claim best Indian in Kanazawa, and it is definitely some of the best I have had!! Amazing naan bread (I dont regret getting two large garlic naans!) We started with the veggie samosas and coconut filled eggplants, which were both outstanding. For mains we had the dahl fry, creamy paneer masala and the aloo ghobi, which all worked so well with the rice and naan to accompany. Mango lassi drink was also delcious. They warned us of a wait due to the busyness but it was not too long to wait with having starters and definitely worth it! Thank you for this nice memory for our last night in Kanazawa.

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was super delicious and you can choose how spicy you would like it. The food came out really quickly and the price is good. When we were leaving they all said goodbye and wished us a good evening. 10/10 would recommend☺️

Wow!! Aashirwad is a gem. Came back twice during our stay in Kanazawa because of the amazing food, service and atmosphere! The menu has a nice mix of Nepalese and Indian food. The naans and the entrees were so good. Mains were all tasty and well priced. Only one critique would be that the mango lassi was a little too sweet for me.
