AB Motel Langkawi

I stayed in room A5, and honestly, AB Motel is great — the best part is that it’s right in front of the beach! The toilet is comfortable, and overall it’s a nice budget hotel. However, the pillows were a bit too hard, which made it difficult to sleep and even gave me a headache. Everything else was fine, just the pillows need improvement.

My experience was so bad. - No room cleaning service provided throughout the stay. - A large group booked right behind our room and were extremely noisy, especially at night. - My 3-year-old child could not sleep because of the constant noise. - I personally spoke with the guests and also reported the issue to management, but nothing was done. - The situation forced me to change hotels, which was very inconvenient. - The only positive aspect was staying in room No. 10 with a sea view, but many other hotels in the area offer the same view.

A friend book this place so we shared the price is quite reasonable for a room located right at the beach. Please take note: 1) There are 2 option of rooms. One is located right smack at the beach where you can just go out and its already the beach area. The other rooms are located across the street away from the beach. So do check carefully before booking. 2) NO online booking. All booking via direct contact, Whatsap or call. 3) Not sure about deposit because my friend settled the checked in but all I know, if you would like to Extend check out, management allow until 3 pm only for rm10 per hour. Meaning check out at 12pm so the maximum late check out is 3pm but you have to pay for rm10 per hour. 4) No ironing board in the room. You have to go to the lobby area to iron board. 5) There are distilled water machine at the lobby. 6) Therr are laundry opposite the motel which is just like less than 5 minutes walk which cost rm7 for drying and rm7 for washing. 7) No toiletries given as this is a budget hotel and even you stay for more than 2 nights, don't expect a clean up room service. If you want a better treatment, then stay in a 5 star hotel. Remember this is just a MOTEL. Not a Hotel.

Nice location. My room was just adjacent to Sea Beach. We enjoyed fresh air from the veranda during the night. Room was clean. Staff was also good. Recommended for family stay.

Receptionist staff is very Rude, the staff named NURUL or Nuru is very rude.. she gave different room on what i booked online and asked for higher deposit. That was my 4th time to book on the hotel and that Nurul treated us rudely..Im trying to asked why just a day ago we agreed on one room then when checked in will give different, her tone raise as if was acting like owner.. she even hold my passport carelessly and throw on her side table to scan… i was so pissed off it might get damaged.. i don’t recommend this hotel, checking in will ruin your day and your vacation Rooms are already old Front beach yes Cups are old we dont use their cups No tissue as well Water is low pressure

First time i saw in malaysia if u take hotel they keep ur passport for as a deposit they dont hav rite to hold anyone passport #immigration # costumer review

This is worst hotel i have ever stayed, so racism literally took my original passport and told them to take a copy of my passport but they refused and demanded to give my original or give her 200rm for deposit for the key. Im so disappointed how the lady of hotel management ( fida) treated me . Plus no proper service of room housekeeping and no water given is so bad . Worst hotel i have stayed entire my life

Everything is perfect here, except sand on beach 😢. No, it's normal and common sand, but... bloody rammed down. Not soft as it used to be 10 years ago. At that sweet times there were no access to the beach for cars as it is now. Beach line became rural country road, that's why for soft and gentle sand you better go to somewhere else

Whenever I'm visiting Langkawi for a getaway, AB Motel is where I'll always choose to stay in. The main reason being they have really crazy rates! In a good way. No, don't think that because of the cheap rates, the rooms are going to be ugly and uncomfortable, it's actually the opposite of all those. You get a balcony facing the beach, fully working air conditioning, and a really comfy bed. The motel is on the beach, Pantai Chenang to be exact, where all the nightlife is. Getting here from the airport is about a half hour drive and if you have a navigation system or a map, it'll come in handy. The motel is seperated into two buildings, on exactly on the beach and one across the street. I personally think it doesn't matter which rooms are nicer, unless you'll specifically want an ocean view from your room. The streets of Pantai Chenang is loaded with amazing food, especially when the sun goes down. Every burger you see grilling, every barbeque you see burning, it's all amazing. If you're in a party mood, there're nearby bars and clubs that you can to with a car if you rented one or a cab- you can enquire about this at the reception, but please do before they close round evening or so. Anyone who's going on a trip here, I'll really suggest this place for your accomodation, you will not regret it!
