Delicious Kerala food and great service. The owner is very friendly. The chef is superb. The Kerala dishes that are prepared for to-go are quality dishes and taste homemade. If you call in advance they can prepare dishes for you or you can try their ready made fresh items. Highly recommended (Indian store and take out)!

One star is too oo much. Well the disappointment was always there from this place for messing up the order. Today was also a disappointment, after waiting for 55mins for malai kebab , I get hariyali kebab. Cooking 7 to 8 pcs of chicken breast cooking taking that long. I would have just let it go, if I got the right food item, but the lady is giving an over smart comment "iam giving you an expensive kebab" . Instead of apologizing and being sorry commenting like that. Such a waste of time to come there .

One of the best mutton biryanis I've had in a long time. The flavors were rich, the meat was tender, and the portion was generous. Anil and his staff were extremely professional and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a satisfying and authentic biryani meal and snacks.

Google
Good store! You find all the required Indian Pakistani grocery. It is a little expensive than stores in Sugarland, still it is worthwhile because of convenience if you’re living in Pearland.

Prices for grocery items are little high compared to other similar businesses, but the issue is they don’t check their inventory now and then. I bought tea rusk and some cookies and many of them were expired. I looked at the expiry because tea risk and cookies tasted bad. Couldn’t go back to show/return them as it’s far from my house, but they should monitor the inventory.

We recently ordered appam and chicken curry from AB World Food Market for our house warming occasion and cannot express enough to say how good it was! It was very delicious and would highly recommend to everyone. This is my new home store from now on.

Yelp
Food is still amazing so far I've had the butter chicken , the chicken biryani, the goat pepper fry, and today I ordered the goat vindaloo and not one dish was bad EVER. Service is always good and the location is perfect

Yelp
We visited AB World Food Market mid morning on a Saturday after visiting a friend in the area. The parking lot is nice and large for this and other shops in the area. We were able to easily secure a spot. Once inside, the staff was extremely attentive, kind, and helpful. They have fully stocked shelves with some great finds. We were happy to have such a nice selection. Everything was kept neat and tidy. Items were easy to locate. Everything was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. I picked up one of their menus and plan to place an order next time we are in this area. I hope you stop in and take home some goodies.

Yelp
GREAT Indian food! I'm not sure it's obvious to most potential customers that you can order pickup food here, like a restaurant. It would be cool if they added a buy online option to their website. We've ordered: Chicken Tikka Masala Butter Chicken Masala Paneer Tikka Masala Garlic Naan All are fantastic. Definitely the best I've had in the Houston area, and probably top 3 for Indian food I've had in the US and some other parts of the world (I have not yet visited India, so, no verdict on that). They're great about Covid safety with the pickup and if you say no to the plastic bag around everything, the order is plastic-free. Win win win, win win as Michael Scott would say.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this spot as there is a large gap for Indian cuisine in this area, but there were just too many issues... We placed our phone order at 6:45pm and were told it was going to be a half hour. Got there around 7 just to do a little shopping and asked if the food was ready at 7:15. Was told very shortly. In that time, there were very few other customers, and anyone that did show up was able to pick up within minutes of arriving. We didn't end up getting our order until 7:45, no reasons or excuses or anything. On paying, nearly every item was upcharged an extra dollar. Doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. This includes items as part of the grocery shop, not just our food order! When I asked, they told me that prices have gone up. Goat prices, cauliflower prices... Their menu is very recently printed and clearly spelled out prices but they were unwilling to honor it for us. As for the food, the portions are very reasonable, even for the extra cost, but at this point, I would prefer just going to a sit down restaurant since it would have been quicker and the same price. The gobi was mostly chewy batter, overly salted rather than the sweet, tangy, spicy flavor I was expecting. The butter chicken was legit good though, and I wish I knew how they cook that chicken so tender. The goat was ok - something was missing in the flavor and I was tasting more bitter than anything else. Just wish I got some pieces of meat that wasn't just cartilage, tendon, and bone. I'll be back for groceries, but I'm avoiding their takeout next time. Hopefully this was just a one off experience for them.

Yelp
Wow, we've tried all the local Indo options in the Pearland area. Most are great but the food being dished out by this nondescript grocery store is amazing. There's no special orders. What you get is 100 % authentic flavors and generous portions. Everything is cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. do yourself a favor, call ahead and be prepared to be amazed at the explosion of spices in your mouth. Very friendly staff, willing to help. Make this your go to place for takeout Indian.

Yelp
Stopped by to order the shrimp curry w/ veggie rice. The shop is clean and has a nice selection of grocery items. I came back to pick my order up at the scheduled time and my food was ready and hot. After I got home and opened everything up I was so impressed with the quality and how fresh everything looked! I tasted and had to call back to let them know how absolutely DELICIOUS the food is! As someone who has spent time overseas it's challenging to find fresh and authentic tasting Indian food. The curry is seasoned beautifully. I LOVE EVERYTHING I Ordered and would definitely recommend :)

Yelp
Excellent food. Deep and balanced flavor in every dish we tried. We had 3 dishes but the goat Vindaloo was my favorite. Everything was delicious, order was right, hot and fresh, the goat was perfection. I can't wait to try other dishes.

Yelp
AB World Food Market recently opened, unfortunately during the pandemic, so I think the older reviews are mistaken (Apna Bazaar) or referring to the store that was here previously. Looking to find some ethnic ingredients close to home (the drive to Chinatown is a little far, and I'm not willing to pay the prices they have at Kroger and HEB), I stopped by to browse the shelves. The store is very clean and spacious, with many products I've never seen before--of course this is expected; I'm used to Hong Kong markets, not Indian(?) markets. I'm especially impressed by their meat and seafood case, featuring goat and whole fish (sorry Kroger/HEB, fish fillets just don't cut it for me). Ready-to-eat foods (fried things at the front of store, others in the refrigerator case at the back of store) are made in the kitchen at the back, but you can also call in orders from the takeout menu. The folks working there are very friendly and easy to converse with. I recommend stopping by, if not to check out the market, at least get some delicious takeout.

Yelp
My first visit. I ordered, Butter Chicken, GM Chicken both with rice and Nan bread. The portions were fine and a good value. Why I'm only giving a three star, my Nan bread was burnt. I will go back in the future.

Yelp
I was looking for an Indian Kitchen / Grocery store. I came across this store in Google and it had amazing reviews, over 70 reviews with a 4.1 star, thus I decided to check it out. Glad I did! Food quality - Amazing! One of the best butter chicken I have ever tried! I'm a Punjabi and have tried some good butter chicken :) Look forward to trying the huge selection of fresh food on their menu which is priced at very affordable prices. They also have a packet of 10 fresh rotis which is really good. Cleanliness - Super clean! They make fresh food every day, it is packed in to go boxes and stored in the refrigerator. As simple as grab and go. Staff - Rajeev at this store is extremely polite, courteous and very helpful! He was extremely helpful in fulfilling a special food order in the kitchen even though it was late in the evening. Very good customer service. Huge selection - They have a huge variety of products. I was looking for a special variety of chili paste and could find it at Apna Baazar.

Yelp
Ordered Paneer tikka masala and to be honest I never had a sweet paneer tikka masala even in India. Disappointed.

Yelp
This is the best place to get Indian food from Kerala. Our favourites are the chicken biriyani, paratha and chicken curry and snacks like egg puffs, cutlets and pazhampori. Only takeout available. This needs to be on the food map for Houston since it's extremely rare to find authentic Kerala food. We drive an hour from Clear Lake just for the food

Yelp
Located inside an Indian market in Pearland they have great Indian food for takeout!!! Chicken tikka was amazing!!

Maggie G.

Yelp
I have been ordering food from AB World Market for a little over 4 months now and I am never disappointed. The food is delicious and prices are good. My favorite is Paneer Tikka Masala. Best food in Pearland in my opinion.

Yelp
Best Indian Food in the Pearland area. The Butter Chicken is the best butter chicken I've ever had, but their Goat Rogan Josh and Chicken Korma are also wonderful. Don't forget to get a couple of veggie samosas too - they're spicy though!!

Rakesh R.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, it's a must place for grocery and fresh meat.

Yelp
One of the Indian groceries I go to often due to being closest and easily accessible. Compared to some of the other stores in the area that have branched out, it has a more mom and pop store feel. You can find all the items you expect from an Indian grocery store (Indian spices / masalas, snacks, sweets , etc). They also have movie rental available. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only slight negative is some item prices are bit on the high side compared to other local places and some don't even have pricing placed when it rings up on counter. Plus points include there is fresh Bonda and Wada (South Indian snacks) available daily. They are authorized dealer for the Asianet Internet TV boxes if you need to pick one up. What pushes them from 3 to 4 stars is that they have a to go mini restaurant inside for good Beef Fry, Fish Curry, and few other South Indian dishes which is perfect for picking up a last second meal for unexpected visitors . So you can pick up both needed groceries and and a meal for those emergencies.

Yelp
New Indian store and takeout on the convenient side of West Pearland. The catering service is outstanding and food is delicious. Their South Indian and north Indian dishes are close to home made quality. They have selection of to go curries, chapatis and cook to order dishes. Try their Malabar paratha, it is the best.

Yelp
The goat dum biryani was outstanding. Lots of variety of items and the Owner is very hospitable and helpful.

Yelp
Recently we had placed an order for delivery!! Got to say they were very prompt and on time. We ordered Chicken puffs, Banana appam, chicken 65, beef ulathiyathu, chicken curry, chicken biriyani and payasam. Every1 who ate was very happy and was amazed with the delicious food!! Great job and welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Yelp
It is not some fancy place. Very basic. They are little slow. But everything there is a good prize, good quality. Plus you get free Chai almost all day and every day. Their cooked food availability varies based on there schedule. Everything they cook is good. Just call them before you go there.

Yelp
This grocery store is my go to for fresh fish; they have a great affordable selection and they clean and cut the fish for you in curry size pieces. I usually buy pomfret because its the cheapest, and they offer both white and black options. They also have fresh king fish, and salmon among other varieties. I would also like to point out that they offer fresh fried Kerala snacks like fried plantain (ethaka fry) which I've seen in the afternoons, and they also have an extensive take out menu with many Kerala dishes (you have to order in advance at least 30 mins). I've ordered the chicken curry (which was tasty, spicy, and very similar to what you get in Kerala), and their fresh Kerala parotha which was very good too. The quality and price of the take out food is comparable to restaurant food. Comparing their produce prices to Kroger, I think Kroger is a bit more cheaper, because they are a large chain, but if you're looking for Kerala grocery items, and food this is a great place for that. As well, the customer service is great.

Yelp
I love going here because of all the availability of things they have there!! Best part is they have the fish/meat section and also catering plus the grocery store! So I can get all my Indian supplies and food in one going! Love the customer service the people working there are really nice and very helpful! The good is good and I love their South Indian and North Indian food! Awesome food

Low prices, amazing quality, friendly staff. Found everything I was looking for and more. Neatly organized and well lit store. I will come again when I am in the area. heard about the freshly prepared food, snacks etc. but did not get a chance to try. next time. highly recommended.

Yelp
My favorite place for fresh made snacks and ready to go curries. They are always kind and helpful and goes out of the way to make sure customers are happy.

Yelp
I like this place and the people who run it. Good place to buy meat. I got some fish fry which was really delicious. Nice little grocery store n carry out place. I wish they had more vegetables. Anyone who likes rabbit meat can find it here. Over all a good Indian place.

Dany G.

Yelp
Please do not go here. They are number one cheaters. They are greedy for money. they are selling only OLD FOODS. Pls do not buy anything from here. I know lot of friends have the same experiance. people get sick after taking food from here.
