We absolutely loved this hotel! It was one of our favourites on our family holiday through France. It is truly beautiful with the historical features of the Abbaye. We loved having a drink most evenings in the main sitting area and enjoyed breakfast in the beautiful dining area. As a coeliac, it was difficult finding gluten free (sans gluten) food through France and the staff here went above and beyond by finding me gluten free muesli (my favourite) and gluten free bread. So kind of them, thank you. They were so lovely and helpful throughout our stay as well. My sister and I loved our room, the beds are so comfortable and the bathrooms are so chic! We also enjoyed a swim in a pool during the winter season. I really can't fault this hotel, it is fantastic value for money and the town is right on your doorstep. I've already told my boyfriend we will be returning in the future all the way from Australia!

We had a wonderful stay at this historic and unique hotel in lovely Beaune. The rooms are beautifully done and spacious. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was terrific and included cooked-to-order omelettes -- and was served in an incredible room of this ancient abbey. We cannot imagine a better or more memorable place to stay in Beaune.

Charming hotel in an 11th century abbey. It’s fascinating, funky and for those who like a bit of adventure and history. We splurged on the Citreau Suite which had a large living room, nice bedroom and large bathroom. There are steep stairs everywhere, so be advised. This hotel is perfectly located in the center of town. Walk out the front door and be anywhere in just a few short minutes. Free parking is available nearby. Breakfast is excellent and the staff is top notch.

We've wanted to stay here for a while, and on this trip it worked. We arrived very late (3 am, my fault) and the staff were perfectly OK about it because we had let them know. Our room was fantastic (Clos de Vougeot, well worth the upgrade) with a beautifully designed bathroom. Breakfast was good, although a little pricey. Pool is well worth a visit. Pet friendly.||||Lovely!

What a stunning hotel - created from a 12th century abbey. The original vaulted ceiling in the reception area was nothing short of spectacular. Our junior suite room was lovely (huge opening windows were a treat) and location was perfect- just a few minutes walk to the centre of beautiful Beaune. The daily breakfast was very French and very delicious. But what really made this hotel even more special were the staff. They were all so welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our second stay in Beaune a very special one. We’d return there in a heartbeat!

We ended up unexpectedly extending our stay in Beaune and needed a hotel for a single night. Abbaye had good reviews and a reasonable price tag so we made a booking and I’m so glad we did.||The staff was welcoming and made a special effort to have our room ready early for us. They assisted up the stairs with our luggage and toured us around the room. ||The room itself - we stayed in the Clos Vougeot suite on the 1st floor - was spacious and very quiet. The wifi worked well, the bed was deliciously comfortable and the rainforest shower head had excellent pressure. ||The hotel itself is quite charming and tucked away unobtrusively on a side street in central Beaune. ||As others have mentioned before us, the entrance is unassuming and can be initially missed and the infamous stairs are no joke but we took our time and were able to wrestle bags down on the way out.||While we only enjoyed a brief stay, we’d happily return in the future for a longer visit.

Stunning and unique find in the heart of Beaune. Staff were wonderful and attentive. Rooms were very clean and offered Clarins products. Absolutely gorgeous lobby/dining area. They’ve maintained it so well!

Yelp
This beautiful historic medieval-building hotel transports you back in time. Photos do not do it justice. We stayed at a lot of hotels during our honeymoon, and this one had by far the best architecture. The view from our room was terrific, and we loved the stained glass window in our room. Extremely comfortable bed as well. Everything was stunning. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They recommended two outstanding restaurants and made reservations for us (you need them). Probably the best food we ate our honeymoon. Breakfast was outstanding! Really delicious selection. And have a drink of chartreuse at their bar! Overall, a truly remarkable hotel and lifetime experience. I hope I will get to stay here again.

Yelp
Incredible setting in a 12th century building. Food was excellent. We got 3 course price fix for 35 euro. Everything my wife and I ordered was excellent. Great service Nice wine list with fair prices. I would definitely go back again

Yelp
I love this hotel. It is unique, great architecture and the best staff! Bruno and his wife run it and they couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating, or more helpful! Their staff is just as great. Only one downside...no elevator. Normally I wouldn't care about that, but unfortunately I never travel light and my bags are always too heavy. Other than that, it was super comfortable, big rooms, nice bathroom and good beds! We had great wine and food thanks to Bruno and his staff. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Welcome to the 12th Century is how you are greeted. owners renovated this ancient abbey and offer 14 rooms that are well furnished and have updated bathrooms that still reflect the antiquity of the property. Well situated in the town for easy walking to restaurants and shops.
