I can't say enough about our experience at Abbey del Sol! We booked this trip as a treat for our nephew and his best friend as a reward for working so hard in college. Neither are experienced travelers or have traveled alone, especially internationally. My spouse and I were to fly in separately from a different city and meet them the same day.||Unfortunately we were weather delayed for 48 hours and the boys were on their own. I immediately contacted the management at the hotel to explain the situation and they took care of everything. They arranged for a driver to meet the boys at the airport and drive them straight to the property, getting them settled in and oriented to both the house and to the area. We were reassured that there was someone there to look after them in our absence and to make sure they were safe. This actually worked out well because with the help of Abbey del Sol the boys were able to be the ones showing us the house and how everything worked and showing us around the area and the places they had discovered. I'm really glad that the management went above and beyond to make sure we did not need to worry about them while we tried to make other travel arrangements. They really do operate as one big family and provide service is a very personal manner. It was like visiting family as opposed to being guests.||If you are undecided about where to travel in the Riviera Maya I would suggest that Puerto Morelos is an ideal choice but that you should go soon. The oceanside area is still a sleepy little fishing village but the number of new condos under construction mean it may not stay as relaxed and uncrowded too much longer. The vibe here is casual and would be a nice alternative to the larger resorts in the area. We all decided that we were very happy to have chosen this instead of a resort as the boys got a much more authentic Mexican experience and loved everyone being able to hang out together at the house as a group. They want to do this again as soon as we are able to. If you need more glitz and glamor Cancun and Playa del Carmen are both nearby. Who should not come here? Anyone who is interested in partying through the night and dressing to impress. That is, thankfully, not the vibe here.||Abbey del Sol offers a number of options from smaller properties to whole houses. We chose Casa Zarah and it was perfect for the four of us, but could accommodate a larger group. Having the fully equipped kitchen led to us cooking meals together and after a long day in the sun having a private pool to dive into was very refreshing. We weren't aware of this when we made the booking, but the properties are located at the very north end of the area. This is perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the town square was a short walk or ride away on the provided bikes. We would definitely stay here again and we are already looking at schedules for next December to make sure we have a chance to stay at this wonderful place!

Booked this place after a bunch of research; decided on apt #10 and it was not a mistake...we want to go back. Having stayed exclusively on resorts this was our first time staying anywhere else.||The entirety of the experience with Abbey del Sol was 5 stars but the part that made it exceptional was the front office. Mariala and Mildred brought the experience to another level. We asked for taxis and boom they arrived. We asked them for a couple’s massage in our room, boom, they delivered and it was awesome. ||The room was spotless with almost everything you could want to live in it. They had thought of pretty much everything.||The bikes Abbey del Sol had for our use turned out to be a necessity. We used them several times each day. The pool was very relaxing.||We nailed it with this booking. Apt 10 is more expensive than a lot of other places you can find in Puerto Morelos, but the difference is, I didn’t really have a single critique with Abbey del Sol, we were so impressed and relaxed. Whereas a lot of other people we met had several negative comments with their accommodations.||I would highly recommend Abbey del Sol to anyone looking for a place to stay.

This review is for Casa Anita, a home managed by Abbey del Sol located just across the street from the main office: We first stayed at Casa Anita back in 2021 and loved it. We decided to return this year and I’m happy to say it is still as wonderful as our first time. The staff at Abbey (especially Mary) are just so friendly and are there to help with anything. The housekeeping staff take extra special time before your visit to make sure the house is clean and welcoming with beautiful towel art with florals from the garden. Even the garden staff keep the grounds in pristine shape. The beds are comfortable, the A/C works excellent and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need if you want to cook. They even start you off with some coffee. The bedrooms are nice a big and having 2 bathrooms is a nice treat. The star of the house is the pool and one of the reasons we love this place. It’s perfect size and not just a plunge pool. It will definitely keep you cooled off on the hot days. You’re also only one block away from the beach and beach clubs. Also, Puerto Morelos is our favorite town in Mexico and we really enjoyed all the new restaurants that have opened up since our last visit. We hope to come back soon.

Abbey Del Sol’s vacation rental properties provide a sacred experience that enliven all the senses and blesses the heart, mind and soul. I have had the priviledge of staying at FOUR (soon to be six) different ADS’s Casas over the last month+. I have traveled all around the world in more vacation homes than I could possibly count— none could compare with the exquisite Casa’s managed by Abbey Del Sol and their entire wonderful staff. Casa Zarah (my favorite 🙏🏼, so far?) is hands down BEST vacation home I have ever stayed in. The entire hacienda sparkles and shines with such detailed cleanliness and love, it felt like walking into a cathedral. Absolutely stunning decor and furnishings by local craftsmen, sweet and thoughtful touches at every glance, blissful fragrances that blend perfectly with the cross winds that flow throughout all the open, sliding glass doors (that you’ll find on almost every wall in the home), peaceful music playing on the tv when you walk in that harmonizes with the birds and sounds of the waterfall coming from the enormous, decadent pool. Elegant, stylish bathrooms with beautiful/colorful Mexican tile, (vibrant colors, everywhere throughout the home and bedrooms!), the most comfortable beds and pillows you’ll find anywhere in the Yukitan, custom, woven bags with beach towels in each room, bikes for riding to the beach (two blocks away) or downtown (8 short blocks away), a beautiful screened lanai and dining tables all throughout the interior and exterior, an abundance of light brightens each room from dusk till dawn, a fully/generously stocked kitchen, and terraces with breathtaking views from every bedroom— Casa Zarah is heaven on earth. It is so abundantly apparent how much pure love and joy goes into the maintenance of these exquisite homes. I have since stayed at Casa Catalina, Casa Alda and currently Casa Debra (WOW!!! More on this one in another review-the peace, beauty and privacy will take your breath away). Every single stay has been uniquely wonderful, clean as a whistle and everything I could desire in a vacation home. Peaceful, pristine, loving, whimsical and comfortable. “Where travelers find a home” is so true of my experience(s). Thank you so so much, Abbey Del Sol! I will return again and again 🙏🏼🥰

Such a hidden gem. Jin the owner is amazing. Our flight got delayed a day to get back home. We met a lovely couple staying there and recommended it. Jin got us a room that day for a very fair price. Amazing pool and amenities. Very secure and safe. They even arranged a taxi for us. Would love to stay here longer.

We stayed at Casa Zarah for a week and were taken back by how beautiful, clean and well maintained the home was. Truly felt like a home away from home. The Spanish colonial style mixed with updated appliances, air conditioners, and smart TV was quite a luxury. The whole house was very spacious, and comfortable - especially when traveling with two small children. The private pool and outdoor area was a very relaxing space to return to after a busy day at the beach or nearby cenote. The staff were great and kept the place clean while also respecting our privacy. My only, very small criticism was they charged my mother-in-law’s card twice instead of splitting it between her’s and my card. Again, a very minor comment, and we just sent her money, but it did not affect our impression of the staff or of the accommodations. Truly a wonderful piece of Mexican heaven. I highly recommend Abbey Del Sol!

We had a nice time. Quiet and private, convenient to the beach and strip. Would recommend staying on the 1st floors. We stayed at #12 which was a bit cramped. We got one rainy day and the sound of the rain falling on the floor tiles was loud. Jin, the Manager and the office staff were very helpful and amazing. Also the free bicycles were a bonus and was helpful to get to the town square.
