Tea room in the tourist hot-spot of Cerne Abbas. Park on the street nearby, if you can. The garden is not wheelchair accessible with many steps, even using the back gate onto the lane.
Small room indoors, dogs not allowed. Gardens are pleasant and there is good shelter at two double table spaces under a perspex roof. Dogs are allowed in the garden. The garden is very peaceful (it was empty when we visited, I expect it's noisy on a warm and sunny weekend).
We had sandwiches which come with crisps and a side salad. Not overly huge but very generously filled. Very tasty and the tea and coffee were good too. The prices are as you'd expect in a popular place, in these times of rising prices everywhere, £7.50-£9 for a sandwich so with a cup of tea that's more than a tenner each. You can have a baked potato at the same cost, with similar fillings.
We came here many years ago and it feels largely unchanged, the staff are friendly and service was prompt.
