After my mom decided to start a little side alteration business, we realized quickly that we needed industrial sewing machines to keep up with the work. I was very fortunate to come across ABC Sewing Machine business on Google Maps. Joseph Park treated us with such professionalism, and his expertise in sewing machines was outstanding. He worked with our budget and gave us exactly what we wanted. I greatly appreciated his communication. Even after we bought the machines and took them home, he was quick to answer any question we had by phone. My mom was a little rusty on how to use the Overlap Machine, and they gave her an extensive tutorial right before we took the machine home. We were going for one machine and ended up buying two. A single needle and an overlap. The machines were used, but were beautifully maintenanced. They almost looked new. He definitely earned our business. I highly recommend his services to anyone in the sewing industry.

We called and spoke with Angel on the phone. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. We came down from the Bay Area to see a double folder attachment. They let us do a demo in store which was extremely helpful in our decision making. The technician let me take a video of how to use the attachment and they happen to have the exact tool/part I was looking for in stock. I highly recommend this place for any sewing machine needs. They have a bunch of different machines in store and rentals, you can find practically anything you need here and if they don’t have it, they can order it, custom make it or point you in the right direction. Prices were very good compared to other stores. They ship anywhere in the U.S. I will be doing more business with them in the future. Customer service is 5-stars! Also, Gucci, Dior and other fashion brands have rented from them so they work with brands which is great because if the fashion houses use them, that means they do good business. Update: So the original folder we purchased didn’t work out and we called ABC Sewing to have them exchange it for a better folder for our needs. Angel assisted in this process and it was easy, they sent us photos via WhatsApp and shipped a new one right away. So far so good on the new folder!

We were looking for a sewing machine for my daughters bday. We actually tried to order one from back east as that’s all I could find. The place was dragging their feet on charging me. I called back two days in a row and still nothing. I just wanted the receipt to put in a bday card. After 3 days with no charge I canceled and found this place. Joseph was really nice and knowledgeable. Spent some time on the phone with me explaining options and why. I ended up buying the machine from them over the phone. I knew we wouldn’t have it in time but he knew I just wanted the receipt. He went above and beyond and sent us these photos. My daughter noticed the card with her name on it! It went so much further than just a receipt and some internet pics. A1 customer service! Would highly recommend

Before contacting ABC Sewing, I had a repairman from a different company check my machine out. He quickly told me my entire motor needed replacing and that I'd need to bring it in. I wanted a second opinion since the repair would have been nearly $400 + I would've needed to rent a truck to transport it. The vibe just didn't seem trustworthy either with that other company. So I reached out to ABC Sewing and I'm SO glad I did. Joseph replied super promptly to my emails and was so helpful in solving my issue. He even called and explained to me how I could fix it myself with a little DIY repair! No motor replacement necessary. I so appreciate that he was there to help solve the issue and not push for a tech to come out like I assumed was necessary. My machine works like a dream now. I also went to the store shortly after to pick up a few replacement parts that had come off my machine over the years. They were helpful in getting the right hardware for my machine. Amazing how they have all the little tiny pieces you could ever need. Now my machine is the happiest it has been in years. The store is awesome! So grateful for this honest and supportive business. So happy I found this place!! I inherited my mom's old Elna sewing machine from the 80s and it hadn't been used in about 20 years. The motor worked but wasn't moving the needle. They checked it out, got it all working, and gave the machine a tune-up, all for $95. Amazing! I dropped it off on a Monday, was told it would take about a week, and got a call 2 days later that it was ready. Now it runs great. Well worth the money.

I have had two machines in the last few months serviced by ABC Sewing machine and I will say I cannot recommend them enough. The quality of service and the amazing work they did for my machine was worth it 100x over. Joseph, is the man! When I brought in a machine recently i acquired second hand I knew it would need a lot of work, they got the machine back to me within 3 days fully functioning and restored, they also were super helpful when I gave them my budget, even managing to save me a few dollars under the original quote. If I could give them ten stars I would and any time I need help wi a machine i'm coming solely here and I recommend everyone else do the same!

My 89-year-old mom's Singer from the 1960s stopped working and the good people at ABC fixed the problem (faulty timing belt) for a very fair price and a week's wait. Now it's working like new again. They were even kind enough to let my mom test out the machine when we returned to pick it up.

My cousin was a Savile Row trained bespoke tailor. He put himself through school while working on sobriety. Last year he lost his fight with opiate addiction and I inherited his well loved machine from ABC. I work in a prosthetics laboratory and Charlies machine now will help people regain independence. Sewing Leather and straps requires different parts for Charlies machine. ABC has accepted photos and added parts to their website so that I could purchase online and have shipped to the lab. I brought a 15 year old Singer sewing machine for repair because the presser foot remained in the down position. It was repaired and got a tune-up at the same time. It was reasonably priced and ready in a week. My machine hasn't purred like this in a long time!

Joseph Park and his staff are not only honest but are also extremely helpful and forthcoming with information (especially for a newbie like me) to get the appropriate machine, at a good price, package deal, and accessories so you can do what you want and need to do. The shop is a little out of my way, but they've definitely earned my business as a repeat customer. I can see why they get so many good reviews, they really do live up to it.

I had the privilege to speak to Marlene at ABC Sewing Machine about a "special" commercial machine. Joseph was absolutely fantastic; can't recommend him enough. I bought my girlfriend a vintage Necchi sewing machine and it was having some problems. Joseph tested it, replaced the part that was broken (bobbin holder), showed her how to properly adjust the machine AND how to lubricate it. Then he sold us some extra bobbins, needles and lubrication - and the whole thing came to about $30 bucks! He could have charged us a HUNDRED and thirty, but he was such a great guy, so knowledgeable and so friendly. A thousand stars for this business; may God bless their endeavors for the next 40 years (they just passed their 40 year anniversary of being in business)!

Quick customer service, friendliest workers, and sewing machine experts. If there is a place where you need parts or full on machines they most likely have it. I've been referring all my fashion friends to purchase their machines. Each one had a positive thing to say on their experience. I needed help to get my bothers sewing machine fixed. Customer Service at Brothers is a disaster. I was able to get a hold of Joseph Parker who is the VP of ABC and he was amazing and super effective on the phone to help fix my sewing machine. Without his help I would have not been able to get it repaired as fast as a lot of sewing shops were not operating and repairing during Covid. I very much recommend anyone to go to ABC and not be disappointed.

I took my machine in to fix. My husband went and picked it up for me. They gave him back JUST the machine, not foot step, no outlet, nothing. They kept everything I gave them along with my machine. AND they would not pick up their phone when I called 10+ times again and again and again. It's useless for me to have the machine and not the outlet and foot pedal and all the missing pieces. Give me back my parts please!

Joseph and his entire staff were great! Took in a home overlock machine that was given to me to get looked at. I left it for their technician. They got back to me within 2 days and told me what it needed. When I picked it up Joseph showed me how to thread it. He gave me an overview of the machine and how to identify threading problems and fix them. He was great! Definitely returning here again and telling everyone I know about this place.

My sewing machine hadn't been oiled in a while. When I finally got motivated to repair a few items of clothing, I plugged in my sewing machine and, to my dismay, the needle bumped something and the needle mechanism froze in place. I took my sewing machine to ABC Sewing Machine for repair and picked it up within one week. A bit pricey but ABC representatives were friendly and professional. My sewing machine runs beautifully now. Big UPS to ABC!

I was thinking about buying a home serger and came across ABC Sewing Machine doing a Google search. I ended up taking a trip to the store even though I hadn't initially thought of an industrial machine and my experience from start to finish was excellent. I had help from Joseph deciding which machine to buy who was very knowledgeable and polite. Then I had training on the machine I purchased and the person who trained me was also great. He was very patient as my shaky hands practiced threading the machine and I left the training session confident I could set everything up on my own. Then when it came to delivery, the machine was delivered on the date/time as promised. I couldn't be happier with the experience and if I need another machine in the future I'll be heading back to ABC again.

God works in mysterious ways! We initially went up to LA to purchase a servo motor for my wife's industrial sewing machine from a shop I will mot mention. This was on a Saturday morning when they were supposed to be open but they were closed without notice (I was not very happy). Found ABC Sewing, thank you Google, and the rest is history. Joseph is the man!!! He not only sold us everything we needed but also took an hour out of his time to show us how to replace and adjust the feed dogs and needle among other things. His knowledge of sewing machines borders on superhuman and is the nicest guy. He breaks things down so even I can understand. We will not shop anywhere else for my wife's Juki, they have earned our business and loyalty. BTW- their prices are excellent and the motor was actually cheaper than the "other" store (exact same model). Everything worked out perfectly. Do yourself a favor and go to ABC Sewing Machine, don't mess around with anyone else or you will be wasting your time.

If you have any sewing machine problems that need to get fixed, LOOK NO FURTHER. Found this place on yelp after calling many different spots. I bought a Bernina 830 Record from eBay many years ago. I received the machine in very poor condition and the insides were so gummed up with dried out oil (the owner on eBay did NOT tell me this). I called a local repair guy to help me look at it, he basically got it running but I didn't realize how bad of a job he did until I had to do a project that required using my automatic buttonhole feature; The knob on my machine was so out of whack and springs had lost their elasticity. So! I go online and find ABC sewing on yelp. Thought I would give it a try. I called before going to see if they could resolve my issue. I spoke with Joseph on the phone and after our conversation I felt confident to bring my Bernina in. Met Joseph and he assessed the issue and walked me through everything he was going to do to the machine. He was very kind and informative and I felt no pressure. What I love about ABC is that it's a beautiful example of a mom and pop business in Los Angeles: a tight knit staff, where there are 3 languages being spoken simultaneously (English, Spanish, Chinese) amidst all the hustle and bustle of downtown. It's a wonderful thing to see and hear. Got my machine back after a day. I'm SO, SO happy with its performance!!!!!! It's basically brand new. They did such a good job servicing it. Sorry it took me so long to write this review. Honestly I've been having too much fun sewing again :) Sewing has been WAY more pleasurable and seeing all of my stitches come out consistently makes me want to cry. Will be back here for any sewing machine needs. They also sell supplies as well for reasonable prices. There's also a parking lot for the store. Thank you Joseph and ABC staff!

You Had One Job To Do. We brought my wife's Brother sewing embroidery machine in for servicing. The machine was locked & needed servicing (oiling/cleaning). Something must have happened while they were servicing it. They oiled & cleaned but they said something was, "wrong with the tension so (they) didn't want to go any further into the machine to keep from breaking." Something like that. So they wanted us to pick it up at no charge. Hmmm that's weird, servicing a machine and not charging for it ... must have done something wrong. Their story changed a couple of times. We brought it home. The machine was unlocked & would sew again, HOWEVER, it would not see a straight line. Zig-zag, and such ok. The machine was also a bit greasy and many of the outside parts didn't fit as well as when we brought it in. We took the machine to ABC because it was a certified Brother shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MACHINE HERE FOR SERVICING. They must have bent something inside for it to stop sewing straight. I'm glad they didn't charge. The only positive thing to come out of our experience! Now I have to buy my wife another new or used machine. Wah wah.

I've been into DIY crafts for so long... And buying used thrift store sewing machines just doesn't cut it. The one time I was in fashion district, I came across this amazing place! It's located in a fairly busy street, but it's so massive of a place, you can't miss it. There's street parking (meters you can pay by coins or credit) and they've got their own parking lot (free, durr!). Just coming in, they were so sweet. No pressures into buying what you don't want, so of course that's a thumbs up. You literally see people running around for different parts, so be patient! They want to help you out. Onto the review... I bought a small home sewing machine which works just perfectly. They do the large sales as well, of course. I didn't really think about it about it upon entering their store... But of course they do the individual sales! Thank GOODNESS. I've had it for two years now, and it did crap out (manufacturer reasons -____-) and they offered to fix it for me! How freaking convenient and quick. Love it! I know they've been in the works of the website for years. For them to finally have it up is awesome! I don't need tutorials for anything... But if my machine happens to malfunction again, I can easily do it myself. Thank goodness! On a side note, I've been wanting one of those large ruler placemat things for a long time. Since they've got such sweet customer service employees (and I was too lazy to go to joanns), I bought it from their website just to give them some business. Do it! You won't be disappointed.

I am a student from James Madison University and I needed information on a sewing machine for a school project. Since I was not looking to actually buy, most suppliers did not take me seriously when I asked for quotes and info. However, Mr Joseph was different. Not only did he send me a quote, but he seemed genuinely interested in my project and gave me curated advice on what machine to cite in my research based on my requirements. Although I cannot vouch for the physical quality of the service (which seems to be great as well based on other reviews) since I did not buy anything I can vouch for the passion and dedication this company has for serving customers from the delightful interaction I had with Mr Joseph.

Joseph is a life saver!!! I had a couple of issues with my JUKI DDL-8700. I sent photos of what was going wrong & Joseph immediately responded. He sent a technician out to check my machine & the tech knew exactly what was wrong as soon as he saw it. He took his time and made sure I understood how the machine should've been working. I also follow ABC sewing YouTube channel. That was a tremendous life saver as well, because I was able to identify & articulate to the technician exactly what was wrong (although he saw what was wrong but allowed me to show him). Within a matter of 15 minutes, my machine was up and running smoothly!!! The technician provided top of the line service & I am pleased. I am an embroider doing business in Fullerton, Ca. I do a lot of towels and it's always a pain to trim loose threads on back of towels. Joseph explained about the product but still had my doubt. He was nice enough to bring me a tester and it only took 5 minutes before making a decision to purchase. It works and it works well. I am saving a lot of time on trimming back of embroidery and it only enhances the quality of my embroidery. I strongly recommend to all embroiders. If anyone wants to see how this machine works I will be more than happy to show the machine. I really thank Joseph and his staff for a brilliant idea and wish all embroiders get to know this machine. I had 2 machines that needed to be repaired, 1 being a Viking that's older than I am which had been sitting almost 3 years. Mike was able to repair both machines and I couldn't be happier to be using my old machine again! I forgot what a difference it makes to work on a quality machine and I were in the market for a new one I would definitely go back to ABC. Mike was knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful - the type of person you want to do business with.

I expected I'd have to leave my machine, but figured it was worth the long drive to at least get the machine fIxed correctly this time. I was so surprised when in just a few minutes a helpful man figured out the problem with my bobbin, tested it, fixed it, and I was out the door with my machine less than $15 later. Fantastic!

This is reply factually incorrect and a willful, disingenuous attempt to rewrite history using standard current woke tropes. The "racist rant" to which he refers was me loudly stating "Fuck White people" towards the door as I exited the premises which was a reaction to and comment on exactly how he treated me, and obviously why. I did not arrive heated. I showed as much warmth as I was shown. I was forced to attend in person because I was blocked on the phone from speaking with him but I was polite on entry. I eventually became frustrated because I was dismissed upon arrival by his assistant and expected to wait whilst he enjoyed a social chat with his friend, then decided to potter about in his office doing nothing of substance knowing I was watching and waiting for 10 mins - a deliberate power trip - before an insultingly low buy back offer for an essentially as-new super expensive top of the range machine. Totally unnecessary and deliberate. A little warmth would have gone a long way as exhibited towards his friend / previous customer before he switched it off for me. No-one was at risk at any time he just doesn't like being called out for his racist choices. So easy to try and switch that onto me which I utterly, absolutely reject. My previous partner was the same race as him, his attack is nothing more than an ignorant insult he feels he can get away with in the current climate. It is possible for White people to be the victims of racial profiling as much as any race and that is exactly what happened here. I have absolutely no intention of returning to this store, why would I when the substandard service I received and the reason why are crystal clear. I already sold the item for much more than he offered anyway which was a huge win. Using the police as a weapon is a standard Karen tactic, they would laugh at his call with zero threat present. His reply is outrageous based on what actually happened and has been reported, my initial review absolutely stands. Don't profile your customers if you don't want to be called out in public.

We are located in Hawaii and needed another industrial sewing machine quickly. Joseph and his staff were incredible. They had the machine out together quickly and had it ready on a pallet for pick up the same day. The machine is expected to arrive tomorrow. The very next day after ordering it all the way to Hawaii!!! They are very polite and kelp us informed of the progress so that our shipper could arrange pick up. I will definitely keep this company in mind for any future needs.

I had a problem with a Brother home sewing machine. ABC was listed as an authorized dealer so I called them. Joseph tried to trouble-shoot my problem over the phone but I was not able to fix the issue myself. I took my machine in and he fixed it right on the spot. Even though mine is an inexpensive machine, they gave me spectacular service. Everyone was super friendly. Great experience over all.

Gabriel is awesome, I was looking to purchase a new Juki DDL 5550 customized with caster wheels and he was able to set me up with one at a very competitive price. I came in the following morning to test the machine and was given a comprehensive tutorial by one of the friendly staff, the sewing machine was delivered a few hours later straight to my door. I'm so impressed with the service, thank you guys so much!

I just received a industrial machine about a weeks ago a used one of course from someone who thought they wanted to sew but lucky for me she changed her mind. I had only used it once and it was working fine. I was just getting use to adjust and how to use it properly, it's a single needle machine. Well I broke a needle while sewing no big deal I just put another in and continued sewing until the next day. I am launching a line so this is no longer a hobby for me so I need this machine working but it stop the wheel was stuck. I went You Tube for about 8 hours trying everything under the sun. I called around many places and just didn't get a good feeling about the service I may receive. So I saw a yelp review as I googled my problem, Joseph was the name I kept reading and the entire store customer service was great so I gave it a shot. I called to speak with Joseph, I tried to explain my problem and he actually took the time to go over on the phone what could be wrong but I wasn't sure. I ask him, with the problem I was having could he give me an estimate and I understood he could not give an exact figure without actually having the machine in his presence but he did give me a figure. He told he could look at it that same day if I could get down there in time he had company business to attend to. I hurried there as soon as I could everyone there was pleasant and when I came in to ask for him they got him immediately. He was able to trouble shoot my problem and fix my machine and only suggested I replace my timing, he showed me why it was a problem. I never felt pressured to do so, it just made sense. He took his time to explain my problem and what I could do in the future to check for it. Meeting him on first impression I knew I was in good hands. I would recommended this place for all of your sewing needs. I have found my source. This is a nice size store with a great selection and they have been in business for over 37 years. Very professional. I was so stressed out about the machine not working in the middle of my project, he save my day. They even offer you coffee or water. Great place. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!

Came here looking for a industrial sewing machine for a good price. I'm a design student but i was tired of using lower quality home machines so i decided to come here and check it out. They have a lot of machines here from brand new to used with lots of specialty machines I haven't seen at other places. The workers there were nice to help me out with my questions, even though at times it may get a little busy, they are highly knowledgeable. All in all I ended up buying a used Juki for myself, but I was sure to stock up on some new rulers and scissors while I was here. They have lots of accessories in stock, simply a great one stop shop for sewing machines and accessories.
