ABC Swiss Quality Hotel

After staying in Chur at a different hotel that was more traditional, I can easily say that ABC Swiss Quality Hotel is superb for a stay involving train travel. It is a 2 minute walk from the Chur train station. It is modern, clean, with small but comfortable rooms. Rooms include an ironing board, safe and small refrigerator. The air conditioning works well (small drips on the floor as it is overhead), the bathroom is new with good water pressure, though a bit tight between the toilet and shower. The beds were very comfortable, though there was no top sheet, the duvet was of high quality. There are outlets and USB A ports (time for USB C as well). The free breakfast was delicious with traditional Swiss and other hot and cold foods, coffee/tea served by efficient and professional staff and a bright room on the ground floor opposite the check in area. There is a very small gym and sauna. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to those who value location and comfort. The elevator is small but efficient - likely busy at certain times but stairs are available too. It had less of a hotel chain feel and more of a modern mid-range hotel. No on-site restaurant (serving anything other than breakfast) but there are restaurants, fast food and even better, COOP grocery stores within 5-10 minutes to pick up food and drinks. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Chur is a good base to visit other small towns and to end or begin your Bernina Express or Glacier Express journey.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is conveniently located within 5-minute walk from the train station. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The staff were warm and welcoming, providing us with a personalized leaflet that included our names and plenty of useful information about the hotel. A sweet touch—quite literally—was the complimentary chocolate they gave us at checkout. Our room was spacious and featuring double sinks and a bathtub. The space was renovated, with high-quality sanitary fittings and beautiful oak parquet flooring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had a restful night here. Each guest received a complimentary bottle of still and sparkling water. We especially loved the Swiss-made body lotion and shower gel—the scent was amazing and lingered pleasantly after use. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Switzerland. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chur!

Wonderful hotel walking distance from the train station. Staff went out of their way for everything we needed. Even had laundry facility so that we could continue our trip with clean clothes again. Best choice for a hotel. Guest card let's you get around town free

This hotel is convenient to the train station which was important to us since we were taking the Bernina Express in the morning. We opted to stay two nights and explore Chur and we're so glad we did. The hotel has large, clean and modern rooms. Our room faced the rear, was high up, and had a partial mountain view. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is great. I especially liked the braided bread. The waitstaff are extremely helpful and the coffee is good. We ate at an excellent Italian restaurant very close to the hotel. We highly recommend this sweet hotel.

Sadly my husband & I only had one night with ABC but we recommend it highly. It was so close to the station and yet so quiet. The room was such a lovely stylish design and had everything you would need. Being English we drink tea so they very kindly added a kettle for our use to the impressive coffee machine. The fridge was a really useful addition and the shower was glorious, such good water pressure. On arrival the receptionist helped us out with a fab restaurant, booking a table for us and being helpful in many ways. Such good service! Their breakfast buffet was outstanding, the quality and variety of the food on offer was impressive as was the super way it was all laid out. The waiters/waitresses provided perfect and discreet service. Finally I foolishly left my journal behind there, they tried to email us before we caught the train, but unfortunately we did not pick this up. So later that day, after a phone call they were happy to package it up and post it to me. It arrived at our home 2 days after they sent it. Just brilliant. (We paid postage obviously). We have already recommended the hotel to friends.

Great location steps from train station. Very clean quiet room with decent size bathroom and nice walkin shower. Wonderful breakfast included with linen tablecloths in bright cheery dining room with very efficient friendly staff.|Took one star off because of no heat control in room with bedding consisting of two fluffy duvets that were too hot to cover with, but room too cold without covering. Hard to sleep well because of that.

Excellent all round. One of those rare hotels where the photos don't do it justice, was in the most basic single room and it was big, comfortable and modern. Very comfortable bed and new bathroom. Ava on reception was very helpful and patient with my silly questions and requests, but all the staff were very helpful and friendly too. Perfect location for the station and the city in general as everything is in walking distance. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was a fantastic choice and quality. A bread bar, smoked salmon and hot breakfast items as well as continental, steaks, fruits. Plus a little fizz to make a mimosa! Excellent location next to the train station but a short walk to the picturesque old town. Clean, stylish rooms and very comfortable beds/pillows. Lovely scented shampoo and lotions in the bathrooms and super pleasant and helpful staff
