"Learning about Islam Al-Fanar Islamic Cultural Center is one of the most widely known architectural landmarks in Doha. In this wedding-cake shaped building, non-Muslim visitors are offered extended as well as crash-courses on the Islamic faith. It offers a variety of educational, yet unforgettable, activities, such as exhibitions, tours of the cultural center, visits to the mosque, Arabic language courses and the unique opportunity to attend the khutbah (Friday sermon) in English. The center is happy to meet the visitor before the prayer to explain mosque etiquette, the dos and don’ts."

Vry Nice place and beautiful. The Fanar Mosque is a stunning example of modern Islamic architecture in Qatar. Located in the heart of Doha, the mosque's striking design blends traditional and contemporary elements. Its majestic dome and slender minaret rise above the cityscape, creating a breathtaking silhouette against the desert sky. The mosque's architecture is inspired by traditional Qatari styles, with intricate patterns and designs adorning its walls and ceilings. The interior is equally impressive, featuring beautiful calligraphy and ornate details. The mosque's design reflects the rich cultural heritage of Qatar while incorporating modern elements that make it a unique and awe-inspiring place of worship. Fanar Mosque is not only a place for prayer but also a popular tourist destination. Visitors can take guided tours to learn about the mosque's history, architecture, and significance in Qatari culture. The mosque's serene atmosphere and stunning design make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in exploring Qatar's rich cultural heritage. Would you like more information about Fanar Mosque or Qatar's cultural landmarks?

I recently visited the Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre in Doha, and honestly, it was such a cool experience. Everyone calls it "Fanar" because of that spiral minaret—it’s impossible to miss when you’re wandering around the Corniche or Souq Waqif. I’d seen it lit up at night before, but seeing it up close during the day was something else. The architecture is stunning, with that towering spiral giving it this timeless vibe, like it’s connecting the past and present.

The exterior design of the mosque is beautiful. The spiral design is inspired by a similar structure / mosque that is located in Iraq 🇮🇶 (called the Great Mosque of Samarra). This mosque in Qatar 🇶🇦 is exquisite from outdoors, especially at night. The indoor design is very simple, however. I have attached both indoor and outdoor photos.
