I believe the hotel has recently been renovated because everything looks so beautiful and brand new. The lobby is wonderfully decorated and gives off a festive, holiday vibe the moment you step in. It truly feels like a 5-star hotel to me.||I stayed in Room 101, and it was incredibly spacious and spotless. The bed was huge, and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. I slept so well throughout my stay.||The location is perfect, right in the heart of Kuching’s hot spots. The iconic Kuching Cat Statue is just a short walk away, and there are malls, UTC, and plenty of restaurants nearby, making everything super convenient.||A special shout-out to the staff especially Norman as they were extremely friendly and helpful. Every request was attended to swiftly and with a warm smile. I genuinely felt welcomed throughout my stay.||Highly recommended! I will definitely return.

The service level and ready smile from every single staff (from the very moment you walk into the hotel) can challenge / triumph any 5 star hotels. This is our second return, upgrading to a bigger room for comfort and windows to avoid feeling claustrophobic. Even a random staff went out of his way to follow us out of the hotel and on to the next street just to show us the right way to an attraction. Malaysian hospitality truly at its best here. We love you Abell Hotel and see you again next time.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay! The hotel staff, especially Mr. Lazamy, was incredibly helpful and kind. We returned last week after a 12 night stay at the Abell Hotel and what a great holiday it was. The hotel positively sparkles following a recent full renovation. The entire property is spotlessly clean , extremely well run by the best staff and we must comment that ALL the staff were amazing, professional friendly and helpful, overseen by the Manager Lia and front reception staff member Gilbert and again we must mention that ALL of the staff were amazing, we travel a lot and this group of hotel staff totally stand out.|Rooms are large light and very well equipped with great bathrooms, the restaurant/bar is great with a great breakfast. The entire property is so well run .The hotel is also so well placed near food outlets, shopping, currency exchange and the river walk. |We will definitely return, thank you all for a great holiday. I checked into the hotel deluxe room for only one night and so this review is based on a short stay. The deluxe room is not the cheapest offered by the hotel but I found the room to be just basic which is fine for short stays. The room appears clean but my sharp eyes spied a strand of long hair on my bed and hairs in the shower room floor. I will not fuss over these hairy issues though. The bed is firm, aircond works well and the water pressure in the bathroom is good. Don't expect a wide variety of offerings for breakfast but they are good enough for me. Overall the hotel offers good value for the price you pay

This is WORST hotel EVER!!! BEWARE of this hotel and room may vary!. I am sharing my personal experience. This hotel is not only the worst but the most disappointing! The bedroom is very disappointing. First of all, the beds are very hard. Honestly, it is more comfortable to put down a blanket and sleep on a cold floor. Next, The bathroom is disappointing. The shower is one quarter of the bathroom which may sound big but the sink(average size) is also a quarter of the bathroom. This should put in perspective the size of the bathroom. Furthermore, there are only two plugs in a two bed bedroom! This is unacceptable there are two people and only two plugs. The hotel isn’t even able to make the walls properly!!! Some parts are actually hollow when you knock on it. The television also has huge bezels which just fills up space and it is so bulky that the size starts to obstruct space. The service was terrible but I DON’T BLAME THE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE BUT THE MANAGEMENT. The people are honestly overworked and just sound absolutely drain and when they didn’t give me a second room car even if they approved the request didn’t make me angry at them but management. It feels like they worked so hard but there is a human limit that i feel like they have hit. Lastly, there were cobwebs on the wall but it disappeared which could mean that there is a spider. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS REVIEW AND TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! The people have changed my room and now it is BETTER. I still wouldn’t rate the beds higher than 2 stars but the service was absolutely amazing. Many people came to help and other rooms that I booked didn’t have to be changed as it was still decent.

Good: 1) Good location near to the famous spots around Kuching. 2) Good Breakfast but limited choice. 3) Good front desk service. Bad: 1) Toilet is flooded everytime we shower. 2) smell from the sink/ drain every morning. 3) Room is unclean (found some french fries on the floor, dusty everyday even after house cleaning, dirty pillow case was left in the room). 4) Room are small. 5) Noisy. You can hear every conversation of other people who talk in the corridor. 6) A useless window that is facing corridor (I don't know what is it for, the light from corridor is disturbing). 7) only 1 electric socket near the bed for Twin Bed room.
