Abell Hotel

Second time in Kuching, wanted a affordable hotel within the Old Town area. This place is the one for you. Well the hotel has a great restaurant near the lobby, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.. Feels like VIP every time i walk in the lobby. This place is very near to the Waterfront and convenient store can be find nearby too.

Overall, the hotel was quite good. However, the view was a bit disappointing—I expected a street view, but it turned out to be a small alley instead. Additionally, the soundproofing of the room was not great, as I could clearly hear the noise from cars outside.Another issue was the placement of the toilet. It was positioned too close to the glass partition, making it uncomfortable to sit properly.Despite these minor drawbacks, the stay was still decent.

I booked a room with view but it is a joke. The view is from a small opening at the side of the room which looking out is actually the interior of the building (see photo attached)Also there are only one power socket at study desk and one at the water heater area, none elsewhere (see photo attached). No power extension can be supplied by the hotel either. The shower screen design makes the floor easily wet. A very disappointed stay as compared to 2 years ago. Only plus point is the location.

Good service. Excellent staff. When booking, make sure to double check whether it has a window or not. But the PIC lady that wears tudung, she's extremely helpful. She even suggested me to try the mi kolok at Cafe 126. And it worth the walk. The hotel is ALMOST near the waterfront.

I stayed at Abell Hotel Kuching for business and selected a room without a view, which was reasonably priced given the central location. Initially, I was given a room with a noisy air conditioner, which made it uncomfortable. After requesting a room change, I was told availability was limited and was moved to a room near the lift. Unfortunately, the new room had its own issues – the WiFi was unreliable, and I had to connect to other rooms' networks, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the room was noisy at night, with sounds from people walking by and the bell of the lift constantly audible. On the positive side, the location is good with lots of amenities nearby, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I hope the hotel improves its air conditioning units and WiFi connectivity to provide a better experience for future guests.

Staff verry friendly. I want to ask if I can borrow a kitchen cooler to put my cake and their staff is very helpful. Definitely will repeat this hotel again if i visit kuching in the future.

the location superb👍🏻 only the socket in room not enuf for 3 if need charging handphone, powerbank or using hairdryer

This is always my first choice of hotel during my business trip but I am little disappointed with the staff and security. They are not communicate well to make my friend feel embarrassed when parking
