I heard the Taiwanese restaurant before but I haven't been to there because it was super hard to find parking. When I saw it has promotion in December, I finally got there. To be honest, it was much better than I expected. The portion of food was decent and the seasonings was light but still flavorful. The trio fried platter was a must order. Bento was very impressed too, main dish with two sides and rice. The only item I didn't like was the night market steak, not enough sauce and the noodles had no seasonings and muddy. I may want to try more dishes if I go nearby next time.

Wonderful. I'll be back. Soup is OUTSTANDING. The soup gets served and goes back to get a flavour upgrade. Very unique experience. Plates are beautifully plated and flavours are amazing.

A delicious bowl of Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. I loved all the herbs on top. Broth hit just right and I slurped it all up. Service was attentive and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back to try some other dishes.

Chicken broth is incredible, flavours are perfectly balanced, and the broth itself is so rich and comforting! We love all the dishes we ordered, and we will definitely come back!

I came across a previous one-star review claiming this restaurant serves “fake Taiwanese food,” and I feel compelled to respond. Having lived in Taiwan for over 20 years and still traveling there two to three times a year, I can confidently say that this place is one of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants in Metro Vancouver. While it may not get every dish perfect, I deeply appreciate being able to enjoy flavors that remind me of home. It’s not easy to find authentic Taiwanese cuisine abroad, and this restaurant does an admirable job of bringing those familiar tastes to the table. No place is perfect, but for anyone craving genuine Taiwanese food, this restaurant is about as close as it gets outside of Taiwan. It is recommended and i will come back very soon.

The best restaurant in Vancouver(not just a Taiwanese restaurant). We can all feel the owner’s attentiveness and taste. The kitchen is incredibly clean. We will keep supporting this restaurant 😀😀😀

A.Bento is a great spot for anyone craving authentic Taiwanese food in a welcoming atmosphere. Located on the south side of West Broadway between Ash and Heather Streets, it’s convenient and easy to find. I recently tried the popcorn chicken bento and the deep-fried pork chops bento, and both were excellent choices. The dishes were prepared fresh to order, capturing that balance of crispy yet not greasy, making each bite a delight. The bento meals are only available on weekdays, but they’re well worth a weekday While I usually go for the deluxe pork ragu on rice—another stellar dish—I’m glad I ventured to try the bento options. The popcorn chicken was seasoned just right, and the pork chops were tender with a satisfying crunch. Each bento came with a generous portion of protein for us, making it a good value for the price. Service at A.Bento was also great; the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a welcoming place that’s perfect for a lunch break especially for anyone who appreciates fresh, authentic Taiwanese flavors. Whether you’re a regular like me or trying it out for the first time, A.Bento is a must-visit.
