Their products are fabulous. However, I've ordered their Millet & Rice sandwich bread for a few years and I'm extremely disappointed about the malted barley addition. I recently ordered 3 loaves, ate some assuming it was the same recipe, and came on to write a review of how good it was and how it had improved since the last time I ordered. It was hard to believe it could have improved as it was a perfect non-gluten bread before. Then I saw the other reviews re: the malted barley. The barley has improved it, but at the detriment to those of us who can no longer eat it. For those who want to avoid gluten, but don't need to, it's wonderful. For those of us who need to avoid gluten, it's a sad day. FYI the ingredient list is not visible on the website and is covered by the item next to it.

We were told the pizza would take an hour. We got to the address listed on the FB page, where we walked an icy driveway to get to the door. When we called, they said it's one driveway down from the address listed, my husband fell and hurt his arm walking back to the car so we could drive to the right driveway. The bakery is hidden from the road, zero signs showing where it is. We ran into multiple people experiencing the same issue. All orders were delayed by 30 min, making it 1.5 hrs. The dough tasted good but it was mostly that, dough. I got a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and onions, $2 per topping. It was basically a thin layer of cheese, a single pepperoni, a slice of mushroom and one onion strip per slice. My husband got meat lovers, toppings inconsistent, sauce non-existent. One time was enough.

Abigail’s “millet and sweet brown rice” bread was a staple of excellent break for gluten free folks for years. Since it was sold at Whole Foods and since they shipped, it was a great option for gluten sensitive and celiac folks in New England. As of our last order, Abigail’s bakery millet and sweet brown rice is NO LONGER GLUTEN FREE. it appears they changed their recipe earlier this year to add malted barley flour. The fact that they made this change without any change in marketing or how the bread was labeled is unacceptable.

We tried the cinnamon raison bread and their sticky buns. Both were excellent. It's hard to tell whether their products are gluten-free. They also offer hot dog and hamburger buns. Haven't tried those yet. Bottom line: thr food is excellent, the atmosphere is more like a warehouse. The physical store is not much of anything. That doesn't bother me, but my wife was expecting something more traditional. Finally, it's very difficult to find. We had to ask a local to ask for directions.

On a vacation to Maine we bought a loaf of Abigail’s Bakery Gluten-free bread from a small coop grocery. It was fantastic. I went back and got the gluten-free dinner rolls which I used for hit dog buns, burger/slider buns and lobster rolls. YUM!! I am hard to please with gluten free breads. Usually, they are “eh.” Abigail’s is ridiculously good. I reached out to see if the bakery would ship to my home address in the SW US.. They do ship all over and they even told me the best day to place the order for maximum freshness. I am thrilled.

Hands down the best gluten free bread in the world! It holds together for a sandwich and isn't super dense like many gf breads. The dinner rolls are amazing, and the pumpkin bread toasted with cream cheese on top... delicious!! I don't live nearby, but their online ordering works smoothly. The order arrives fresh and tasty and freezes well. 🍞

Google
Absolutely amazing!!! I can't say enough good about this bakery. Their gluten free breads are hands down the best I've ever tried. They ship all over and are locally in NH. Quite a few retailers carry their items. Whole foods carries some items but they are in the frozen section. Thank you Abigail's for bringing bread back to the gluten sensitive and super fresh natural breads for everyone else!

When I had to give up gluten the thing I was saddest about was bread and pastries, and then I found Abigail’s. The millet and brown rice cinnamon swirl loaf is such a treat! I would be fine with never eating another coffee cake as long as I had this bread, and that’s saying a lot. Also, it’s dairy free! Which is not always the case with gf breads. Thank you to Abigail’s for making such amazing products for people with food sensitivity!

Yelp
I came across Abigail's bread for the first time yesterday. I'm not kidding when I say the loaf of cinnamon raisin swirl did not last longer than 12 hours. I tried it with butter, with peanut butter, butter and peanut butter, plain, with bacon, with eggs, toasted, not toasted. I even went as far as making French toast with it. Everything about it is unbelievably amazing. I am beyond the point of full, but cannot stop thinking about eating another slice. Thank you to whoever made this happiness.

Yelp
Abigail's bakery is a certified organic Bakery in Weare NH. They offer many different types of bread that can be purchased at many stores in New England. Or on their website, Abigailsbakery.com Their millet and sweet brown rice bread is excellent and they make hot dog rolls, pizza crust, burger buns, dinner rolls and Foccacia! This is a great option for those with gluten allergies or those that avoid gluten. Went to the store today to purchase a few things and met Abigail herself! She was extremely friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Abigail's bakery and all their products!

Yelp
I am not a gluten free, wheat free person...I think wheat is very overdone.I just like the taste of other grains . Their Millet & Sweet Brown Rice bread is delicious. it's a great bread for "toast" and sandwiches also. It's a little crumbly, not bad though. There are lots of whole grain breads on the market and although they are delicious sometimes you want something that is not so dense . I don't always want a bread that I can stand on. I found this at the Coop in Maine. I wish they delivered to Vermont some where...Maybe Montpelier Coop, Healthy Living in Burlington perhaps??
